Making a Smarter Move

Everything was set. The location was fixed, the lights and cameras were set, and the actor had briefed the actors on the scene. However, everyone was jittery because Lead Star (LS) was making them feel that she was not inclined to do her scenes immediately. The crew was already in a quandary because LS had not left the room assigned to her and had already missed out on mingling with her co-actors.

As time passed, LS was still making herself unavailable and no one dared to worsen the situation by asking her to shape up. LS was a bankable star and the crew did not want to earn her ire. After all, even if they report that she can be such a problem on the set, her fans will not at all believe them. Her image was far too set to the point that her fans believe her to be perfect. One negative comment on LS will result in a swarm of wrath coming from her numerous followers.

Time was ticking and the taping was not moving because LS was in her attitude. Every delay was causing money and productions do have a deadline. Finally, someone had a bright idea. Someone knocked on the door of LS and told her that Big Boss (BB) was coming over to check on their taping. After a few minutes, LS came out and in character. The crew was elated and the taping started. Hours passed and the taping went on smoothly. However, no BB showed up because the story was merely made up to get LS going.

Even if LS thinks she is intelligent, people who have been in the entertainment industry would be wiser. Considered young in the business, as compared to her contemporaries, LS seems to know how to make the people behind the scenes that she is important. Of course, the crew could only keep the truth as they know that remaining silent on the attitude of LS is the best way to keep their jobs.
