  2. I love everything that she said here especially the part where she emphasized how Vice acted classy during the night. An act you would've expected from Toni rather than Vice. She didn't have to apologize though especially to Toni's fans.

  5. I watched the replay. Nina may really feel for the candidates since she used to be there. TG mocked so many contestants! So shocking! I was cringing- shut up TG next time please! .... No I hope there will be no more next time! This pageant has become a circus!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. TG was not mocking but just throwing jokes. I guess to make contestants feel at ease. However, it was not appropriately done. That's my thought, but basically NOT MOCKING ANYONE DURING THE CONTEST...

    2. Yes she was, it was demeaning, which is basically like harassment.

  6. in my opinion, the manner and attitude that actress toni gonzaga showed last night did not fit the elegant gown that she wore. she acted like she was superior to all the beauty contestants. money can buy you a new nose but definitely not breeding and manners. she was a misfit trying to fit in. shame.

  11. you shouldnt have appologized ms. Nina, perhaps you even echoed the sentiments of viewers who were disgusted with toni's hosting of last night's formal event. Toni should be the one appologizing to all the contestants and judges who she might have offended last night due to her inappropriate hosting style.

    1. agree with anon 5:09 PM. Nina has class which toni sadly does not have. Furthermore, toni's ball gown was so inappropriate even if it was created by michael cinco. To make matters worse, tony ruined everything with her crass.

      Delete
    2. The ball gown was VERY inappropriate for the event. She should've worn something that would not take away the attention from the contestants.

    5. I was talking about Nina and her doll accessories when I said craft. Admired her before, loving her now for standing her ground. So, I'm perplexed why you guys thought my post was about Toni.

  13. I love her response. This is what you call CLASS. She apologized while still standing firm in what she said, bravo. She singlehandedly made the event look cheap. Kudos to Miss Nina, for staying true to her statement. She makes some really valid points na di maintindihan ng fantards.

Pilipinas.

    ReplyDelete
  21. No need to apologize. Ganun din ang nasa isip ng mga tao about Toni's hosting of BBP.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I can see where Nina is coming from. Toni should have been more formal. Inwas cringing when she was trying to be witty and funny. When she kept on repeating Mr Frederick Go's surname, it just was in bad taste. Vice was even more formal than her. She jus thas this feeling of superiority that makes her look arrogant.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bonggels ang mga posts mo Ms. Nina Ricci Alagao-Flores! Coming from a REAL beauty Queen! Ganyan dapat ang pagpatola- may class, hindi crass (unlike others who claim to be classy). PS I have always liked you.

  24. Nina my dear (she was robbed big time of a placement in Miss Universe in Cyprus!) what you said resonated to the opinion of many people- Toni,s hosting was something that has to do with her being ILL BRED! after all you cannot buy breeding! thats all....

    ReplyDelete

  39. Dapat lang talaga mag apologize ka. You didn't just judge the hosting stint, but also refer to physical appearance. May sinabi pa about looking like an alalay. And so what?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Apology is indeed required coz she need not be specific in pointing out Toni's 'imperfections'. A simple 'Never forget where u came from' will do. However, i do agree with most of Nina's comments. It might be true that Toni was trying to make the show more 'entertaining' & might also be trying to make the contestants feel less nervous BUT i personally think that her 'tries' were not a complete success. Why? If Toni or the organizers think that making the show 'bakya' will help boost ratings then that is just sad. They really undermine the taste of most of their viewers.... hmmm or i maybe wrong? hahaha. Also, while it may help others to lighten up when being made fun of, it might not be the same for all. Would u feel better if someone will play with your earrings? One may possibly feel more self-conscious, isnt it? Anyways, lets not forget that the important thing is we will get the crown internationally! Best of luck to our girls! :)

  42. A few months ago, Vice Ganda interviewed Alex Gonzaga and mentioned that she was funnier than her sister (or something like that). Given that Vice was one of the judges, I had a feeling while watching the pageant that Toni was trying to prove something to Vice. Doing so made her steal the spotlight away from the contestants. I agree with what Nina, and the others are saying. I think BBP is not a venue for that kind of humor (i.e. tasteless). I wish she had shown more respect, not ridicule, to the judges.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Talking about breeding it seems like miss Nina doesn't have one too. Criticism is different from an insult.

    ReplyDelete
  44. what toni has is CRASS & not class! Insecure kasi siya dahil amidst a bevy of beauties ay alam niyang siya ay retokada galore. Gusto pa niyang ma upstage ang mga contestants by wearing an oh so inappropriate ball gown to a beauty pageant. Well, nag backfire lahat sa kanya! She ruined cinco's creations by her crass which proves that it's not the clothing that wears you but it is the wearer that bears the clothes. toni ruined cinco's creations by her brash & crass!

