Good day! I'm an avid fan of your blog. I greatly admire your quick wit and fashion sense. I'm writing to you because I want to warn your readers of this person who sells counterfeit designer bags but passes them off as real ones at "factory prices". I'm confident that you'll understand this sentiment since like you, I work hard to earn money to buy beautiful (and real) things.
The seller's name is C**** (C). She's from a well-off family, studied in a private Christian school, and lives in Quezon City. Early this year she offered me LV bags at 20%-30% off store prices (priced around 30K to 90k). Since I'm fond of this brand and she was so convincing, showing me boxes and a receipt, I bought one of the bags. She would always tell me that an LV bag is worth the investment because it's a sign that I've "arrived" (earning well). She also offered payments in installment, so now you see how it was so hard to resist her offer. I bought 3 bags from her.
When I asked C where she gets her supply, she gave me this story of a friend who lives and work in Italy who buys and ships the supposedly authentic bags to her and she simply resells the bags for a small profit.
Seeing this as a good deal, I informed her that I wanted to resell the bags and asked if she can give me a reseller's discount and longer payment terms. She said it was ok.
When I offered it to my friends they were excited that there is such a deal. However, this excitement was short-lived when one of my friends pointed out that there seems to be some "irregularities" with the bag that I bought. My friend encouraged me to visit the LV store to have it authenticated. Confident that I bought the bag with a box and receipt, I brought my bags and a couple of bags C has "consigned" to me to the LV Store at Greenbelt 5 to allay my fears.
Lo and behold, the store refused to authenticate the bag. Apparently it's company policy to not authenticate because they do not have "factory outlets" therefore, there's nothing to authenticate . It's their way of saying: If you didn't buy it in an LV store, chances are it's fake. But since the store manager couldn't do anything to circumvent the policy and he took pity in my obvious facial expression of disappointment, he offered to show me a bags of the same models that I brought and to assess for myself.
Attached are the shocking revelations that I've discovered that fateful day.
Optimistic at heart, I immediately called up C to tell her what I've discovered. I expected that she'd be shocked as I am. Instead, she the first thing out of her mouth was: "LV store does not authenticate". Then she proceeds to nag that the bags that she sells are all authentic. It dawned to me that she knew she was selling fakes in the first place, but tried to pass them off as real ones because she knew that LV store does not authenticate.
I offered to return the bags I've bought but demanded that she return my hard-earned money. She did return it but she issued a PDC which only cleared after a month. The audacity of this swindler. Thus, I'm only able to expose this person's modus operandi now.
Lesson learned: Louis Vuitton does NOT sell at a discount, EVER. Even if there's a box and receipt, always insist on meeting at the LV store before buying so you can check.
She continues to operate her shameless modus operandi to date. I just hope that your readers who bought/buy from her will read this and ask for a refund.
I do not wish her ill, but she is a scam artist that has gotten away for a long time already and this has got to stop. I hope you can help me by posting this letter and help me spread this around.
God bless and more power!
Warm regards,
Kady

ReplyDeleteIt's just a bag, people! It's not even Chanel, hahaha!
DeleteDi naman kailangan magpunta sa hk to buy. May lv sa greenbelt. O baka super poor ka pati greenbelt di mo mapuntahan.
Deletetouche @4:24 lol
Deletei buy directly from Louie Bitoy
DeleteLV bags NEVER go on sale. I didn't know why you, Letter Sender didn't know that.
DeleteI've been selling branded items for 2yrs already. I have many resellers sa ibat ibang company.and yes LV dont have factory outlets. I am careful myself kc i have resellers to protect hence i only buy on the shop itself or factory outlets every holiday sale. I've done alot of research about LV. 90% chance its fake if u didn't buy it in the store itself.
Delete..
Yap never nag sale ang LV d2 s ireland kahit boxing day, pero halos lahat mga prada, gucci etc may mga sale cla.
DeleteWalang SALE at walang discounted price sa LV. Me and my friend decided to exchange a small bag she bought from Paris at LV store along Bond Street in London. They immediately took and checked inside a room the authenticity certificate. They flashed this light sa bag, nakita ko sa lang sa maliit na siwang from the door since the staff did not lock the door. Then the staff came out and asked my friend what she wants as replacement. The price varies like 525 Euros nya nabili at naiba lang ang forex pero no discount and no sale, They rather burn the items sa Paris than go on sale!
Deleteanon 745
Deletewala pong authenticity certificate.. if you really have an LV you would know that.. what they give is the receipt... there is also a production code hidden somewhere inside the bag
"You've arrived", pero via Installment ang pagbili ng LV bags? Isa lang ang ibig sabihin nyan: you're living beyond your means, gurl, and you're nothing more than a social-climbing label wh**e. Buti nga sa yo.
