Not a Case of Oversight

Regardless of the status of a celebrity in the showbiz industry, his/her career still rests on the power of producers, managers, and executives of his/her network affiliation. The reality is that people who control the investment can dictate who gets to be built up and promoted as a network talent. Hence, when a break is given, a newbie ought to take advantage of the opportunity. For every talent that a network attempts to forward, more than a dozen are waiting in the wings.

While seasoned celebrities think they are exempted from such decisions, they are wrong. Although seasoned celebrities may be more famous and may even have loyalty to their network, the decision of the management dictates if they will have a project or not. Even if fans clamor for a project for a particular older celebrity, the management still looks at other factors, such as bankability and overall public perception. Moreover, social media posts sometimes serve as a determining factor.

When invitations were issued to an event some time ago, organizers allegedly had a strict guest list and deliberately did not invite certain celebrities even if they had been affiliated with them. Thus, waiting for the invitation was futile, but certain people still expected to be invited. When the organizers realized that a backlash was happening because they allegedly missed out inviting certain personalities, they had to act fast. On the last minute, they sent out the invitation, which for those in the list had received theirs months before, to silence the growing negativity toward their event. Then, rumors spread that someone in the staff made an oversight that led to controversial invitation, which remains doubtful.

During an informal talk, Powerful Personality (PP) and Influential Executive (IE) of the network were disappointed at the childish reactions of those who were not given invitations. The organizers apparently wanted an exclusive guest list limited to talents who started with them, which most people did not know. Nonetheless, PP and IE started having second thoughts on the next project they will be the non-invitees who overreacted.

‘It does not matter how long you are spending on the earth, how much money you have gathered or how much attention you have received. It is the amount of positive vibration you have radiated in life that matters. ‘― Amit Ray

  6. S, who was originally a ka-h. Now we know why she was not invited. Her rants were really uncalled for. If only she knew...

  7. Not an oversight. They don't need those uninvited personalities anymore coz hindi na ganun kasikat. Hindi na nila mapakinabangan at pagkakakitaan. Sad, pero yan reality.

  8. Haha excuses. Damage control pa din to. They so know that those who acted "immaturely" were going to act as such. I'm sure there were those who couldn't wait to gloat when the immature acts started to unravel because of the intentional snub. Napakinabangan na ng network and now that these once bright stars have dimmed, management couldn't wait to show them who is boss - something they couldn't do at the height of these immature stars' popularity :)

They should have stood their ground. As for S, alam na kung di na siya mabigyan ng projects. Naku panay posts na naman yan for sure.

    3. It's business, dear. At the end of the day, it's about money. The fact is, the younger stars have rabid fans that will buy anything they put out there. Mga fans ni s will claim they're fans pero they don't show support naman sa projects nya. Cant blame the management.

    6. They are paid for their services naman.

    7. Hindi naman itsapwera. More like, priority sa event na yun yung talagang homegrown talent and their plus ones.

  14. Between organizers who want only the milking cows in their event and a person who rants about not being invited, I'd still go for the former.

  15. Its nice to be important but it's important to be nice.Note to S.No one is indespensible.Even top executives/performer get booted out .Please enough with that noong una pinapanginabangan nila si S.She benefited from them too.

  16. Kahit san business ganyan, pag wala nang pakinabang sayo, echepwera kna, ganun tlga un

  17. Matapos mapakinabangan, ganyan sila. Sa mga artista ng ka-f now, lalo na sa mga nagdadala ng income pero hindi homegrown, you know the drill.

    1. Ang nga artista dapat alam nila na it's show business..they're merchandise for sale to the viewing public so, if you're not in demand anymore, the proprietor will go bankrupt so, they have to display a new product to entice the buyers..ganon lang yan ka simple so, fallen stars should not feel bad about it. Accept it w/ grace.

Getsang

      Delete
    3. As if naman hindi sya nagbenefit sa network. Pareho lang sila naggagamitan.

    4. Its a dog eat dog world. Kahit saang industry ka pumunta. Kaya nga may kasabihan sa showbusiness that "you're only as good as your last show". Or in other fields, you're only as good as your last success. That is life so get on with it.

    5. Gamitan is ok but power tripping and character assassination? That is unfair to the artists.
