  7. We really have poor vet practice in the Philippines; hindi ko alam bakit, matalino naman doctors natin. Parang they don’t or unable to keep up with progress sa vet science. Rarely, if any, do I hear pets dying of UTI or birthing sa America. Condolence Pao.

    3. Even sa dogs. Sa US kaya nila itreat ang parvo. Naistabilize na nila in a week. Dito, wala... Nganga. Namamatay na lang ang mga aso sa parvo kahit pa iconfine sa clinic ng ilang linggo.

  10. Routine kasi sa kanila ang pet check up and vaccinations. And their food are more tailored, unlike in Pinas na they eat the same sa owner, or the pet food bought doesn't suit due to lack of more choices.

Minsan may antayan pa, na baka mag-ok na kusa even if the pet is obviously not well. Pagdating sa vet, too late.

    1. Dinala naman daw sa vet. For sure, di naman siya nagkulang. Nobody wanted this to happen. May mga bagay lang talaga na beyond our control.

    4. You’re assuming that these cats ate the same food as Paulo did? Anong klaseng pag iisip yan?!?! Paolo has the means to have his fur babies to have medical care, you think he would scrimp on their food?!?? 🀦🏻‍♀️

    5. 2:14 Read the thread, will you? 🀦‍♀️ The post was supposedly my reply to 1:19 am above. It wasn't meant as a separate post. Nowhere did I blame nor assume Paolo fed his pets incorrectly.

    6. Response sa thread pero nag open ng ibang thread??? O ayan yung kinoment mo na pareho kinakain ng pet sa owner. Deny pa more.

    7. 4:28 Well, it so happened that instead of replying I ended up making another thread. I believe I cleared it from an earlier response to what I posted. There's nothing to deny, since I stand with what I posted. As for my response to 1:19, I should have had elaborated more. The pet owners abroad (they're who I meant sa kanila) have the habit of being up to date with their pet check ups and other medical needs. Hence, their veterinarians there get more practice in treating and caring for pets. Unlike there in Pinas, whether you admit it or not, not every pet owners, as of now, are as responsible nor caring as compared to owners abroad. Pagala-gala nga eh, di ba? Pag nawala, lalo pag walang lahi, will the owners put as much effort to find their missing pets compared to pets with defined breeds?

So back to vets. I can say that compared to their counterpart abroad, the local vets are not as skilled, though not because of their choice, it's due to not having enough patient pets to learn from.

Regarding food for pets, it's what I have observed months ago when I visited. Some owners and pets share the same food. And I haven't seen much choices either at the hypermarket for pet food. Maybe in Manila they have more, but people in the province will buy from what is available. Neither will a lot of them consult the vet before purchasing pet food.
