    1. Grounds by the SC in dismissing the case as per newspaper reports:

      1) No legal standing by the Petitioner to file the case. In the case at bar, Atty. Falcis was the Petitioner;

      2) Violation on the Rule on the Hierarchy of Courts, which means that it should have been first filed in the lower courts before proceeding to the SC;

      3) No justiciable causes.

    4. Hays, I'm sure yung mga hindi pabor sa same sex marriege dito e yung mga pa-religious na tao na feeling nila dahil di pabor ang simbahan nila sa same sex marriage e yun na ang tama. Di naman kasi pipilitin ng batas na ikasal ang mga beks at shiboli sa mga simbahan nyo no, bibigyan proteksyon lang kasi ng batas ang partnership ng same sex na magkaroon sila KARAPATAN na parang sa mga married couples, pero di ibig sabihin nun ay pwede na sila ikasal sa simbahan. Bat ba kailangan nyo ipagkait sa kanila yun? E karamihan sa mga kinasal sa simbahan di nirerespeto ang kasal nila. Haist. Mga tao talaga, pag usapang relihiyon ang babait. Pero pag gawaing kabutihan, ewan ko na lang, no comment. Mas madali kasi magsimba kesa gumawa ng totoong kabutihan di ba?

    2. Pansin ko lang, dito sa Pilipinas hindi lahat ng LGBT eh pabor sa same sex marriage. May mga kilala akong lesbians and gays na matagal ng in a relationship parang mag asawa na na nga, pero ayaw rin nila ng dame sex marriage. Ang gusto nila respeto. Magbago sana ang mga tao sa attitudes nila at matutong mag recognize na ang relationships ay diverse rin. Yung ang pinaka importante.

    3. 1242am kung may mga gay friends si Aiai, siguro naman maintindihan siya kung ano yung stand nya. People can be friends eventhough you got different opinion and ideology, diba? Gullible lang siguro ako to think that way. Hahaha...

    9. As part of the lgbt community myself, I honestly feel like I can do without the marriage because it’s just a ceremony. Not to offend anyone. I would love to get married but if that violates certain religious beliefs, then I would understand being deprived of that privilege. However, what I’m after for is the legal rights. What happens if my partner and I decided to buy a property, or even adopt a baby? I do hope that sooner than later, there would be a reconcilation for all concerns on the matter.

      Delete
    5. @1248 kasi majority pa din ng Filipinos are conservative. Imagine mo na lang ha syempre pag married yun gay couple pwede sila mag adopt ng anak or kumuha ng surrogate to bear their child. Tapos papasok na sa school yun bata, aba, maloloka ang pta members at ang school officials na judgmental at chismosa. Baka pag ayaw pa tanggapin yun anak nila, pagpilitan pa nila. It's not true that others will not be affected kasi magugulo ang picture of morality ng mga hypocritical. Imagine mo na lang yun explanation sa mga bata na gagawin ng teacher Lol That will never happen in the Philippines. Personally, ok lang sa akin. I'm just being realistic though.

      Delete
    6. @1:04 Its not "conservative but pure ignorance. Everyone should be equal. This is why religion should always be separate from government. I dont understand why religious people think everything revolved around them and their beliefs? Why insist their belief on other people?

      Delete
    7. 1:45 pure ignorance? Alamin mo po muna ang purpose ng marriage. Marriage is not a right. It is a state's tool to regulate/control hetero relationship because it seeks to promote hetero families as the foundation of our society. The hetero family is where the next generation of citizens will be born and raised. The state and ultimately, our civilization, has a crucial stake in promoting hetero marriage to protect the family as an institution.

      Ngayon, anong pakialam ng estado sa lovelife ng mga homosexuals? Bakit nya ireregulate ang pagiibigan ng dalawang tao na iisa ang kasarian kung hindi naman sila ang bubuo ng pamilya na magiging pundasyon ng lipunan?

      Malaya ang mga homosexuals tungkol sa sex at love life na nais nila. Pero hindi nilikha ang kasal para sa kanilang lifestyle. Marriage was made for a different purpose.

      Delete
    8. Bakit nyo gusto paganahin sa Pilipinas ang uso sa ibang bansa? Doon kayo manirahan at magpakasal.

