  1. I have been contemplating on going back to HK, alone this time, to overcome my fear of traveling alone. Pero what holds me back is the thought na mag isa lang ako dun sa gitna ng mga rude na tao... tsk tsk

    1. Sa iba ka nalang siz. Hindi homey or even safe to travel sa HK lalo na you’re alone. Japan ka nalang. Kahit mawala ka dun di ka mapapano.

    2. ok magpunta sa Japan and South Korea

    3. Don’t let the thought of encountering rude people hold you back, 12:37. There are rude people everywhere. Most important thing is you enjoy and you overcome the fear of solo travel. I travel by myself most of the time and it’s such a liberating and learning experience! Good luck! Have fun! :)

    4. TRY MO SA AMSTERDAM. SUPER SAFE.

    5. HK is not meant for first time traveller, try to go to Singapore for english is widely use, easy to go around using public transportation and most importantly safe

      Delete

    8. Japan na lang, specifically osaka. I travelled solo in japan before. Osakans are friendlier than the people in tokyo.

    10. @1:35, AMS seriously?? Hahaha

      Delete
    11. Klook pa more! What can you expect with an online booking? Same experience with klook here, their standard of tour is so low.

One time na-stuck ako s mrt at hnd makalabas kc hnd gumagana ung t-money ko for some reason. May tumulong sakin, nakita nya cguro n medyo nagpapanic ko. Wala rin kc guard or personnel n matatanungan.

      Delete
    18. Visited HK alone for two times already. HK is very easy to navigate. May google maps naman and tourist information center in MTR stations and tourists spots in case you get lost.

      Delete
    19. Travelled alone in Seoul a few times already. Keri lang sa budget. Basta may internet ka, you won’t worry much. Haha.

Ok din travel solo in Japan kaso very expensive eh.

    mag complain. no cheret :)

    ReplyDelete

    1. True. Minsan yung mga ganyan ang ugali na tao just needs a dose of their own medicine.

She probably just chose to take the high road.

      Delete
Kahit sabihin nya return my money, i'm not happy with your service! I'll give you a negative feedback!

      Delete
    3. Pag lumaban ka it escalates. I gave them a piece of my mind, calmly, and since their English is limited, the person said FU to me. I've been to HK 3x in my life, each time there's something.

I will wager they can only get away with this attitude with fellow Asians. Pag puti takot sila. I've seen it.

      Delete
    4. Nasa foreign land siya, she wouldn't want to cause a scene or mahassle pa lalo kung ginawa niya mga sinabi niyo.

      Delete
    5. 3:43, she's a paying customer who is not receiving the level of service expected from the provider. Giving that person a piece of her mind is NOT causing a scene. It's simply asserting your right. Kaya ginaganyan ang mga fellow Asians nila dahil masyadong tolerant - even with bad behavior.

      Delete

  6. Bothered ako sa costumer. 2x pa naman sinabi..

Not to defend the other side but baka miscommunication lang?

      Delete
    2. it's better to correct para next time maitama kesa hayaan na lang.

      Delete
    3. 12 49 have you been to other countries na people don't like to speak and understand english like italy france and some countries in europe?

Sabi nga niya, she paid for Klook's services and madami sila, hindi un libre. Just like any paying customer, she has all the right to rant and complain for such a disappointing service.

      Delete
    3. True 1:02! Lalo na kung PAYING CUSTOMER ka naman.

      Delete
    4. So Kung ganyan logic mo 12:50, never kang mag reklamo if maagrabyado ka ha. Di ka rin nman sikat eh.

      Delete
    5. Parang wala ka namang utak kung Magcomment. Kung sayo mangyari yan, hindi ka magcocomplain?🙄

  8. We had a bad experience with Klooktravel Taiwan as well. Rude din and marami kaming basta iniwan sa isang place kahit na may set meeting time naman. We were at the meeting place 30 minutes before the set time pero pagdating namin wala na yung bus.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I think taiwanese people are known for being punctual. I also availed the klook travel in taiwan just this month. We arrived at the meeting place 5 minutes before 8 and we left on time. During the entire travel, the tour guide kept reminding us of promptness with regard to the schedule for each place.

Hongkong nationals are somewhat rude while taiwanese people are very kind, respectful and helpful even though there is a language barrier.

      Delete
    2. Ay agree ako sayo 12:10. Maybe because taiwanese dont want to be associated with china on anything, including attitude

      Delete
Why not travel on your own? May freedom pa.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well for some kasi convenient yung may tour group at makaka less ka rin sa gastos.

If city tour or nearby places pwede na DIY pero pag medyo malayo better avail the tour deals.

      Delete
    2. It's supposed to be more convenient lalo na if it's your first time to visit. You waste time kung diy ka tapos first time mo, kahit gaano ka pa ka-prepared.

  10. May pagka-rude talaga mga taga-HK na Chinese. Not all of them ha, pero most of them. Siguro out of 10, nasa 1-2 lang ang ma-encounter mo na mabait. Parang laging nagmamadali, laging nakasimangot, laging pasinghal sumagot. They're not exactly the kind of people who should be working in the tourism or hospitality industry. And abroad, a part-time job for Pinoy OFWs is always a welcome blessing.

