  1. Hayy Saab. Very vocal with her opinions. With this one, I disagree with her. I agree with the person who said “so what do you propose for people who believe in their religion to abandon it because the world is changing?” If you’ve been studying the Bible for a long time, you would know the answer regarding same sex marriage. I am a very open minded person and I respect people even if we don’t share the same beliefs but that doesn’t mean I tolerate that belief. I just prefer to be quiet and keep my own opinion to myself since we are all different.

    1. Same thoughts Quest! I totally agree with Quest. See Saab this is the problem of people like you thinking that we think backwards just because we’re different. We respect your beliefs just as we hope you respect ours. You don’t need to condemn or ridicule us just because we have our own beliefs. RESPETO NAMAN WHEN PEOPLE OF OPPOSITE VIEWS GIVE THEIR PIECE JUST AS WE RESPECT YOURS.

    2. Stop using the bible for your intolerance and hatred. I am pretty sure there are many rulea you do not follow in the old testament. You are just nitpicking the LGBT bit to excuse your homophobia.

    3. Hate the sin, not the sinner. Ang lagay e, yung bible na nag-stand the test of time pa ang maga-adjust sa pag-evolve ng kaisipan ng tao? Nadisappoint ako Saab. Studying the bible does not mean being blinded by it, it means means having a deeper relationship with God. Sabi nga: Romans 12:2 NIV
[2] Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is---his good, pleasing and perfect will.

    4. 1:18 old testament talaga ang ginamit mo eh pang ibang decade yung gagamit non. New testament na ang ginamit.

    5. Romans is in New Testament po

    6. Then why just chunk that book out all together, 2:12 AM? Nakakatawa yung it stood the test of time. LOTR stood the test of time too. A much better read than the that shit.

    7. 2:12 lol really? pretty sure you dont even read the bible that much

    8. I’m with Quest as well. Although I believe that SSM should be legalized to cater the legal needs of our bro and sis from LGBT, I don’t like how Saab is trying to complicate everything. Naiintindihan ko si quest and I respect his opinions na entitled sya to have. Saab, hindi dahil magkaiba kau ng opinion you have the right to ‘scrutinuze’ evrything and anything na opposing sa opinion mo. You’re a classic example of pa woke citizen na ang hilig ay isubo sa iba ang paniniwala nila!

    9. Anon 2:12 Old Testament is the unfolding of the New Testament kumbaga foundation. You cannot do without the other.

    10. 1:18 just to be clear, I am not homophobic. I have friends, relatives and even a bestfriend who is gay. I have my own beliefs but see? I keep it to myself and I still respect those people in my life. I benefit with my Bible studies and I don’t force those people to do what I do for them to have my same beliefs. I guess you are the closw minded one for pushing people who believe in the Bible to try and change our beliefs.

      Delete
    11. 3:14 having gay people in your life does not excuse you for your homophobic and OUTDATED beliefs. If you really respect them, you wouldn't even dare agree with anything that would prevent them from having equal rights.

It’s like for vegan people, if they you don’t believe on eating anything animals or produce by animals ibig sabihin kailangan magaway na kayo. Hindi ba pwede personal preference and choice?

      Delete
    13. If we are really Christians as most of profess in this country, we know that there's no compromise when it comes to this.A marriage is for a man and a woman based on the Bible.Period

    14. MAN, LET'S BE HONEST HERE - IF YOU FOLLOW EVERY SINGLE THING THE BIBLE TELLS YOU TO DO, YOU MUST BE "PERFECT." BUT YOU AREN'T SO STFU.

  2. Saab, just accept the fact that not everyone agrees to same-sex marriage. Let's agree to disagree and respect each other's opinion. Don't be self righteous and insist that your way of thinking is THE way of thinking.

    1. Sinagot lang ni quest yung tanong as if pumatay na sya

      Delete
    2. “respect each other’s opinion” but that doesn’t mean it isn’t accountable for scrutiny especially if that opinion is a prejudiced and backward opinion. lol why are even arguing of whether or not we should allow same sex marriage when should be a fundamental right of everyone (excluding religious context). It’s like saying “ i respect and love gay people, in fact, i have gay friends and i have nothing against them but i dont think they should have the same rights such as mine”

      Delete
    3. 1:04 so nirerespect mo opinion ng iba by callinh them backward?