    4. 2:07 Ang kasal po ay pakikialam ng estado sa lovelife ng dalawang tao.normally hindi dapat pakialamanan ng gobyerno amg love life natin at lagyan ito ng rules kung kelan pwedeng maghiwalay, kanino ka lang pwedeng makipagtalik, sino magbibigay ng suporta, etc. Pero nakikialam ang gobyerno sa pamamagitan ng kontrata ng kasal kasi ipinopromote nya ang paglikha ng pamilya kung saan manggagaling ang sunod na henerasyon ng mamamayan. Itinuro po yan noong bata pa tayo sa school. Ang pamilya ang pundasyon ng lipunan. Kaya mahalaga ang kasal-para mabuo at proteksyunan ng gobyerno ang institusyon ng pamilya.

      Ngayon mga hetero po ang lumilikha ng pamilya kaya sa lovelife lang nila nakikialam ang gobyerno. Yunh mga homosexuals po, malaya silang magkalove life. Pero ayaw makialam ng gobyerno sa lovelife nila gamit ang kontrata ng kasal. Walang stake sa gobyerno kasi di naman nila maseserve ang purpose ng pagbuo ng pamilya. Take note, ang ideal nating pamilya ay iyong may nanay at tatay.

      Delete
    5. 2:07 iha, hindi lang magproduce ng anak ang purpose ng kasal, so based sa definition mo pag may mag-asawa na walang anak eh hindi na nila na-iseserve ang purpose nila at hindi na sila pwedeng tawagin na family dahil wala silang ambag sa susunod na henerasyon.

      Ang kasal ay isang physical, emotional, legal, at spiritual (if sa simbahan) union between dalawang tao. Rgardless kung magpundar sila ng anak or wala, pamilya na sila.

      Masyadong mababaw ang pangintindi mo sa purpose ng goverment natin, hindi sila nageexist para para lang protectsyonan yang definition mo ng pamilya na natutunan mo sa school mo. May government tayo para mag-Govern, magregulate, magkaron ng order at higit sa lahat iensure na ang karapatan ng bawat isang mamayanan ng state ay napproteksyonan. Wag mong ihalo ang turo satin sa religion sa batas. Kung mamatay ka pag kinasal ang mga bakla dun ka at ang gobyerno umalma pero kung walang epekto sayo, anong dahilan ng gobyerno at mo para sabihin na natatapakan nila ang karapatan mo?

      Catholic ako and I firmly believe na hindi sila dapat ikasal sa Simbahan pero I'm fully supporting them having an equal rights as I'm na makapili sila ng taong gusto nilang makasama sa habang buhay sa mata ng batas regardless kung anong gender.

    6. Hindi ko rin gets. Kung ayaw mo, tapos makakarinig ka na may kinasal na same sex Ano mangyayari sayo? Wala. Maiirita ka lang ganun? Kaya ayaw mo? That’s why you’re against two people of the same sex marrying each other? Meanwhile, instead of just mild annoyance, these two people who want to marry are denied rights and laws that are only applicable through marriage, not to mention their right to celebrate their love for each other.

Your religion and beliefs have nothing to do with this as this goes to the basic right of every citizen whatever their religion. There is such a thing as separation of church and state that nobody seems to be able to grasp. What your religion is saying doesn’t matter. Actually, a law leaning towards your belief is even more unconstitutional as this is favouring one religion over another.

Oo siguro mali sa biblical na pananaw natin, pero the bible taught us to be kind and forgiving to our neighbors as long as legal naman ang ginagawa nila. Kaya nga may separation of church and state. Religion is an intimate practice, a guide to morality, at ang batas ng state ay tinayo to keep everyone in check, and safe and within moral jurisdictions. Siguro as a Catholic tutol ka at deserve mo tumutol, pero as a Filipino citizen magisip ka din what the law even stands for, di lamg para sayo pero para sa neighbor mo. Everybody has the right to declare opinions, and the right to discuss, and we should all respect everybody's rights and opinions.

  41. Well, carry lang.

Marriage is a right that should be available to all and not just straight people. Equal rights lang naman hanap ng LGBT. Mahirap ba yon ibigay sa kanila?

    2. Just because they don’t want it doesn’t give them the right to deny it to those who have the right to have it. Gets mo.