    1. Actually even singaporean chinese are quite rude as well. That’s why i never bothered going to hk.

      Delete
    2. Most Chinese. I swear ibang iba sila sa mga Filipino- Chinese.

      Delete
    3. True. Parang laging galit. Tapos ang hirap makipag usap. Barok english na nga din kami. May isang restaurant kami pinuntahan, ang intindi namin good for eight, so isa lang inorder. Dumating yun food, pang isang tao lang yung serving. Ibig nya pala sabihin, good to eat 🤣

      Delete
    4. ay..ok naman experiece namin sa HK..
mas ok pa nga kesa sa Macau e..

    5. Totoo yan. Bumibili kami ng tubig sa hk. Pumipili ako ng malamig. Nagalit.
Kahit hirap sila mag english, they will find a way to help you.

      Delete

      Delete
    7. Agree! HK and Singapore people mostlyare rude and pa high nose talaga sila. Madalang yung mabait. Totoo yan nanghahawi sila nanunulak at bastos. Malalaman mo mga walang pinag aralan talaga

      Delete
    8. Naku sinabi mo pa 1:22! Ako, I lost my patience talaga kasi pinagalitan ang anak ko. Aba sinagot ba naman ng bastos na tindera ng “don’t ask questions if you are not going to buy”. Ay sinabihan ko talaga anak ko na “we don’t buy rubbish, we throw them into the bin” sabay irap sa tindera.

  11. I went to HK with my senior citizen parents, and since I didn’t have much time to plan, I relied heavily on klook. Maayos naman ang experience namin, baka minalas lang sila that time. Melai can send this feedback directly sa klook app kasi andun yung details ng tour and I know they can track sino yung guide para mareprimand.

Advise lang din siguro - always alert and pakiramdaman ang surroundings/tao when traveling abroad. Best if you did research din beforehand para you know what to expect.

    Kbye

    ReplyDelete
  14. Personally, for me Hong Kong is one of the best countries to navigate kasi lahat ng puntahan mo may signage in english at mainam yung MTR train nila. The people naman depende sa area, some are rude, some are not. For me, safe siya. Yung sa experience ni Melai, may isang tour operator sa HK na ganyan ang galawan, known sila for their rude guides. Klook kasi is not direct tour operator but a booking platform lang so binebenta lang nila mga tour. For HK packages, always be wary of those offering Buy 2 take 1 tours, mahilig kasi tayo sa mura, pero yung iba napapamura na pag naexperience yung rude guide, compulsory shopping, etc.

  15. Go to korea you will enjoy more 👌👌👌

  16. I used klook when I went to Japan 2019 and Hk 2017 wala naman akong bad experience. Maybe bec I'm Chinese descent napagkakamalan ako na Japanese or Chinese. Saka in Hk madami naman kabayan pinoy na traveler. Magtanong ka na Lang sa kabayan

    1. Truth. Sa pinoy kami mostly nagtatanong if ever. Walang sulok sa HK na walang pinoy.

  17. you are in HK sweetie.

  18. Hk people are mostly rude especially yung belong sa blue collar job, ironically. First time i asked a guy about how to buy mtr ticket going to Disney,he scream at my face! Lesson learned, make yourself familiar with transpo and maps online. Never ask direction it would be highly possible you will encounter rude peps. Buy octopus card sa airport to avoid asking how the mtr token works. Never ask a hk guy. Pag may nakita kang ibang nationality sia ang tanungin lol.

    1. First day namin sa HK and kumain kame sa isang restaurant. Tapos ung waitress d marunong mag english. Ang bait nung guy ksi in explain nya samen ung mga food options kase ndi written in english tapos siya pa nakipag usap sa waitress in cantonese para mag order sa amin. Magaling mg english ung guy. Siguro educated siya. Well, in comparison, rude talaga ung iba.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Most of the Chinese I encountered in HK were rude.i don’t know if it’s just their way of speaking

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  22. HK nationals are mostly rude, could be because of their culture. Pero same as with other nationalities, wag natin lahat ang stereotypes. As with this klook experience, hindi kasi sila customer oriented talaga. Sa ibang klook ok naman ang service.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow based on your comments, parang part na ng culture(?) nila ang pagiging rude. Or siguro they don't consider it rude.

    ReplyDelete
  25. When HK was overtaken by CH citizens, the rudeness is the most significant change you will notice. Dumi pa ng HK after that. Over populated, at wag na wag mag AirBnB, maygahd, swear, ikagugulat nyo mga madatnan nyong hole'in-the-wall.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Rude talaga ang mga HK nationals, from the airport up to the hotel staff especially the receptionist, they're not pleasing and polite. At lalo na silang nakasimangot kapag Asian at magaling mag English. Defense mechanism nila yung pagiging rude nila kasi Hindi sila magaling mag English.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hongkies' way of speaking, generally speaking, ang "rude" ng dating. Baka sa kanila that is their normal. I regularly work with HK counterparts at lagi ako hirap makisama sa kanila. Stressed at pagod pagkatapos ng training. Reklamo agad! Hindi pa nga ko nag-uumpisa nagrereklamo na! Enebeyen! LOL.
