Sudden Change

When a project hits the hearts of consumers, expect positive responses from social media posts and measurable sales. Finding the right combination of personalities to promote products can be risky and pricey. However, one thing could speak clearly and smooth out any hesitations on the part of the chosen endorsers, and that is, the right price.

Sometime ago, emotions were high when an impossible feat was pulled by a company. Within a few seconds, social media sites were flooded with positive comments and praises for the project. Given the posts, the project did translate into sales, and Talent 1 (T1) and Talent 2 (T2) rejuvenated the hearts of their followers. Such coming together led to hope that T1 and T2 will be seen more often.

Then, one morning, followers were surprised that T1 deleted posts about T2. Speculations and conspiracy theories tried to explain the action of T1, who did not answer anything directly when asked about it. For social media users, deleting is merely part of the cycle that users go through, and thus, T1’s actions were negligible.

Nonetheless, rumors have it that the deletions of her posts had something to do with T2. Allegedly, T1 found out something that made her upset and she could not believe that someone got the better of her.

When the project was offered to T1, she like the idea, as the payment was good, the work was for a very short time, the company was one of her supporters, and her presence would be guaranteed all over media. Her fans would not have to badger her to become more visible, as the project would assure her exposure. So, she agreed. Meanwhile, T2 also liked the idea, but there was a catch. His days of playing second to T1 when it comes to fees were over, and he demanded for a higher fee if the company really wanted the project to push through. As money is not something the company can have trouble with, T2’s higher fee was approved. Secrets cannot be kept that long, and T1 found out that her payment was lower than T2’s. Feeling that she was unfairly treated, T1 showed her displeasure and removed most posts related to T2 and that project.

Recently, the company went on a nationwide campaign that involved all of the endorsers, except one was not around. Photos of the company endorsers were in their social media accounts, and T1 was missing. T1 and T2 were supposed to be together in that activity, but only T2 was around.

    1. Nevertheless, S can be liable for breach of contract for not showing up in any activities of the company that she endorses. Kaloka talaga si S.

  3. Oh, so that's the reason why. I get it that when you hammer the contracts you include the asking price for the project to go through. I am all for equal or at par payments to talents, depending on their roles or how much exposure they had. In the end, however, it will be on how much the project agreed to pay the talent in the contract. Between these two, is the disparity that big for T1 to have socmed tantrums?

    1. I'm curious too

    2. It probably is. Pero kung hindi tinaasan ang fees ni T2, the project wouldn't have been such a success. He is the other half nung project.

    3. Wise si T2! But i guess, T1’s nega image has something to do when her talent fee devaluates.

    1. I agree. Equal dapat.

      Delete
    2. Not necessarily... as endorsers, they can ask and its up to the company if they agree and push thru or get other instead.the fact contract was signed, one's fee whether smaller than the other is already irrelevant as they all signed contract.

    3. Equal? T2 knew how to negotiate his pay, hindi nya kasalanan if it was approved. And it's not fair na equal pay.

    4. No. It should bebased on their bankability NOW. And whether S likes it of not, G is more bankabale than her NOW.

    5. I agree, equal pay dapat. Tsk, tsk

      Delete
    6. 3:34 Ang slow mo naman. Sari sariling silang negotiation with the company. Walang inisahan.

  5. Dapat pag ganyan regardless kung sino ang mas sikat or mas mayaman EQUAL PAY dapat. Kasi they are being launch as one

  6. Sa Hollywood nga common practice na mas mataas rate ng artistang lalaki kaysa babae kahit mas sikat or lead role pa yung babae.

    1. Di na ngayon teh. Update mo self mo.

    2. Whatevs!

      Delete
    3. Not in this case. T1 has always been the big star. Pero ngayon si T2 ang nasa limelight and kailangan naman talaga cya for this project to work so he has a right to demand higher pay for it to push through. Business yan, after all.

      Delete
    4. 12:24 So dahil common practice ibig sabihin tama?

      Delete
    5. But this is not hollywood dear. At mas mataas nga daw tf ni girl before.

  7. Naku naman Ateng wag na mag inarte. Si T2 kasi desirable pa rin eh ikaw???

    ReplyDelete
  9. Sa team nya sya dapat magalit at di kay T2.