ReplyDeleteLike
DeleteIts not my fault that I have arrived. We arrival people always believe that paying in full dont make a refelction that a person is rich or famous. Its in the mindset.
DeleteHahaha..korek! Wag magpumilit kng d kaya bumili mismo sa LV store!
DeleteGurl, please. I deal regularly with high networth people in my line of work. And if there is something that I've learned over the years, kung sino pa yung talagang 'mahahaba ang pisi' eh sila pa ang napaka-simplistic ng taste and lifestyle. While those... we'll you know the rest.
DeletePaying in full upfront means you can really afford these luxury items after paying your bills, other expenses and savings. Paying in installment for goods like these means your pushing to your limits. Live simply. Be happy with what you have. That's why these scammers are a dime a dozen because of shallow social climbers.
Deletea person has truly "arrived, if and when, they have done an unselfish act, provided goodwill towards his or her fellowmen, or affected a positive chnage on others, definitely not by owning an overpriced, expensive bag.
DeleteWhy invest in expensive purses? I just don't get it. Even if I have the means to buy one I won't my hard earned money for just a piece of bag!
Delete@2:11 aww sister dont be such a hater. Walang basagan ng trip. Kun gusto mo lustayin pera mo sa pagkaen then go.
Deleteanon 2:11 wag mo pakialaman kung afford namn nila bumili ng mamahaling bag as long as di namn nila inutang
Andaming interesting things. And di lang laging bashing or comments from nega readers or puro basta basta opinions nababasa ko. Dami ko din narerealize about life. Like what i've read from these comments..
DeleteTo be practical kase u need to get your luho from suklu of your earnings. Like u should pay ur obligations first and help others esp. ur significant others. Isn't it masarp sa feeling after mong nabili ung reward mo for urself kung wala kang iniisip na burden like unpaid debts. Rather than may new & expensive stuffs ka nga dami mo naman utang. Be settled muna before u show off & make yabang.
Deletekaloka.
Let them be. They worked hard for their money. They have the right to spend it as they wish. Dont hate on hardworking people who enjoy finer things in life like FP. Saka nabebenta pa rin ang LV and if youre lucky maybe in the next few years yung model na nabili mo magiging vintage na mas mahal na ang price
DeleteHey what's ur problem..?nagpost nga ung tao to let people aware of being scam by this seller..mayabang ka masyado ah!are you jinky paquiao to show off..haist!buhay nga naman masyado kang mapangmataas gurl..fyi are you really rich enough to do that.. stop acting like you buy the whole thing and never experienced installment payment..kaloka to!..kaw yata si Ms. C e!..mind your own business..Instead thanking those people whose doing things like this for letting us know the fake and real one..thank you..just chill!this is just reply for your post :-)
DeleteI agree Anon 305.
DeleteAnon 1220 - Kanya-kanyang trip yan. Dami nyong hanash.
Ikaw ang mayabang. Mind your own business.
The pics help, but it would be easier for us if FP would expose the real name so we can avoid her altogether! Saves us time and effort.
ReplyDeleteAnna Janina
It's called a Blind Item for a reason, duh.
DeleteMedyo off na hinighlight un difference.
FP kaya to. There is an issue and we learned something from the story hindi laitin yung mga comments. DUH!!!
Poor agad? 12:15am/ dahan-dahan naman. And fyi bat pupunta pa hk meron nga LV dito sa pinas.
ReplyDeletekse miss poorita, malaki ang difference sa hk. halos 30%, ang neverfull na 55,000 sa greenbelt is nasa 33,000 lang sa HK, thats why. and may point sya, kung ikaw eh nagreresort na bumili ng LV sa resellers dahil mura, it means you are not financially ready to buy one. the least you can do is go to HK to buy one, kung di mo pa rin kaya, eh antay antay muna. ipon ipon, di naman mauubos ang LV bag
DeleteActually, harsh man, pero totoo ang sinabi ni 12:15 teh (sans the HK remark). It's an obvious indication na hindi niya talaga afford ang bag when she bought it on an installment basis.
DeleteLV 'Pinas branch has limited selection. Worse, some are out of season already. I should know. I have "arrived" and I always fully pay for my bags in one transaction.
DeleteTheir bags in HK are cheaper compared to Philippine prices.

DeleteI know a seller who uses the same exact reason that her mother works in Italy blah blah..
