YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO TOUCH THEM!!! The oils of our skin eat into the protective barrier of theirs which make them more prone to infection. People should be told before diving in the water with them. Sa airplane pa Lang dapat todo announcement na.
Bawal napo ba? Or Bawal po ba in the first place? Kasi pupunta kami ng cebu next year. Baka magbayad kami for that tapos hindi na pala pwede. Please advise.
It is highly discouraged talaga because it hurts the butandings. Madami lang talaga sumusuway sa instruction ng divers like tong si baron. Well he's obviously a disturbed person but thats not an excuse

You are supposed to stay a couple of feet away from them. There is a briefing before you go. You are not supposed to touch them if you have to maintain your distance. But pinoys are hard headed, mga pasaway!
The practice being done in the Oslob whaleshark watching is unethical and disrespectful to the marine life. Pinapakain sila para magstay sa swimming area. Dahil dito, nasisira ung migration patterns nila, hindi nila nakukuha yung sapat na nutrition nila by eating in their own. At the same time, natututo sila na iassociate ung boats sa pagkain, therefore may tendency na lumapit sila sa mga propeller boats or poaching boats that could endanger them. Unfortunately, LGU mismo suportado sila kasi money making yan eh. And ang mga tourista is pinapatronize ito for the selfie moment. Pero ang mga NGO at mga individuals na aware dito, they discourage this kind of ecotourism kasi they know that is harmful to the whalesharks. And merong alternative and better practices for the whaleshark interaction. Tulad nung sa Oslob. Walang guarantee na makita mo sila pero once you do, iba yung pakiramdam dahil nakita mo sila in their own wild environment.