      Delete
    4. Unfortunately these types of prejudice are translated into laws and are intolerant to other people's choices. So where is the tolerance in that? If you're disallowing people to get married? Where's the respect?

      Delete
    5. 1:52 respect?

      Delete
    6. 210am. You're not getting the point. Also it's not about beliefs. It's in the legal context of marriage sila humihingi ng pantay na pagtingin.

  8. The woke doesn't entitle anyone to as Quest said, shove it in other people's faces. Yes, educate but that doesn't mean you can force your idealism on others since they themselves have beliefs they hold firmly on. Respect begets respect. It's good to fight for your ideals & aspire for progress in the society but you can't do that when you force people to see how you see things. Again, educate in a way not to offend others or put down their own beliefs.

  9. Grabe tong si Saab.

    4. Brunei already issued a statement saying they’re just carrying out what’s according to their religious beliefs as a mostly Muslim country. Bakit ba sila pinapakialaman ng iba? Tayo ba pinapakialaman kase wala tayong divorce? That’s their religious belief. That’s their law.

    11. while the rest of the world are condemning on Brunei issue about stoning same sex marriages, cold stone hard fact is that it's their effin country and their rules. Brunei is just chilling and DGAF you can't do anything brah it's either get out or get stoned.

It takes time. Di agad agad ang adjustment just because the world id changing. Respect lang ang importante. Your cup of tea, my cup of tea. You don't have to shove it.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, we have to shove it down people's throats if it hurts other people. Tignan mo nangyari nung Nazi era. Ganyan din siguro inisip ng mga tao sa Germany, we have to respect Hitler and his followers' belief that all Jews must be exterminated. Gets mo?

      Delete
    2. well i think LGBT rights ang gustong ipoint ni SAAB is legality of same sex relationship rights.

      Delete
  13. Ang sinasabi lang naman ni sab, kailangan nang gay couple ang makasal to make their union legal and get the legal benefits from that union.pwede naman civil wedding lang and not church wedding as to not offend the church..

  14. Marriage is a legal right. Religion has nothing to do with it. Saab is correct. A netizen asked Quest about his opinion on same sex MARRIAGE and Quest replied from
a religious POV, which shouldn’t have been the case.

    1. That’s his point of view. Quest is active in Church pero he answered in love.

      Delete
    3. Pero religion is also intertwined sa marriage so tama si quest.

      Delete
    4. Marriage is also a sacrament, a vow before God. So walang masama kung ang opinyon ng isang tao ay based sa religious belief since it is his moral compass, unlike secular morality that is constantly changing.

      Delete
    5. Wala pang Catholic church meron ng kasal. Entitled religious people 🙄

  15. I agree dun sa sagot ni quest. If I love someone na gay or lesbian na gusto pakasal, I would respect it but I don't agree sa same sex marriage. Pero dahil yun ang decision ng kakilala ko or someone close to me, I will not bash them, alangan nman awayin ko sila or iadvise not to do it. I would still stick with my beliefs kasi akin lang yun but if they want then bahala sila kasi buhay nman nila yun.

Just because it’s different than yours doesn not mean mali na. Sobrang entitled nyo naman to shove your beliefs sa ibang tao. Respeto girl, yun lang naman.

      Delete
    4. @2:26, anong magulo sa respeto? She’s not saying ayaw nya makasal, she’s saying she respects them if that’s what they want to do, go lang. Ganun lang ka simple, maraming paniniwala ang magkakaiba pero we tolerate each other by respect. Respect my beliefs, I respect yours. Ganun, simple. Bakit kailangan complicated?

      Delete
    5. 1:56, parang ganito lang yan. Ako, ayoko sa alak, I super hate it pero marami akong friends and relatives who drink. BUT I dont bash them. Di ko sila pinagsasalitaan ng masama. Di lang ako nakaki join sa inuman. Again sobrang against ako sa pag inom.

      Delete
    6. 1:56, you respect the persons involved. Kung kinasal sila kahit ayaw mo, no choice ka but to respect the couple & their decision.
      Mahirap ba intindihin yun?

      Delete
    7. Anong magulo dun? 1:56am ito lang yan, if you were to ask me if I agree with same sex marriage, my answer is no because that is my belief. That is what I learned from the bible. But if one of my gay friends decide to marry, I will respect his decision. UNLESS he asks for my opinion. Then he knows my stand to it. Ganun lang ka-simple.

