Agree with other comments. I kept my surname too.
Diba?
Congratulations! Galing naman, work and school ni hindi man siya halos nabakante sa work niya mula bumalik siya after mag asawa. She got better after niya magkafamily parang good vibes lagi siya..nkakainspire.
If she joins law school, she got some advantage already in memorising law articles, sections, etc. I remember reading that the Enjorlas of Les Mis 10th anniversary became a lawyer too.
Congratulations Yasmien!
Congratulations. Working student & magna cum laude. Sobrang nakaka impress.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Didn't know that she's smart pala ha. Wow!

DeleteSiya rin bet ko sa Starstruck dati.

ReplyDeleteMaburook Yasmien! You're such an inspiration.
So baka ganon ginawa nya.
DeleteIt's alright not to use your husband's surname. I kept mine mainly because I prefer not to have problems with my new surname to my official documents.
Deleteang family code kasi natin nakalagay ang phrase na MAY use the surname of her husband.
I mean nagsumikap sya bilang Kurdi na estudyante. Pride yun ng pamilya nya.
DeleteYeah..me,too..mahirap maglabas pasok sa immigration kun iba iba pangalan..so most carree women just retain their names even after marriage..
DeleteBecause Filipino women are not compelled to use their husband's family name even after marriage. "May" ang sabi sa Family Code. Hence, not compulsory.
