From pickup point until you reach your destination. I never felt more than safe even if I'm alone specially during wee hours.

As backup siguro, you can get the number of taxi companies near you and that you are aware of their profile. Some companies put additional booking fees but at least alam mong safe kasi naendorse ng company hng driver. Don't go straight to the driver also kahit pa ilang beses ka nang nagpasundo-hatid.

sana mahuli na yang mga rapists. they are the worst because they violate you and leave scars (physically and emotionally).

Share lang po. Befriend a reliable and trusted taxi driver para siya nalang ang magdadala sa pupuntahan mo or kung kailangan ng taxi. Pero kung di naman po siya available, once you get in a cab, do not forget to text your loved ones or your "person" yung plate number ng taxi ng sinakyan at anong oras at saan ka kumuha ng taxi. I always do that all the time. My 1peso txt message is worth nothing para lang alam ng go-to person ko kung nasaan na ako just in case may mangyari sa akin (knock on wood). Iba na po talaga ang panahon ngayon. Marami na pong mga taong walang takot sa Diyos. Justice for your friend FP tsaka yung iba pa pong biktima.
Yes, it helps that you text friends/family the details of the cab you ride in. Ako, I even let the taxi driver know that I've texted people about me getting into a cab. Minsan simpleng parinig lang na " Ay, itetext ko nga pala kay hubby etong taxi para mahintay ako sa labas ng gate" or minsan I ask my husband to call me (I prefer incoming call for some reason kasi parang mas effective na alam nila may naghihintay or naghahanap sa pasahero nila) tapos pinaparinig ko na dini-dictate ko yung details ng taxi (company, plate number, where I boarded, pati driver's name kapag nakikita ko naman dun sa ID na naka-hang sa may rearview mirror). May nasakyan na ako dati na taxi na feeling ko hold up-er pero parang natigilan nung tumawag si hubby at narinig nyang binibigay ko details saka aabangan pa ako sa may gate.
Grab Taxi. I don't mind paying extra, it's not cheap but I value my safety and peace of mind. Over and above the meter rate there's an additional 70.00. I don't take the taxi that much but if I need to i go grab taxi. Since last year pa to and never sila pumalpak sa akin. Lahat ng taxi bago. Accdg to one driver i.conversed with, the people from grab have to approve a taxi first. So hindi lahat tinatanggap sa grab.
Yan nga din ang iniisip ko. May choice ba ang bulok na sistema dito sa atin? If he will be come our president, probably lahat kakatakutan siya. Less crime rate!!!!

This is just too disturbing. I know we should be extra cautious now taking a taxi cab BUT this should be stopped! Hindi naman pede na ganito nalang palagi. I am now supporting capital punishment and I believe this should be reinstated as soon as possible. I know we cannot just take someone's lives and it's against the Biblical laws - but without this, more lives will be taken away. These heartless people are just too much! Dont they list the taxis plate nos pag nagsakay sila? BGC needs CCTV na din. CCTV everywhere, please. And please palitan na justuce system here. This I think was similar from a prestigious school's story (heard it from my classmates but the identity of the girl was kept. I know the story is true because everyone in the school were spreading it, schoolmate kasi) where a student was repeatedly raped by a taxi driver and his accomplice hiding in the passenger side. The accomplice was, like in this story, hiding with a dark cloth crouched. Anyway, they checked-in in a hotel- the one where you can pay for the room rent after you used it. Yun merong parking garage tapos deretso na sa room. She was raped for 3 days din. In the end, the driver got caught but not the accomplice. Please beware of all taxi drivers. I came from the province and my friend who works in the metro, well, she defended them saying not all are "manloloko." True to her words, hindi naman lahat, Kasi yung iba, rapist din.
We need REFORMS in this country ASAP! We need a strong-willed, iron-fisted leader, who will scare & shoo away criminals for good!! Can't think of anyone else but DUTERTE!
To be fair not all taxi drivers are bad. Pero dahil may mga pailan ilan pati sila nadadamay. Ako I usually ride uber safe and convenient kasi. I have nothing against grab taxi pero i had to share a friends experience. She booked grabtaxi and the driver told her to meet half way at first she was hesitant but since she was in a rush she accepted it. When she reached the destination of the meet-up and told the taxi driver where she plan to go. Sumagot yung driver "ay hindi ako nag hahatid dyan"
taxis arent safe anymore than it used to. FP, dito sa cebu just this month, when the flagdown was decreased to 30, my workmate and his wife went to work and ask the driver for the 10php reduction since P40 is still what appears on every taxi's meter. this driver gave the 10php back but threw it to the passenger and grabbed his knife. good thing the door was unlocked so the couple managed to escape. the driver then went out of the car and yelled, "pagbayad mog tarong!" (magbayad kayo ng maayos) to humiliate the couple, make it appear they didnt pay rigt. He then chased them with his knife. Good thing they were able to run away and went inside a building. they filed a blotter right away, they were able to take a photo of the taxis body. my workmate said the driver looked high in drugs! kaya ingat tayo lagi, lalo na mga babae!
Mukhang nakakatakot nang umuwi sa atin.Kung meron lang tayong good leader na they can look after us, di sana hindi nangyayari ito sa bansa natin. I agree. Kahit na the story is not true the fact still remains na nangyayari talaga to. When I was working pa in Manila, nag ttaxi lagi ako papuntang work lalo na pag Mondays and Fridays. Thank God, wala naman akong masamang experience except for two instances lang. One, gabi na nun yung driver nung taxi na nasakyan ko kept on asking for my number, if I have a bf daw etc etc. I told him lahat ng ex ko pinapakulam ko. Nagpababa ako sa Starbucks na malapit sa office, bayad agad, then gora.
Eto ang mas malala. I was on my way to Megamall with my mom and sister in law and malas namin na ang driver yata nung nasakyan naming taxi eh wanted for murder. Haha! He told us na wanted sya sa province nya for killing his neighbor kaya andito sya sa Manila. Plus - he kept on telling my mom na kung pwede nya daw akong pakasalan. Wtf. Di ko alam kung matatakot ako or matatawa.
One year na ako gmgamit ng grabtaxi, tapos weekly pa ako nagtataxi. So far wala pa naman akong naencounter na palpak o di safe sa kanila. Syempre andun pa rin ung alert ka dapat, at itxt/itawag sa iba ang plate number, current location, at saan ka papunta. Nakakatakot na ngayon.

