    7. GUYS, THEY ARE ALL EDUCATED IN THE STATES KAYA SUPER WESTERNIZED ANG THINKING NILA - WHICH IS GOOD, BY THE WAY.

    1. Di ka ba makaintindi? Magkakaiba nga ng opinion from different generations about sa depression! Kaya nga EDUCATE THEM..

      Delete
    2. 1.07 having a different opinion does not mean you can also be insensitive towards the other person. live pa sa tv. wag na gawing dahilan yang different generation kuno, Joey is really tactless. pero pag sya naman, super pikon.

      Delete
    3. 1:45 factors din po ang generation kahit saan anggulo mo tignan, wala naman kase nagdidiagnose date, depression is just a phase in the old days. I think din kase it depends on the person, how strong willed you are to fight. I am impressed on how Sir Joey admitted his actions, and how humble he was when in fact he has been in the showbizness longer than Maine nor Alden. Yun ang kailangan ng tao eh, humbleness. Minsan ang hirap aminin ang pagkakamali, and sabi nga nya He hopes we all learned for this mistakes. #spreadalwareness #goodvibes

    4. Agree ako 1:45

    5. Ah u mean Walang Sisa sa old days Dahil phase Lang?older generations know what that is.Ano ba age ni joey?1946 yata pinanganak yan.Depression is already studied way before that.Wag kayo palusot sa behavior nya.Bastos naman talaga yan lagi.

      Delete

      I agree with 6:43

    7. 11:04 matapang si JDL at Di sya concerned sa popular opinion if he thinks na tama sya. The fact that he apologized means that he acknowledges he was wrong.

      Delete
    8. 6:43 i beg to disagree. Kahit ako same kami ng interpretasyon ni jdl about depression. Hindi ako psych major at ive been busy working and stidying my field before now that this has been discussed and with this incident i understand it more. Kaibahan i was not on live tv and jdl and i have the same realizations. Kanino pa ba ako pwede humingi ng tawad? Sayo ba?

    2. Yes , his wife , obviously.

      Delete
    3. yeah his wife because joey is busy working to give good education ang good life to his family.but his kids with eileen are all achievers, all graduated in IVY LEAGUE schools in US, i think Jocas is cum laude in fordham university if i'm not mistaken & they got jobs too,not just relying on joey, I don't agree on joey on depression's joke.

      Delete
    4. Fordham is not ivy league

      Delete
    5. 20:7 discrediting Joey as a dad just because you don't agree on his obsolete opinion, and you don't even live with them? Who's insensitive again? I don't think it's Joey. Look in the mirror and go figure.

      Delete
    6. 6:26 haters here were raised better by their parents! Hahhaha

  6. Been seeing jocas and jako on ig and yt and looks like he raised his kids well. Both classy and seem hardworking. Props to sir joey for that. They're surely proud of their last name. (Wala po akong pinatatamaan 😂)

  7. educate? iho it's not like your dad is really clueless about this topic. the way sya magsalita the other day, i dont think he is willing to get educated about depression. kung hindi nabash, hindi rin yan magsosorry. pero syempre anak kayo kaya support na lang. okaayy

    2. I agree with 1:05am. Kung hindi nabash yan I dont think magsosorry yan.

      Delete
    3. Anon 1:05 grabe ang poot sa puso mo

      Delete
    4. Isnt that the cycle? Kaya nga nag apologize kasi madaming nasaktan.

      Delete
Solution ang kailangan hindi hatred!

    6. 5:03 your assumption is just a probability that has no basis therefore can't be a conclusion. Try to look straight and see what's in front of you, stop assuming things.

  8. it only shows how good Joey is to his children. In spite of him being so taklesa he raised well cultured children. I don't know about you but I adore him for that. Not everyone is perfect. we also have flaws but at the end of the day what matter is what your loved ones will say. ktnxbye

    1. He is good to his kids but thanks to his well bred wife.

    2. Ganun din sasabihin ko, 1:47. He has a really good wife. Siya pa nga ang nanermon sa kanya when he arrived home.

      Delete
    3. His wife raised the kids well.Did you hear his crass jokes?no class at all.

      Delete
    4. We do not know what goes on in their private lives as a family so let's not assume one parent is better than the other.

      Delete
    5. These people are discrediting the father just because they hate him. If Joey is not a good father, husband and as a person, magtatagal ba ang asawa niya sa kanya? Mag-isip nga kayo. Mga utak nyo natutunaw na.