ReplyDeletekse sa totoo lang meron iba sobrang trying hard, kung di kaya bilhin ang bag from outlet, wag na ipilit, ibig sabihn you havent "arrived". kaya maraming naloloko kse madami ding trying hard pumorma. and sa totoo lang may point naman si Anon 12:15, ang dami na promo fare to Hongkong ngayon, dun ka bumili sa LV store Canton Road bumili, almost 20 to 30% ang mura compare sa Greenbelt pero sure ka na di ka mapepeke.
ReplyDeleteKung promo fare to Hongkong, eh nanghihinayang ka at di ka willing gastusin, wag na ipilit ang LV bag from resellers, di ka pa "arrive" ibig sabihn, try again when you are in better financially position
Sorry to be blunt, but if you need a bag to convince yourself and others that you "have arrived", then you haven't.
ReplyDeleteI'm tired of hearing about people going gaga over signature bags and convincing themselves that these are "investments". Buy them because you like them, but don't kid yourself about them being true "investments". That idea is just a briliant marketing strategy. Property, gold, stocks & business concepts -- those are investments.
A bag, no matter how beautiful & painstakingly made, is at the end of the day, still just a bag. If you don't think you're enough without it, then you'll never be enough, kahit ilang signature bags pa ang bilhin mo.
Finally! All my friends, married and single alike, are crazies over branded bags. Some even apply for loans just to purchase the latest designs. I never understood why they thought it was an investment. I use Marikina bags, and proud of them. They are good and cheap. But I know for sure, my house looks a whole lot better than my friends who own designer bags. And I keep telling them to invest in a nice and comfy home that they will go home to for the rest of their lives.
DeleteTake a chill pill. Don't resent people who like the finer things in life. As long as they don't ask you to buy one for them, then you don't have the right to hate.
DeleteAmen! I agree 100%. Measuring one's relevance and accomplishments through designer bags just reeks of social climbing.
DeleteAnd sorry to be blunt, but just the fact that the letter sender had to resort to buying 'deals' and availing of payment schemes means that she clearly has not 'arrived' in where she fancies herself to be.
Korek!
DeleteWell said, my dear!!! Bravo!
Deleteso true, if i had the money, i would never purchase any of these bags, why? i'd feel guilty, the cost of one bag can feed hundreds, no, thousands of hungry children in africa or one of those countries in need, i know it's not bad to reward yourself, and if you rally had the resources, but i just feel it's frivolous
DeleteI wish you would not have the money 1:40am. Wag na tayong magpakaplastic, if ever we have the chance to buy good things hindi pa ba natin igagrab? Seriously. As long as hindi sila naghihingi, then there is no problem about that. Regarding sa issue ni ate, dapat sana before she believed it sana nag research muna siya. Nagmukha tuloy siyang social climber sa ginawa niya. May google naman to check :-)
Delete1:40 asus nasasabi mo lang yan because you dont have the money am sure pag nagkapera ka malilimuran mo yung mahihirap sa africa
Deletewhile i dont agree with lettersender about buying a bag on installment wag naman kayo judgmental if some people want to splurge on some luxuries as long as di inutang o ninakaw.. self righteousness is an equally big sin
Te, africa ka pa or other countries.
DeleteI'm gaga over leather bags/wallets even if it pains me since I'd like to see less animals killed for their leather. However I've always balked at buying designer bags, even if I could afford it and position-wise in the company "I've arrived". I only have a few pieces I rotate since leather lasts for a long time. I still hesitate to buy a Fino bag at full price, and I'm always late for their sales so I still don't have a Fino bag haha. I buy Vedasto/Our Tribe, great leather pieces - not as supple as designer bags and stitching is nowhere near as impeccable as designer pieces but I can take them from meetings to the mall. I somewhat understand the temptation to buy designer bags at low prices but if I were the letter sender, I would've gotten only 1 and had it authenticated if not by the store then by someone who knows designer bags - madami naman ganun. Then again she should've known that LV doesn't have a "factory outlet" and that employee purchases are limited in terms of quantity and discount. Sa huli lagi pagsisi but let's not be too harsh on her, nawalan na sya ng pera - that's her cross to bear so we don't need to add on it by needlessly calling her a social climber or a label wh*re. We all have our moments of weaknesses and are prone to being victims of fraud (mine was the contractor who built the house I recently bought tsk tsk). Like what other the comments say, we have different priorities when it comes to spending our money. Letter sender wanted to designer bags, other want traditional investments like real estate or jewelry. Kanya kanyang trip, no matter how we disagree with how others spend their money we can't really do anything since it's their money to spend. I appreciate the pics illustrating the real from the fake. Not that I would buy an LV bag anytime soon since an I could use that amount to pay down my mortgage's principal haha.
