it's a first. First time kong magbasa ng mahabang post that i didn't regret. SApul na sapul. this is not only for Vivian. this is for all the people na nagdidiwang sa pagkawala ng ABS. like me, wala akong paki sa may ari at mga artista ng ABS dahil mahaba ang balon ng mga yan...ung mga maliliit. ung ang totoong kawawa dito.
Ms Isabel, I have so much respect for you. I know you won't but you can sue this woman Vivian for libel na nuknukan ng pagka sipsip, walang pagpapahalaga sa kapwa. Thank you for putting her in her place. Our prayers to those who have lost their jobs and are now in need of relief.
same sentiments! i have a close friend who posted a meme sa facebook. it's a mockery for ABS. first time ko nag comment, i said if you are for the right thing, then dapat satisfied ka na because na-deny na ang franchise. pero kung nag celebrate ka pa and continue to mock ABS, iba na ang reason mo kung bakit gusto mo ma-deny ang ABS. hindi na about right or wrong.
Do not add insult to the injury. Pwedeng pwede. Wag puro bash.
Not toxic but sincerely and heartily written.
tl;dr even if i didn't finish reading it, i'm on miss rivas' side. it's a no brainer. vivian velez is a low class, second rate, trying hard, asong kanal LOL
Often I eschew reading such long posts but with this one, it put both tears and a smile on my face. Ms. Isabel writes from the heart and I was struck by her humility and candor. I remember reading on the news years ago how she proudly acquired her high school diploma and is a self-made, single mom who was able to put up her own farm. Now reading this, hew own words, Vivian and other showbiz netizens should really take a page from her. As the saying goes, the people that you meet going up are the very same people you'll meet going down. Think first, before you sell your soul to the devil. To Ms. Isabel, so very proud of you!
Never, ever rejoice on the suffering of others. Even that of your enemies. Instead, take that golden opportunity, to commiserate and rebuild a bridge. More so if fate puts you in the position of fortune.
What she said almost at the end hit me. I had the same epiphany because of this pandemic. Those wants and dreams I had before, especially those material things, meaningless now. When I do shop, mostly its for food or other very essential items. Gone is the appetite for clothes, bags, accessories, etc. When I go out, I couldn't care less if I don't wear makeup as I wear a mask anyways and for the first time, I've allowed my hair to go gray. I don't even wear jewelries anymore and much to my surprise, I don't miss them. Each day, I'm thankful that my family and friends, people I know, are generally still okay, still alive and well. It has basically become a taking-it-one-day-at-a-time kind of living and the most that I pray for now is that we survive and come out of this nightmare soon.
From Techie Agbayani: "As Director General of FAP, her primary concern should have been the welfare of the industry workers. If she's schadenfreude -ing now with all that has happened, she is undoubtedly undeserving of her title and position." Pakisagot lang po Ms. Vivian Velez.
