Just recently, it was reported that the actress experienced pain in her spinal cord. A video of the actress seeking for medical assistance even surfaced online.
She was brought to Gonzaga, Cagayan on August 3 by the Task Force Lingkod Cagayan (TFLC). TFLC assisted Cuntapay in recording the video, and in taking her home to Pili, Ilocos, where her only son lived.
Cuntapay was famous for her roles in horror movies like the Shake, Rattle, and Roll series and Aswang.
In 2011, she was awarded as the ‘Best Actress’ in the Cinema One Originals Digital Film Festival for “Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay”.
