I kinda agree that starcinema is monopolising the cinemas. If talagang maganda ang film nila, it doesnt matter if the playdate is same with int'l films. There's a saying, you only see what the media show and not the real picture. Aminin star cinema na nathreatened kayo at dinaan nalang sa pangbubully ng newcomers.
Ang yayabang Star Cinema pa tlga binabash. Hello wala sa Grade Grade sa panahon ngayon at hello ilang movies na ba naka Graded A na hindi kumita? Usually pag Starcinema di nabibigyan ng Grade A. Siguro alam nila na kikita naman kahit di mataas grade. Binibigay na lang sa maliliit na pelikula ang Grade A
I don't think you can consider This Time as small-budget film given na it's produced by Viva Films, which is still one of the major players in the movie industry ;)

Grade A doesn't necessarily mean ns it's entertaining. parang yung mga nanalo sa Oscar na best picture pero super boring at walang ka fun fun....I think ganito ang tema nun..pero I do admie the writer, director and handlers of jadine for taking a risk..they could've easily done another romcom or otwol level story pero they did it differently...
But remember, initially, kilig movie Lang Ang this time. Even Jadine fans were wary about the movie dahil Baka puchu puchu Lang compared sa level ng OTWOL... plus co-presented pa ng cornetto so Ang baba talaga ng expectations. The graded A rating came as a surprise.

It's so funny that haters suddenly question CEB for giving this movie an "A", do you even think that Viva is capable of giving the group bribes for that? Go watch the movie first before you make any conclusions. Watch Just the 3 of us too, Grade B is not bad at all! This is actually good news for the local industry, it means we are starting to improve in movie making!

The trailer did not give justice to the movie. I watched the movie and lost count of the beautiful shots. It is like reading a book that you don't want to end but you can't wait for the next scenes either, it's that good. LSS on that Kapit kamay Tayong Dalawa song don't know the title. The director brought out the best in all characters.

ReplyDeleteGrade A doesn't necessarily mean ns it's entertaining. parang yung mga nanalo sa Oscar na best picture pero super boring at walang ka fun fun....I think ganito ang tema nun..pero I do admie the writer, director and handlers of jadine for taking a risk..they could've easily done another romcom or otwol level story pero they did it differently...

DeleteBut remember, initially, kilig movie Lang Ang this time. Even Jadine fans were wary about the movie dahil Baka puchu puchu Lang compared sa level ng OTWOL... plus co-presented pa ng cornetto so Ang baba talaga ng expectations. The graded A rating came as a surprise.

DeleteIt's so funny that haters suddenly question CEB for giving this movie an "A", do you even think that Viva is capable of giving the group bribes for that? Go watch the movie first before you make any conclusions. Watch Just the 3 of us too, Grade B is not bad at all! This is actually good news for the local industry, it means we are starting to improve in movie making!

ReplyDeleteThe trailer did not give justice to the movie. I watched the movie and lost count of the beautiful shots. It is like reading a book that you don't want to end but you can't wait for the next scenes either, it's that good. LSS on that Kapit kamay Tayong Dalawa song don't know the title. The director brought out the best in all characters.
