Repost: Aiza Seguerra and Liza Diño Get Gov’t Seats

Singer Aiza Seguerra and partner Liza Diño, who had campaigned for President Rodrigo Duterte, are now both government officials.

Malacañang announced Friday the appointment of Seguerra as chair of the National Youth Commission for a three-year term.

Diño was named chair of the Film Development Council of the Philippines and would also serve in the post for three years.

Seguerra and Diño are the latest supporters of Mr. Duterte to get  government posts.

The two are both in show business.
Seguerra started as a popular child actor before becoming a well-known singer.

Diño is a beauty titlist and is also an actress. She is the daughter of Martin Diño, a party mate of the President.

Martin Diño had paved the way for  Duterte to run for President, because the latter had substituted for him in the 2016 elections./rga

    7. What are their qualifications aber? Mas maraming deserving na nagpapakahirap sa trabaho nila tpos iba yung magiging chairman??? Ano to???

    8. @11:25 Marami pa! Super dami! Kilala mo sila now as Islam at INC at Aglipayans!

    9. 12:47 malaki pinagkaiba! Si DD commissioner lang at madami sila dun while Kay aiza chairmanship! In fairness Kay DD nung kabataan niya naging youth ambassador ng NYC eh si aiza seguerra ano? Nakapagtapos ba ng college yan?

      Delete
    10. Malaki! Si DD hindi nagpapasahod yun, may pinermahan siyang moa stipulating na ang salary niya mapupunta sa youth programs, etc among others aside from the fact na marami talaga siyang nagawa nung naging commissioner at large siya. Naging youth ambassador din siya dati. At mas lower in rank yun kesa appointment ni aiza. Ano ba qualifications niya aside from being an ardent supporter of duterte?

      Delete
    11. @7:39 Aiza graduated from UST with a degree in Fine Arts. So yes nakapagtapos siya ng kolehiyo. Besides hindi basehan ang antas ng edukasyon para maging natatanging qualification sa isang posisyon. Importante you have the heart & will to do the job well. To be effective in your role, you need the desire & passion as well to deliver. Aiza can be an inspiration to the youth that despite being a child star, he (since gender identification niya ay transgender man) still pursued his education. He proved that working at a young age was not a hindrance to finishing his studies. He can also be an inspiration to LGBT that your sexual orientation, gender identity & expression cannot limit you of what you can do in life. Aiza is a trans that excels in his music.

      Delete
    12. @7:53 Not accepting his salary was his personal choice. Then well & good. He did a lot in his job -then great. NYC post is appointed by the Pres. It is the prerogative of the Pres. who he appoints. Besides there's Commission on Appointments who will check & screen the candidates. So let's see if Seguerra will be confirmed. Let's respect the check & balance system of the government.

The guy who turns a blind eye on the hundreds of extra-judicial killings of Filipinos nationwide? The guy whose mouth is fouler than a sewage system? The guy who will put the safety and welfare of Filipinos in peril? I'm so glad I live in Canada, but I fear for my relatives back home.

If it's not nepotism, it's favoritism. Same old. Same old. That's why Pinas will never be a great country and get out of it's 3rd world status because of its leaders and the ppl who vote for them. You're basically bringing your own country down.

Let's give them a chance to prove their worth. Im sure maganda din hangarin nila sa kapwa nila.