FP, dito sa cebu just this month, when the flagdown was decreased to 30, my workmate and his wife went to work and ask the driver for the 10php reduction since P40 is still what appears on every taxi's meter. this driver gave the 10php back but threw it to the passenger and grabbed his knife. good thing the door was unlocked so the couple managed to escape. the driver then went out of the car and yelled, "pagbayad mog tarong!" (magbayad kayo ng maayos) to humiliate the couple, make it appear they didnt pay rigt. He then chased them with his knife. Good thing they were able to run away and went inside a building. they filed a blotter right away, they were able to take a photo of the taxis body. my workmate said the driver looked high in drugs! kaya ingat tayo lagi, lalo na mga babae!
ReplyDeleteMukhang nakakatakot nang umuwi sa atin.Kung meron lang tayong good leader na they can look after us, di sana hindi nangyayari ito sa bansa natin. Dapat i hang ang mga nang rape kahit pa meron silang pamilya para maisipan nang mga lalaking walang utak kung ano ang mangyayari pagginawa nila ang mga bagay na hindi nila dapat gawin. At sana magkaroon na tayo nang good salary at hindi per day salary, we need to have a per hour salary para naman magkaroon ang lahat nang pera. Hindi na tayo nalalayo sa Indian marami na ang jobless at rapist. To be honest our goverment need to do a big action on this! lahat nang nang rape huwag bigyan nang chance i hang agad ang mga leeg, para hindi na dumami pa sa kulungan, anyway may kasabihan ones you did, you can do it again at dagdag pa sila sa pakakainin sa kulungan!!!

ReplyDeleteI agree. Kahit na the story is not true the fact still remains na nangyayari talaga to. When I was working pa in Manila, nag ttaxi lagi ako papuntang work lalo na pag Mondays and Fridays. Thank God, wala naman akong masamang experience except for two instances lang. One, gabi na nun yung driver nung taxi na nasakyan ko kept on asking for my number, if I have a bf daw etc etc. I told him lahat ng ex ko pinapakulam ko. Nagpababa ako sa Starbucks na malapit sa office, bayad agad, then gora.
ReplyDeleteEto ang mas malala. I was on my way to Megamall with my mom and sister in law and malas namin na ang driver yata nung nasakyan naming taxi eh wanted for murder. Haha! He told us na wanted sya sa province nya for killing his neighbor kaya andito sya sa Manila. Plus - he kept on telling my mom na kung pwede nya daw akong pakasalan. Wtf. Di ko alam kung matatakot ako or matatawa.
One year na ako gmgamit ng grabtaxi, tapos weekly pa ako nagtataxi. So far wala pa naman akong naencounter na palpak o di safe sa kanila. Syempre andun pa rin ung alert ka dapat, at itxt/itawag sa iba ang plate number, current location, at saan ka papunta. Nakakatakot na ngayon.

Pano kaming maralita ni pang pedicab inuutang pa namin, maaring nakakaluwag nga sa buhay ang ale kaya nya nagawang mag taxi pero di ibig sabihin nito kaya na nyang bumili ng kotse... mas makakatulong sana kung ang lahat ay magiging vigilant! Magmasid, makiaalam sa paligid nyo hindi yun puro sa tsismis kayo nakatutok marami sa inyo ang puro satsat at nagmamagaling!

Yung isa naman holdup at muntik n ko mamatay kung hnd lng nakita ng mga guard. Pati wag kayo nagtetext sa jeep. may nakita rin ako biglang hinahablot habang taffic