Deletethen you are being judgemental.. i would appreciate if i am asking for your advice, but im not.. some people are just as happy having their LV's while you are buying your condo or whatever property you say, the same way the next person eating their favorite pizza.. and maybe happier.. its their happiness, not yours
Deletei love bags and honestly can afford those. but i would never buy anything that expensice. what I own does not define how much i'm worth.
DeleteMy thoughts exactly!!! In my opinion, I'd rather invest in jewelry than these designer bags. In cases of money emergency, you can always pawn them. By the way, can you pawn designer bags? Just asking...
Delete@1:26, yes you can pawn designer bags
Deleteif 'you've really arrived' you can afford to buy directly from LV stores in cash..kung kelangan mong makamura via factory discount at installment pa...sorry to say it honey pero social climber lang ang peg mo... gumising ka sa reality that you have not arrived ..
ReplyDeletesan man lang nagresearch ka muna or nagtanong sa mismong LV .. malalaman mo na there is no such thing as factory outlet or discount and never ever sila nagsesale
you. nailed. it.
DeleteCorrect!!! Her act itself makes you really think "she hasn't arrived" and I think common sense would tell you to check the LV bags first at Greenbelt since you'll be paying, I assume, more than a 75thou (or more) for a bag?
Deleteseriously, they are not investments. what kind of investments do you buy at 80,000 and cant sell at same price even after years, no matter what they say about LV bags, the value still depreciates over time kahit ipa-frame mo pa yan
ReplyDeleteLV bags are expensive because matibay and tested over time. sulit, it's worth the value of your money but it's not investment. they are different
tama if youre gonna buy an LV or any other expensive item it should be because of its durability...
who said it was an investment?
Deletewrong, maybe at this time they have not appreciate in value, depende yan sa pag gamit mo ate.. some lux item do appreciate (aka channel purses) they become classic and some people do want to collect these items.
DeleteAnon 12:55 PM, make reading a habit. basahin na magmuli ang BI.
Maybe pag binili mo ang bag ngayon ng 60K after 5 years baka 70K na yung brand new. So ikaw you can resell it at 50k if properly taken care of.
DeleteAnon 1225 - it is an investment. I bought preloved bags on 2015/2016 and the value as of now skyrocketed given that LV just had a drastic price increase twice. The ones i bought @ 5k to 10k (pochettes) are now being sold at a minimum 15k to 40k, depending on the condition.
DeleteMga ate believe it or not there are a lot of fake luxury bags in Italy. I was there last December and was shocked to see/know that they're selling it on the streets. So if they tell you na ung bags are from Italy better think twice. I'm not saying lahat ng galing sa Italy fake but there's a possibilty na mabiktima ka na bumili ng fake. So better have it LC sa existing stores in the Philippines to avoid being a victim.
ReplyDeleteLesson learned to you letter sender better buy lux bags na lang sa stores mismo para maiwasan na yung ganyan scenario.
Yes, Italy and other fashion capitals have fakes/replicas that are extremely well made. Check an old episode of Sex in the City where Samantha bought a fake Fendi bag.
DeleteItaly is notorious for counterfeit items.
Deleteinstead of buying bags that last for years ehy not donate to charity and see faces of childrens with smiles and they will treasure that experience a lifetime now that a investment to make people happy
ReplyDeletefriendly fashion reader
pwde namang pareho di ba?
Deleteyou go first
Deleteat least you got your money back, other scammers wouldn't do the same thing
ReplyDeleteif you are going to buy a luxe item, you have to buy it from the store that carries the brand! why on earth would you buy from a private individual with so much money at stake??!!! if there are no stores in manila that carry a certain brand you like, you can always buy it overseas. the logic behind this is that if you can afford to buy a brand which is not sold in manila, then you can certainly afford to go shopping overseas. if you cannot afford to go abroad, that means you are spending beyond your means.
ReplyDeleteAgree!
DeleteTama! If it's a "want",you should have enough excess means to get it.
DeleteLike + 1
Deletewhy? because its my money
DeleteExactly!!!
As long na wala kang tinatapakang tao at pera mo ang pambili mo. At sa paglagay ng picture ng fake at original, i think makakatulong pa to sa mga fake manufacturer to improve their class A bag. And when in doubt, don't buy it. Lahat na ata ngayon may fake counterpart basta may demand. At sa gustong magdonate sa needy, bless you and sana marami kang matulungan.
ReplyDeletetumpak!
DeleteWell said!!!!
I do the same. I buy bags at Goodwill. Saka, I went to the Philippines for a vacation last July at wala akong dinalang designer bags, jewelry o mamahaling gamit.
Deletel**he! fake talaga ung nabili ko! bweset!