      Delete
    8. 1:56 yes. Karapatan nya yung at personal preference.

Bakit pinipilit nyo?

  16. I may have agreed on some of her sentiments but this kind of topic shoulld be avoided to discuss online. Expect maraming magalit at di maka intindi sa yo. Better discuss it in person para it's easy to clarify.

But online? Don't expect people to side on you, in fact, you'll gain a lot of haters. Know also that you're not an expert on everything. Before you consider how you feel about this 'thing', hope you also consider the feelings of others.

Think a million times before posting on social media. And don't come crying if you thought you are bullied because of your opinion. Just sayin'!

  22. Wag naman natin i-misuse ang salitang respect. But we cannot always rest on the lazy rhetoric that all beliefs are valid and similarly important because some beliefs are oppressive by nature, and some are even founded on deceit. Nazism was founded on a belief, and yet we don’t just walk past it and go “okay, i respect that”. Also, stop calling your gay friends as FRIENDS when you can’t RESPECT same sex marriage. It’s like saying ‘I don’t agree that you can have what I have’. Same sex marriage is not a pie, it’s a right.

    1. I’m afraid to be your friend if you think I can’t have the same right you enjoy just because I’m gay. If it gets legalized, I’m still gonna think that my FRIEND does not agree with it. If it is your personal belief that an entire class of people should be denied the same rights you enjoy, then frankly, your beliefs are evil.

  27. If its just about legalization, why not. Parang legal partners ganun. Basta dont call it marriage kasi holy sacrament yun. Pwede naman siguro na maging legal partners na batas where gay couples can get the same rights as heterosexuals. Minus the rituals of marriage. More on pirmahan ng papel lang for legalization purposes.

    3. Same sex marriage pertains to the legal binding of two persons. Why do you automatically connect it to a religious sacrament?

      Delete
  28. Instead of calling it Marriage or Matrimony which is sacred to religion, why not call it Legal Union? Since what they are after are the benefits binding the union and not actually one that is recognized by one's religion. The thing is, Religion will always hold steadfast to their teachings and beliefs, so it's better to devise a way not to include them in the picture, so a civil or legal union is more appropriate and only those who are active and have knowledge and experience (not sexually, more on understanding) with same sex relationships can administer the union. I agree that partners & their offsprings should be protected by the laws & also enjoy the benefits attached with it. But let us not force others to change their views just because we want them to empathize with our beliefs & what we stand for.

    1. the concept of marriage did not originate from any one religion, it was a civil construct.

    2. Correct! You can get married right in the court where you get your license without a need for a religious ceremony. If you get married in court, you are technically, having a "marriage ceremony". ... You are married.

    2. Mali ka ata ng intindi. Ang sabi ni Quest, he does not agree sa same sex marriage but hindi din naman niya pinipigilan kung sakaling they decide to marry. That where respect comes in.

Very out of context sa point ni Quest. Iba ang PINAGBABAWALAN sa NANINIWALA SYA NA HINDI DAPAT KUMAKAIN NG MEAT SI MEATLOVERS. Gets?

  30. I love Jesus. I read my bible. I love His Word!

The bible is VERY CLEAR about this — marriage is para sa babae & lalake lang.

Everything changes but GOD’s WORD is constant! Hindi magbabago ang biblical truth just coz nag babago tayo or nagiging “modern” na tayo or whatever.

So I disagree sa same sex marriage! But as a christian, I am called to love my neighbors. That’s why I don’t judge or hate anyone whose beliefs contradict mine. I have gay friends (and some of them are married to their gay partners) and I love them still! Because I see them for who they really are and di Lang sa kung Ano ang gender nila.

Hate the sin, not the sinner.

Nakaka disappoint ang sagot ni Saab. Tsk tsk! Girl, you REALLY NEED TO READ YOUR BIBLE!

  34. Relax saab. It’s not like quest is going to stage a protest should the government legalize same sex marriage.

  35. Marriage can be done in two different ways. We read the Constitution and not the Bible in terms of what is legal, not because it is holy or righteous. What they are asking is the benefits from the law.

  42. “We can agree to disagree on same sex marriage”

    No, we really can’t.

Because disagreeing with the validity of someone’s identity—and the rights and services they deserve or don’t deserve because of it—is discrimination, not disagreement.
