    1. But do you agree with ms.lea na we shouldnt celebrate independence day just because we are not debt free etc?i wanna know ur views about this.

      Delete
    2. I think ang point lang is while we are celebrating our independence from colonizers, look how far we have come since that independence? Imbis na mag progress nag regress pa. Compare our country with other Asian countries, 50 years ago tayo ang leader ng Asia, ngayon leaps and bounds nalagpasan na tayo ng Singapore even ng Vietnam. We even import rice, eh ang laki ng bukid natin. Sad diba?

    3. Maganda sagot ni @Rey Pinyoko at walang maisagot si Lea so she opted to correct his grammar instead and use the "don't judge me if you're as dirty as me" line of thinking when she is doing the same.. judging people who celebrates and finding positivity in the celebration.

    5. 6:16 Tama. there's a 16-year-old boy arrested over criticizing lee kuan yew. ang maganda kasi dito compared sa china or singapore, there is free speech compared doon. try ni lea mabuhay sa china or singapore at ipagsabi ang tutoong nangyayari sa karaniwang mamamayan doon, huli din siya.

china may be a superpower, but then most of its population are weak and have no voice. kung ano lang ang gustong ipakita ng gobyerno ang pwedeng ipakita ng media.

just like in any country, including the us of a, the rich become richer and the poor become poorer, and the media spin whatever story the higher ups want them to spin.

what we see is the PR machine that is at work all the time. we don't really know what's happening to the common people.

    9. Anon 12:49 we are not Leah's worshipper.. not because we agree with her "fan" na agad.. her tweet is a rethoric which meant to make us think.. and by the way she is taking about freedom from neocolonialism.

I'm just pointing out how arrogant she is with her posts and replies if you only analyze her tone/register. Never ko pa siyang naobserve na makipagdebate in a cordial manner. She is always defensive, at talagang mataas ang tingin niya sa sarili niya. Try to observe din her nonverbal cues para maintindihan niyo.

Hinahayaan ngang matulog hanggang magising ng walang nanakaw at bugbog no.

Some consider Finland din. But it's not a country itself. Kuha mo 7:41p.m.?

  42. I wonder why she's still in the country despite all her frustrations? Lea, you're free to leave, you're free and we'll be also free from your whinings. A win win solution.

  43. The freedom that gave us the chance to rise again is the same freedom that is pulling us down.

  45. To each his own! if you don't want to celebrate Independece Day,then don't! If you think the Philippines is not free yet, you're free to leave and go to a country that's free. You yourself Lea is not free yet, kc nasa Pinas ka,Ingles ang salita mo, kinikita mo pesos, at jan ka nakatira. dami mong arte! Hala, bitbitin ang maleta at mangibang bansa! Layas!!!

  47. Sobrang nega talaga ng posts coming from someone who should have served as inspiration despite the negativity of life in the country. Nakaka-sad naman coming from someone I look up to. Naging icon of negativity si Lea.

The thing is, alam naman natin ang point ni Lea about so many bad things in this country. But as a citizen, wala naman mangyayari kung puro nega lang ang ibabato natin sa gobyerno.

Haaayst. Ang stubborn pa ng mga replies nya.

  52. If you would look and compare to India, they're much poverty stricken and have corruption anywhere yet they celebrate extravagantly their independence. It's just the attitude of being grateful, wala yata noon si lea..

  53. I agree with Leah.

COme to think of it, muka namang state side ang mga tao e. At least, protektado pa islands natin from China.

  58. Most of the Scandinavian countries are almost debt-free, corruption-free and poverty-free. Why are Filipinos always angry when someone tells it like it is

    ReplyDelete
  59. I don't know if it's just me but it really takes an intelligent & open mind to be able to relate to Lea Salonga's tweets. I love her honesty. Brutal sometimes, but that's how she speaks her mind. People tend to forget that Lea lived abroad for so many years kaya hindi nya din talaga mapigilang sumama ang loob kasi umalis at bumalik cya ng Pilipinas na walang pagbabago ang sistema.

Bakit kaya natin sinecelebrate ang Independence Day?
