What's wrong? Heterosexual actors and actresses play heterosexual characters all the time. Why couldn't a homosexual actor play a homosexual character? Mga iba dito basta maka-discriminate Lang eh. Don't be like that. The guy is also trying to earn a living like everyone else. The issue should be, can he deliver as an actor? Can he give justice to the role?