  47. I agree with most of what Nina said previously, but what I didnt like is how she mentioned about Toni's looks. Para sabihan na alalay, what does that even mean? Na pag alalay e hindi maganda? Ganun kageneralize? Sana she criticised nalang niya ung hosting skills. Kasi she just didn't insult Toni, but she insulted alalays too. She hated what Toni did, but she did the same thing.

    ReplyDelete

    1. I agree, no need to say about the nose job and all, that's too personal. She said she is like a mother reprimanding her child.. when she does that, does she tell her kids "ang pangit ng ginawa mo, hindi dapat ganyan, di ka naman kagawapuhan?

Will she like it if her child was insulted because of the physical appearance of her child? Hmmmm, when she was'nt yet a "beauty" queen, she is just a plain maiitim kid playing outside her house. And look at her now.

      Delete
  48. Class for a foul mouth? Are you effin kidding me??? Bb. Pilipinas has been a boring show for years. Someone who came in and put a new flavor with no intentions of causing harm at all was dissed out, and you call it class? You could've said sorry with a line or two, no need to write a novel to justify your previous acts. Admit it, her comments were insensitive and uncalled for. If she had issues with Toni's hosting skills, a prudent person could've posted something subtle without getting too personal but still able to get the message across. Slamming Toni who didn't wrong her in any way and bringing up things that she knew herself would hurt Tony, her family and friends was a low blow and downright rude. She wouldn't like it if the table was turned and she was the one being slammed and maligned. She was once a beauty queen, shouldn't beauty queens guard their mouth and learn to shut up if nothing good comes out of it? She has kids and she's out setting a bad example to them. I hope they don't get bullied for what their mother did. Oh well at the end of the day, it's her life and she's responsible for it. Kudos!

  49. Sooo...they did that to you before and called you names and compared you to a horse and called you dumb, etc. Just because you were "gracious" to accept all those criticisms, you have the right to do to others what they did to you? Ok I think I should go calling everyone rude names and diss them all out coz like you, they can also take all the criticisms I throw at them. Bravo!!! Very well said and hats off to you Nina! Hahaha may pinagdadaanan ka nga talaga cguro lol!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Seriously Nina??????? Why picked someone's imperfections???? At least si Toni kahit mejo fail hosting nya di nya inokray physically mga contestants yung hikaw lang eh ikaw Nina ano pinakita mong pagkatao based sa statement mo????????

    ReplyDelete
  51. Nina's comment is completely backwards and plain stupid.

Ang OSCARS ay "BLACK TIE EVENT", Ellen DeGeneres made crazy jokes all the time. Neil Patrick Harris went out, presenting/announcing in BRIEFS "ONLY" (again, in a black tie event).

There is nothing wrong with being funny and entertaining. She did not ridicule anyone.

BB Pilipinas is upholding "being yourself" all the time. And then you’ll get criticized by doing so? Come on Nina. Wake up.
BB Pilipinas’ advocacy is charity, and NOT prestigiousness/prestige.

  54. Last set of comments here are all fantards of TG. Wahahaha. Good read though. MORE POPCORN PLEASE! =)

    ReplyDelete
  55. Ang mali ni Nina, namersonal sya. She should've stuck to commenting about the manner of hosting, hindi yung history ng pagpaparetoke ng tao. Nag-below the belt rin na comments eh. Quits lang.

    ReplyDelete
  56. i agree with nina 100%.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Im not a fan of Toni nor of Nina. And I think that Nina's opinion about how Toni hosted is 100% on point. Toni could have delivered her jokes in a better way or classier way as others say 'would be fitting to the event.' But I just dont think it is right for Nina to make remarks about how Toni looked before and hinted that Toni underwent the knife. Though it may be highly probable. I still dont think it is right to say those things/dig that side, when she only wants to say something about how Toni hosted. That part of Nina's comments were attacks on Toni personally and not the way she hosted. Others may say she was classy enough to apologize in the way she did but I disagree cause she just apologized to appease Toni's fans not because she meant it.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I almost agreed to Nina but after she went below the belt regarding the retoke thing, nevermind na lang. Pareho lang kayo if not mas malala pa yung comments niya.

  61. Ang sa akin lang bakit kailangan pa nyang ungaktin at personalin ang mga bagay2x gaya nga "mukhang yaya". wala akong naaalala na joke ni toni that night na naging below the belt sa mga contestant nor she cited out anything that humiliates them. For me that was just a typical tagalog joke. On the other hand, napakapersonal na ng post nya, so mean and unprofessional.
