Being young is one of the most exciting stages of one’s life. However, not all youths follow the same path, and thus, the days of being young dictate the future of their lives. For example, when talents enter showbiz at an early age, their goals are to establish a career and/or earn a living or to live like YOLO with the money they will be earning. Usually, the ones who do not have showbiz connections are torn between the two goals but newbies who have ties with showbiz personalities sometimes take their opportunities for granted.
When Newbie Talent (NT) entered a talent search, eyes were on her as she used a name synonymous to Her Elder (HE). HE was a promising actor who have everything at his fingertips, such as money, career, box-office hits, and love life. However, things turned out badly when HE realized that falling in love with a Young Actress (YA) needed more than what he could give, especially when her family intervened in their young love affair. Since his separation from YA, HE was never the same again and he lost everything. Worse, he got into vices that landed him behind bars.
Thus, when NT was introduced, things seemed optimistic and even if she were not that close to HE, former fans of HE were happy. Finally, HE has something positive happening in his life. NT was welcomed and given a break out of respect for HE. NT only had to prove herself worthy so as not to be dismissed as one of those personalities who only relied on showbiz connections for a career.
Nonetheless, NT is getting people worried, as she seems to have a reputation in her non-showbiz world that could be detrimental to her career. Allegedly, NT is indulging in activities that got HE in trouble years back and HE is still paying for such misdemeanor. Rumors have it that NT is into the usual stuff teens like to explore, but in her case, the drinking and smoking might be a bit excessive. Worse, NT is fond of getting into the prohibitive matter, according to the grapevine. Her indulging into such bad choices made her skip a gig because she had a hangover and at one time, she was even thought to be drinking while of the set of a project.
While all these activities seem to be normal for teens, NT might be carrying things so far. With the lifestyle comes the hanging out with boys from exclusive schools, which is giving her a reputation of someone trying to climb up the social ladder.
Sadly, if NT does not shape up, her chance of redeeming the family name will be nil and that goes the same for her building a career in the industry. With many talents waiting in the wings, NT can be replaced anytime by someone who has less social baggage and willingness to focus on one’s career.