    ReplyDelete
  10. So that's the story! Kaya pala nag delete si S.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think parang mali na magalit si S kay G. Im sure there were times na mas mataas ang fee ni S kay G. Nasa negotiation lang naman yun. As long as happy ka sa offer, wag mo na sana masamain ang fee ni G. Kanya kanyang blessing from above

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Tumpak!

      Delete
    2. Tama ka. Dapat hiwalay ang personal sa professional.

      Delete
    3. Inumpisahan kasi ni G yung comparison. Dati umaayaw siya kasi less than kay S and TF. Feeling lang ni S na inisahan siya.

      Delete

    ReplyDelete
  13. dapat equal pay. same nmn cla nag effort.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies

      Delete
    2. Natawa ako sa endorse pa more. Hahaha.

  15. easy!!! kahit di mag review hahaha T1- SC T2-G kbye! lol

Greediness valdez!

  17. First public appearance nila sana yon. Sayang naman!

    2. Both. Haha. Kaya magaling talaga ang kumpanya dahil nakuha silang dalawa

  20. I guess the point (on T1’s part) is that more than the money, she probably felt insulted that T2 was only in it for the money, and big money at that. Kumbaga, napilitan lang sya and if not for the company to grant his demand for a much higher tf, there’s no way he would have agreed to be in the same project with her. Nakakainsulto din naman kasi yun tbh.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I dont think so. T2 knows that the project is a make it or break it project.

Nagagamit pa rin nya to his advantage si S up to now, sad truth. Di talaga nagbago hunyango pa rin!

      Delete
    3. Paano naman napasok yung napilitan? Fact is they were both offered the project, both of thrm negotiated with the company and T2's team was able to negotiate the better deal. End of story.

      Delete
  21. Sayang! Makasaysayang appearance pa naman yon sana! What a coup it would've been!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

    1. Tama! Kanya kanyang negotiation yan.

  23. S at G, dapat nmn kasi tlga same ang TF, but since mas visible si G sa TV, so may K syang humingi ng additional.

    ReplyDelete
  24. My gosh S!!! I would understand her point if her talent fee was cut short to accommote G, eh hindi naman eh. Daming problema ng sobrang yaman!

  25. Pampam nakakainis!

    ReplyDelete

  27. When she was the one who was getting higher pay inisip ba niya yung LT niya?

    ReplyDelete
  28. In fairness naman kay T2-G may current project sya that time. Mas visible kumbaga mas sikat. And for the longest time pala mas malaki tf ni T1-S to think na loveteam sila.

Ngayon nanghihinayang kayo at may tampo effect pa.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh my, masyado namang pa–importante si S. I am sure she was paid handsomely. Wag magalit kay G if he was able to negotiate and command a higher pay. Aminin, si S ang atat magka-project kasama si G, who is currently doing well as a leading man.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Money and TF changes everything. Tsk tsk

    ReplyDelete
  32. Di matanggap ni S that she is not as relevant anymore. Kawawa naman si S, she has a beautiful family and a wealthy life, pero di pa rin siya at ease. Goes to show money can’t buy happiness.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  35. Eh fault ni S yan, you should have asked for a higher TF, dapat inalam mo TF ni G

    ReplyDelete
  36. Contract has its own clause. Maybe attending public appearance is not part of it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Equal pay dapat period.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Mas bankable at visible naman nowadays si T2 more than T1.

Kailangan ba talaga ipamukha na may self entitlement talaga above anything and everyone else? Seriously??

    ReplyDelete
  41. baka kase T1 let her heart and sentimentality rule during negotiations. si T2 learned his lesson at pinandigan na kailangan higher fee na siya. kaya dapat, T1 should have a better negotiator.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. E kasalanan niya yan kung ganon. Sha yung halatang atat na atat.

    2. I didn't expect T1 would go that low.. so many things had happened. Nawala sya, bumalik, tinanggap.. things are no longer the same.

      Delete
  42. T2 ‘s professional behaviour should be rewarded. He is easy to deal with and T1 really needs him to make that huge comeback. T1 is such an entitled Diva. It is about time she wakes up and realizes she is not as famous as she used to be. Let her honor her commitments and behave herself. KSP brat

  43. In the real world, there is no such thing as equal pay. It all depends on how one negotiates at the negotiation/bargaining table.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Kahit gaano kayaman, nagiging issue pa rin pala ang pera... oh well!