  9. That moment when his own children have to educate the parent on how to behave properly. #cringe

    1. Why cringe? Perfect ba parents mo? Obviously not because they raised someone as judgy as you.

      Delete

Walang taong perpekto.

      Delete
    4. I myself am a parent with teenage kids. And there times the roles can be reversed, meaning, tinuturuan din nila ako. I welcome that kind of interaction as I acknowledge that I don't know everything.

      Delete
    5. 1:15 I bet your parents are perfect

      Delete
Hats off to Joey, he listens to his kids well.

      Ikaw ang cringe worthy dito.

You are expecting respect but your dad is arrogant, ignorant and insensitive. Buti nga people reacted that way kasi if not baka he will not realize it.

    2. People who suffer from depression need understanding and the same applies to those who do not comprehend this clinical condition.

    3. Di pa rin makamoveo on? Depressed ka ba? Talk to a psychologist, huwag mong idaan sa socmed at pambabash.

  11. Being a public figure, Joey should be aware that words coming from his mouth will make him accountable to it.

    1. Ngayon, in the age of social media, aware na siya ngayon. And its nice that he has kids to remind him of that.

  12. He raised such good children. I follow Jako and his team on yt and wala akong masabi. Very humble.

Nung nag sabi ako na nadedepress ako sabi niya umaarte lang daw ako nag dradrama lang. pero i explained it to her lahat lahat. Ayun nabago ung pananaw niya.

    ReplyDelete

Just remember he's from a different generation, iba talaga ang tingin nila sa depression. At least nag sorry yung tao, sincere or not remains to be seen diba? At least his kids admitted na dapat ieducate ang tatay nila but I also agree with them na may paraan naman to educate someone in a respectful way and hindi yung agad agad hatred (gaya ni Mariel De Leon). I think doing that only puts the other person on the defensive. You get more flies with honey.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I like the way Jocas put her thoughts into words. You'll know that she's really educated on the way she writes. Cum laude or magna sya sa sikat na school sa US diba?

  16. Sa tingin ko, kaya di nag iimprove ung perception ng tao sa importance ng mental health sa bansa is because of us as well. Konting heartbreak, konting incident or injury, instead of saying na we're sad, disappointed, etc, we are quick to say that we're depressed which is very different from just being sad. Just my two cents.

    1. I agree with you. One of my son told me that he’s dealing with depression. Then i said, it’s all in your mind..maybe you’re just lonely, don’t babying it! If you keep it that way you’ll be like that all your life..and it’s a choice, everything you do is a choice..so be happy instead. And he said, no mom i’m really depress.

But idk, maybe we have different opinion about depression. Kasi ako, i’m ok..kung may problema, bakit palalakihin..kung malungkot, be happy and there’s a lot of ways to be happy. Idk, i guess i’m with joey’s side 😊

    2. I agree! Most oftentimes, it boils down to ones personality.

  17. Maybe now is the time to put this discussion to rest & the dialogue on mental health issues to begin.

  18. kudos to joey.. kaya niya magpakumbaba at mag sorry pag nagkamali.. di tulad ng mga bashers di man lang gets na mali ginagawa nila

  19. I went to school with Jocas. She is very simple, humble and smart. I am not surprised by how she handled this situation... with so much class!

  20. Joey De Leon is a good dad that's why he have these good and educated children. Stop the hate!

    ReplyDelete
  21. There are parents who does not listen to their children. They sometimed think that their age exudes wisdom at all times. This also means that JDL was humble enough to admit his mistakes to his wife and children.

    ReplyDelete
  22. not siding with joey pero totoo naman na ang matatanda halos hindi nila naiintindihan ang depression. ung kuya ng bestfriend ko nadepress, isang araw di lumalabas ng room nya tas yung mama nila ang sabi nag-iinarte daw yung kuya. that night he committed suicide kaya yung mama nila sobrang iyak at nagguilty. after that sya naman ang nadepress at sabi nya malamang ganun daw naramdaman ng anak nya. sad but ganun talaga

  23. I love Jako De Leon ! Hehe. Luh gusto pa sirain yung father-son relationship nila. Jako's a kind-hearted soul and he has his own mind.

  24. bsta ako...i love Jako!! eeehhhh kakakilig dimples mo heheheheheh..

  25. I agree, super classy, well grounded, educated and smart his kids, I gotta give it to their mom, kaya din siguro together pa din si JDL and wife Aileen.
