    1. So why didn't she choose a better team then to manage her MUP journey?

      Delete

    3. Baka kasi maganda reputation ng team na yun having worked with previous queens from Cebu. Kaya yun pinili nya.

    5. Pakabaduy naman ng design

    2. Kaya hanggang barangay levels lang ako bakz.

    2. It could be...provicial pageants p lng magastos na...lalo na yan national pageantsvtas nauso pa yang online challenges kemerut na dapat hd ang mga kuha nila.

  4. Honestly thought provided lahat sa contestant by the camp they’re in. Hindi pala.

    1. Nope. You pay or find sponsors. Kaya I feel sorry for those na binubully ng mga madlang tao kasi these girls sacrifice a lot to be there. Oras, effort, resources.

      Delete

      Delete
    5. 11:28pm These girls and their families put a lot in their pageant runs and kasama na ang criticism sa pagsali. What a mean view on these girls and pageantry that you have. Do the world a favor and don't procreate.

Otherwise mag independent n lng. Kung nasa camp dapat minimal gastos n lng for candidates una binayaran nila pagpapatrain in return dapat ang camp maghanap ng sponsors for them.

    1. Just stating FACTS
      Dagdag reputation din kasi yan

    2. Meaning she has worked with professionals and can afford to pay a gown.

      Delete
    3. 10:13 ang linaw ng gusto niyang ipahiwatig. Clouded lang masyado pang-unawa mo.

      Delete
    4. she needs to mention that to support her claim na hindi siya mandurugas and they have the money to pay!

      Delete
    5. Ang point eh hindi naman siya shunga lang na pinulot kung saan, na hindi alam how the modeling and pageant business works. She knows how real pros act and what the industry standards are.

      Delete

      Delete
    7. I dont see anything wrong with her statement dhil un nman ang totoo and she just want to make sure her point is so pointy so that it will get through to people. Lalo n s designer. Ang totoong humble bragging ay ung si "im so new york" and "the govt cant afford me" eh un nman pala ay peke rin ang educational achievement.

      Delete
    8. Hahahaha 12:55PM natawa ako sa I'm so new york mo. Tumpak!

      Delete
Nayayabangan agad lol

  6. Wow. Half a millon pesos for pageant dreams. Wow.

    ReplyDelete

Plus , if the designer did a great job , promotion na rin yun ng business nya .

    ReplyDelete

    1. This! Gets ko na need bayadan ang designers pero grabe wala man lang any means of support from the city?

      Delete
  9. But that’s really 100% higher than estimate though: P20,000 to P40,000?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Ang cost estimate is good as contract. Mali yun designer

      Delete
  10. for sure pag yan nanalong best in national costume o nagka place man lang sa pageant, walang ganyang emerut.

    ReplyDelete
  11. oh well money talks

    ReplyDelete
  12. That national costume is not worth more than 20k, yung mga tassel ng kurtina at payong plus fabric as cape — there wasnt much in there, i think im on the side of the mom here.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Mali 'yung designer pero 'yung thinking na materials lang babayaran mo is how creatives in our country get taken advantage of. You are also paying for the experience and expertise of the designer.

      Delete

      Delete
  13. Ang chaka nung outfit sa totoo lang but that's not the point haha

    ReplyDelete
  14. Curious ako which side is telling the truth..i work in events and although we give an estimate prize hindi nmn sya dapat malayo sa binigay mong estimate. Otherwise you have to
provide another quote. Just my two cents..abangan ang susunod na sagutan.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think they're lying naman. This is not his first time making a costume, he should be able to provide a more accurate quote. Hindi mo din naman masisi yung kandidata if ma pu put off siya na biglang dumoble presyo. Unfair din yung nanay sa mga paratang. Axel is well respected in the industry. He made the costume of both MUPH 2021 AND MWPH 2021 which they wore on the international stage .

  15. Lesson for the girls: sign a contract before makipag commit sa mga creatives, ilatag lahat ng details. consult a lawyer. malaking pera yan.

  16. Anong connect ng pag speak mo ng 4 languages and straight A student mo sa pag respect mo sa professionals?? Humble bragging??

    1. Tih, that is to support her claim na hindi sya mandurugas. Jusko, mag-aral ka muna bago ka maging Marites. Kakaloka!

      Delete
    2. Ibig sabihin matino comprehension skills nya at she studies/does her homework, so imposibleng hindi lang nya nagets yung terms of the agreement she entered. Yun yung point nya

      Delete
    3. omg sis haha d mo gets? its to add credibility, and to think she is all those, it doesn't make sense for her not to pay. hahah

      Delete

      Delete
    5. Comprehension

      Delete
  17. Ngee, an estimate means a ballpark figure, and a ballpark figure is never expected to turn out to be just half of the final price. If your estimate is way off to the point na nagdouble na yung price, anong klase kang designer? Parang nanghuhula lang? Haha. Kalurks!

    1. Ganyan ang buhay beauty queen baks. Yung mga di masyadong kilala struggle to find sponsors.

  20. I think mali ang designer here kasi ang laki ng hiningi nya kumpara sa estimated budget. Parang minagic nalang bigla.

    ReplyDelete

  21. Under estimate ang 20k for a national costume na detailed at papasa sa ganyang big pageant. They should have placed a more accurate price and consult the client na if you use this kind of material and make it like this it will cost more. So kung ayaw nila tumaas ang price stick to the lower price and so they supplier wont be blamed for. As usual contracts can be tricky, if you wont abide by it the supplier have the right to be protected. Mahal po talaga mag pageant and emotionally stressful. If clients wants changes in the contract dont sign it and if you want to have amendments or changes do it before signing it. Supplier should only give the finish product when fully paid para hindi extorting money ang mangyayari after delivery unless with written agreement

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think mali ang designer. The actual price is twice ng estimate? That doesn’t seem right. Acceptable pa kung 5-10% ang variance sa estimate.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  24. Mali yung designer and todo defend pa sya! Estimate should at least be close to the actual figure a margin of 5-10% is expected. Pero 100% higher than estimate?? That’s not an estimate just send a new quote! As an experienced designer they should know this.cost estimate is a factor in decision making if you get a supplier or not. So they deliberately quoted a much much lower estimate to get the job then come singilan the actual receipt is x2? That’s fraud.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Agreed 9:01. That's fraud if you make a client believe na 20k lang then naging 40k without informing her about price updates. Siguro dapat nung lumagpas na sa 25k nagsabi na sya kay client na mahal na masyado from the original quote.

      Delete
    2. I agree. 100%

  28. pageantry is really for entertainment and not women empowerment

    ReplyDelete

Why can't they be just simple in the nomination process?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hindi naman yan ang point. Yung pera need to be accounted.

      Delete
    2. Agree if I don’t have the X factor I won’t spend a single coin and join pageants. Not having a sponsor is already a glaring sign that nobody believes in the candidate. For sure if she got what it takes, sponsors will line up to cover her expenses #harshbuttrue

      Delete
  35. Pageantry was always a dirty business. Far beyond that. Hello. Filthy business. It's not big in many countries, thank God. But massive in the Philippines.

    ReplyDelete
