Sa pagkakaintindi ko, and based na rin from what I see since I’ve been living in the US for more than a decade, her statement is actually not discriminatory against us Filipinos. Asian men are somewhat considered being at the bottom of the totem pole here kasi they are not as masculine as caucasians, blacks, etc... and she is exempting Filipino men from that Asian group. Filipinos are sort of like a chameleon here. They can look Hispanic, part black, etc. tapos naman educated black women, as she was saying, are also at the bottom of the dating totem pole. That’s why they are the group of black people who are most likely to inter-marry. Regular black guys do not normally go for them. Those type of guys would rather date and settle with the less-educated black women. So she is actually calling for those Asian men, who are generally considered un-dateable even by Asian women (they’d rather date other races, which is very common) to inter-marry with them instead. ReplyDeleteIts funny how these african americans fight racism and descrimination. If it were a white person talking about not dating blacks they would be shouting foul at the top of their lungs. But since their blacks they can just say anything against other race. Remember woman your educated population is in its lowest percentage. If you claim to be educated then act like one.

ReplyDeleteSa pagkakaintindi ko, and based na rin from what I see since I’ve been living in the US for more than a decade, her statement is actually not discriminatory against us Filipinos. Asian men are somewhat considered being at the bottom of the totem pole here kasi they are not as masculine as caucasians, blacks, etc... and she is exempting Filipino men from that Asian group. Filipinos are sort of like a chameleon here. They can look Hispanic, part black, etc. tapos naman educated black women, as she was saying, are also at the bottom of the dating totem pole. That’s why they are the group of black people who are most likely to inter-marry. Regular black guys do not normally go for them. Those type of guys would rather date and settle with the less-educated black women. So she is actually calling for those Asian men, who are generally considered un-dateable even by Asian women (they’d rather date other races, which is very common) to inter-marry with them instead. So misunderstanding lang from what she really meant. Heard this being discussed on The Breakfast Club, which is a podcast being hosted by 2 black guys and 1 chinese-black woman