Sit down and look around. Try all the bags. Walk out with the LV bag inside a big LV paper bag na makikita lahat ng tao.
ReplyDeletehee hee so true!
Deleteng LV bag mo.. luluhod pa yung sales staff para buksan yung kahon ng LV ..may libre pang ice tea hehe.i also got mine monogrammed in gold
They have arrived! :)
Overrated an overpriced yang bag na yan.
Love your comment! (They have arrived). Have to agree, too many Filipinos think that having LV bags mean 'they have arrived'. This doesn't prove anything.
DeleteI don't see anything wrong with buying expensive bags as long as pera mo naman. Ako may part time job, and I admit gusto ko makabili ng MK bag o tory burch, etc. At tsaka kung may pambili ka naman, why not buy directly from the store? Anyways, lesson learned for you te.
ReplyDeleteCan't really be bothered by the writer buying in installment. To each his own. What is despicable to me, despite the technology age and Google being accessible everywhere, ay naloko pa siya. If she deems these bags "investments" isn't but proper to research well about that venture before anything else? Just like any business venture, no matter how lucrative it maybe, if not thought and learned off well malulugi ka lang. So miss, just look at the situation as a really bad investment, move on and learn from your mistakes.
ReplyDeletefreedom from materialism and a lot of content will save you from these.
ReplyDeletebuti ibinalik nya kasi kung hindi, you could hold her criminally liable. pwede sya mademanda for estafa. kulong yun.dapat nga maganda kung may magdemanda rito na nagantso nya, para madala lahat ng mga nagpepeddle ng pekeng bags.
ReplyDeletelet those who want to buy luxury bags, buy them. it doesnt matter kung in cash or installment, as long as they can pay them. i understand why they like LV's, aside from them being pretty and bagay sa lahat ng outfit mo, it gives them confidence din.
ReplyDeleteParang kilala ko yung re seller, her name is C, she leaves in qc also. To the the victim of the reseller, is she half filipino half foreigner?
Deletei thought everyone know that LV does not authenticate and also there is no FACTORY outlet ever anywhere in the world. kaya nga ang gucci's bag depreciates a little comapred to LV coz gucci does have outlet stores where they sell discounted bags but of a lesser quality than the boutique stores at the mall
ReplyDeleteHindi lang may outlet ang gucci. Nagsesale talga ang gucci boutique stores 2x a yr. but limited styles lng ng bags.
So Technically merong Factory outlet na may LV store.
Deleteang essence ng outlet store is the cheaper price kasi nga old season normally stocks ..if its the same price then its not a factoy outlet
DeleteAccording to an accountant of the group of stores taht carries LV here, hindi nagssale ang LV. And if tapos na yung 'season' for some items, tehy go to a place where they burn all these goods, tapos nakapalibot yung pulis para hindi ka kumuha.
ReplyDeleteWell the brand is actually masstige aka prestige for the mass. Kaya yung mga nagsasabi ng social climber, get a life. As for buying second hand from resellers. First, make sure I research nyo muna ang tunay na itsura ng bag at tahi. Sa tahi nagkakatalo talaga. Bilang ng stitch at quality. And then kung aligned yung mga pattern ng connections. Tapos if luma na sya and hindi nag develop ng patina it means fake sya. Tipong brand new karamihan. Kaya I suspect they're Japan super fakes. So beware!
ReplyDeleteAng tanong sino ang nasa blind item? Any clues..? Sino c C?
ReplyDeletethe only thing i noticed is that the fake is more pale than the real one.
ReplyDeletehehehe
and the real is more detailed.
and the sheet is long.
only that.
hehehe
This happened to my friend too! , may store sa greenhills selling 2nd handbags, yun ibang fake mixed with real ones. :(
ReplyDeleteKhit 100 pcs. P ang bag mo walanv pkiaalam ang mga tao as long n hnd galing sa masama and kaua mong tustusan ang luho mo. Never n nag sasale lv khit sa paris..
ReplyDeleteSaan ba mas mura ang LV bags, HK or SG? When I went to HK and SG, I didn't like LV bags, so, I didn't bother to check the stores. Pero now, I like to buy LV wallets.
ReplyDeleteIf the price is too good to be true, it could be fake. Sorry to hear your story. I have customers asking for boxes, dust bags, lock and keys, receipts. Let's face it you can easily get cards and receipts. Boxes for maybe 2,000-3,000 and dust bags for about 1,000. What's more important is the bag you buy should be authentic. Buy from reputable sellers (I sell on eBay with a Power Seller status with no negative feedback). Remember don't let your hard earned money go to waste!
ReplyDeleteVery good post. I am experiencing some of these issues as well..
ReplyDelete
