I agree. The facial expression doesn't have the right emotion. She just looks sad. She doesnt have to smile or anything but there's no "attitude" in the pose. Love the clothes though.

Dislike! Super photoshopped face. Kris isn't that skinny. You can see that everyday on Kris TV. They should have let her real shape show. She's not mataba naman, but don't make her look supermodel thin dahil hindi yan makatotohanan. Mga echosera talaga ang mga magazines na to!
I love her outfit! Florals are my bet now hehee. Looks 20-ish in terms of age. Uhmmm, it looks too-young for her, I guess. But as they said, fashion is ageless too so wth! Hehe. :)

Dun sa Jan2009 issue medyo tamed ng konti, pero it did not enhance her natural beauty.. Compare it with her Metro & Kris Aquino magazine covers.. Di ba mas simple, pero mas maganda.. Actually malaki na inunlad ni Kris mula nung hindi na kay Bambbi Fuentes ang makeup nya, I think kay Juan Sarte na? Kasi yung kay Bambbi naku ang kilay nya, baliktad na Nike swoosh ang peg. At least ngayon medyo swoosh nalang!

at first I was like "FINALLY! A GAY GUY MADE THE COVER OF PREVIEW!!" because I honestly thought it was Vice Ganda. (although Tim Yap was already in the cover years ago). albeit the fact that every magazine cover today is photoshopped, yung conformed matchy-matchy pastel palette and androgynous masculine styling and pose makes it another mediocre fashion magazine cover. MEH!

The Vice Ganda look was very well achieved in this shoot. Kris and Vice look like twins. What's with the floral English fashion? Is it because it is the 1st wedding anniversay of Will and Kate?
No offense but is she wearing "flower camouflage"? She can well blend in with the sofa and the drapes. Who's the designer of this god-awful hideous clothes? Doesn't give any justice to the model. Sorry, this is not a style, it's just plain GAUDY! Ayaayaay!

laki ng ulo nya sa first picture.. was it because of the big eye-make-up?! di bumagay sa katawan at damit nya.. though her facial pose is a new thing. i like the succeeding photos rather than the first one to be the cover.. hindi me bibili ng magazine na yan kung ganyan kalaki ang ulo nya :P
I'm definitely bothered by the eyes. Also with the hair. Kris pa naman has really nice hair. Why did they put it that way? And the pose? So BLEH. Art director must be fired also aside from the stylist.
I agree with most of the readers' comments, kahawig ni Vice. Di ko type ung facial expression nya parang tinanong ng Miss Universe question na di alam ang isasgot.
The make-up is Adele inspired thats why it is that heavy look. and Floral is the trend that is why fashion magazines uses floral for the cover. If you want to know what is the trend visit Zara stores, they are fashion forward and trendsetter store. They know what is in.
This is very tasteful and refreshing. Something new for Kris. I think Liz Uy is a good stylist (if she is the stylist). Not afraid to go beyond the conventional. She was even able to transform Shalani and made her look very elegant.

Her brother is the current head of the land, her mother was once our President and Ninoy, her father has quite built a heroic rep for all of us Filipinos. Her countrymen would still like to see Kris as a lady that exudes charm, wit and "reachable".

i loove! bambi eyes. if ever looks like vice ganda, well what can i say, vice looks a lot better than some of our females in showbiz. he certainly puts more effort on how he looks than most of our female celebrities. he knows how to look, dress, act like a diva; no wonder he IS diva-level, unlike most local female celebrities. no one is really noteworthy. for me, not even anne curtis although maganda siya, she doesn't have marian's dating. feeling ko nga if di nagmaldita si marian, anne would never have had the vacuum marian left to fill in. if kris were thinner, she could pass for a diva. gretchen's diva-licious but. . . ruffa too. but none of the younger ones put in enough effort, really. kris has a beautiful face and this here is one of her best photos. it's different, she's never been styled like this before, and she manages to look striking and underestated all at the same time. her clothes shout "look at me" but her hair/makeup say, " . . .but don't touch." An understated Kris was an oxymoron before. but in this shoot, it was executed perfectly. Kris is usually so J.Lo, here she's so Princess Kate.
Argh wrote something but nawala. I love Kris here. I'm not a big Kris A. fan but have always thought she's got a beautiful face. She's got bambi eyes/mysterious/dignified look. She's usually more J.Lo but here she's Princess Kate. Her clothes here shout "Look at me!" But her eyes/hair/makeup add " . . .but don't touch." An understated Kris would have been an oxymoron before. But in this shoot, it was perfectly executed.

If I have to compare this Kris' look to her previous magazine covers na laging nakalugay ang hair with the usual make-ups and dresses like what she wears on her tv shows, this one looks different in a nice way naman, and refreshing kasi bago sa paningin ko 'tong look nya... From 1-10 (10 being the highest), i'll rate this 8. Peace! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm definitely bothered by the eyes. Also with the hair. Kris pa naman has really nice hair. Why did they put it that way? And the pose? So BLEH. Art director must be fired also aside from the stylist.

ReplyDeleteThe make-up is Adele inspired thats why it is that heavy look. and Floral is the trend that is why fashion magazines uses floral for the cover. If you want to know what is the trend visit Zara stores, they are fashion forward and trendsetter store. They know what is in.

ReplyDeleteThis is very tasteful and refreshing. Something new for Kris. I think Liz Uy is a good stylist (if she is the stylist). Not afraid to go beyond the conventional. She was even able to transform Shalani and made her look very elegant.

ReplyDeleteHaha.. akala ko si Vice Ganda yun cover... I don't like it. While it exudes a fresh/comtemporize Kris, there should really be a limitation given the image that she projects. Her brother is the current head of the land, her mother was once our President and Ninoy, her father has quite built a heroic rep for all of us Filipinos. Her countrymen would still like to see Kris as a lady that exudes charm, wit and "reachable".

ReplyDeletebakit naman kamukha ni vice ganda eh ang pangit non. kahit make-up-an mo mukha pa ring bakla. unang tingin pa lang kris na kris na eh. me diprensya na siguro mga paningin nyo. saka yan ang concept eh! maganda naman... parang showing the other side of kris. wala lang kayong masabe o mai-pintas. saka bagay sa kanya mga isinuot nya. kayo kaya bagayan ng ganyang floral na damit? baka mag mukha kayong kurtina. ke kris, sosyal ang dating. congrats preview & congrats kris! i like it... :D
ReplyDeletei loove! bambi eyes. if ever looks like vice ganda, well what can i say, vice looks a lot better than some of our females in showbiz. he certainly puts more effort on how he looks than most of our female celebrities. he knows how to look, dress, act like a diva; no wonder he IS diva-level, unlike most local female celebrities. no one is really noteworthy. for me, not even anne curtis although maganda siya, she doesn't have marian's dating. feeling ko nga if di nagmaldita si marian, anne would never have had the vacuum marian left to fill in. if kris were thinner, she could pass for a diva. gretchen's diva-licious but. . . ruffa too. but none of the younger ones put in enough effort, really. kris has a beautiful face and this here is one of her best photos. it's different, she's never been styled like this before, and she manages to look striking and underestated all at the same time. her clothes shout "look at me" but her hair/makeup say, " . . .but don't touch." An understated Kris was an oxymoron before. but in this shoot, it was executed perfectly. Kris is usually so J.Lo, here she's so Princess Kate.

If I have to compare this Kris' look to her previous magazine covers na laging nakalugay ang hair with the usual make-ups and dresses like what she wears on her tv shows, this one looks different in a nice way naman, and refreshing kasi bago sa paningin ko 'tong look nya... From 1-10 (10 being the highest), i'll rate this 8. Peace! :)
