The Great Pretender
One of its mainstays is a Celebrity Performer CP. Her job gets her to be with the final Set of Candidates SC who will be together throughout the entire duration of the PS. As such, each SC gets to see CP and the Other Mainstays OM of the program up close on a regular, face to face basis.
Each taping day of PS is a monumental task for the whole production team. Nothing is compromised when it comes to details and logistics to come up with a flawless product to be shown each episode. Taping takes so many hours with no room for mistakes, making sure that all participants do their part to stick to the show's format and implementation.
CP and OM get to mingle with the SC’s for a long period and expectedly, friendships develop as a matter of course. SC's can only be thankful for the privilege to be with the likes of celebrities CP and OM.
Now that PS would be on tv once again, past PS Winners PW were called in and given special participation for the show's preliminary/initial episodes.
Before taping started, OM's did welcome the PW's with open arms and were excited like long lost friends. Needless to say, it was a pleasant surprise for the PW's. They were all humbled by the OM's gesture of welcome – except for CP!
PW's wouldn't know how to react or behave whenever CP was around as she would make them feel that they don't exist, behaving like she doesn't know anyone of them. Once again, CP displays what she is really made of whether in or out of the house.

The video of the prank, which was uploaded on YouTube by producer Tootoots Leyesa, shows a couple browsing items at the Van Gogh Is Bipolar restaurant.
According to the introduction shown in the video, the footage was taken "on the evening of 23 November 2013."
The set-up: an armed man being chased by the police, played by film actor Leon Miguel, goes inside the restaurant and takes the boyfriend hostage. "Faced with the possibility of dying, the hostage had one simple wish," the introduction read.
Taken from two angles -- one from the restaurant's CCTV camera and another from a hidden camera -- the video shows the chilling skit of a violent hostage-taker shouting and cursing at the pleading man
"Damay-damay na 'to, [expletive]," the irate hostage-taker says as he tugs at the man's collar.
"Wala naman kaming ginagawa sa inyo, eh," protests the hostage, who is sitting on a chair. "Kakain lang kami, o. Bigyan niyo man lang ako ng pagkakataon... Hindi ko pa nga napapakasalan 'tong girlfriend ko, eh."
The man's pleading gets a violent reaction from the suspect.
Although not seen as she is seated in a corner of the restaurant, the woman is heard telling her boyfriend to stop talking. "Babe, huwag ka na magsalita!"
The boyfriend, however, continues, "Gusto ko lang pakasalan 'yung girlfriend ko! Huwag ganito!"
The suspect then appears to push the man towards his girlfriend. Still in character, the hostage-taker hands the man a ring and allows him to propose.
The boyfriend quips, "Puwede bang hulugan 'to?"
He continues, now addressing his girlfriend, "It has been a roller coaster ride for the past four, five years for us... I don't know the perfect timing for this, but I think right now is the right time for this -- to ask you: Will you be my partner in case of a zombie apocalypse?"
"May I have the honor to be your husband? Will you marry me?" the man asks, now kneeling on the floor in front of his girlfriend.
Wiping tears as she laughs, the woman says yes.
A number of men, who appear to be accomplices in the prank, then emerge as they applaud and congratulate the newly engaged couple.
"Ang galing niyo umarte!" says the woman, still wiping tears.
As of writing, the YouTube video of the proposal had over 5,000 views.
Leyesa, the producer of the video, told ABS-CBNnews.com in an e-mail on Wednesday that the couple, therapist Calvin Leorna and kids' yoga teacher Annabelle Jay-Ar Trono, have been together for over four years.
They are planning to get married in late December.

Please Keep It Clean

They then turned to getting the services of a once Popular Personality who had moved into a new career when hosting offers were slowly getting scarce. PP thus accepted UH's offer to host its corporate event. Expectedly, his talent fee was the lowest from the others who were previously considered - a fair amount at least.
Apart from the fee, UH provided PP with free hotel accommodation so he could rest before and after the event. The event went well and PP had a good time. The next day, it was time for check out and PP's departure. Hotel staff sent PP well wishes and thanked him.
However, when the staff went to his room for the clean-up, they were reportedly shocked by what they saw. PP's room was unbelievably dirty, his sheets were all soiled and muddy (?). They couldn't begin to think where the mud came from. The sheets were also littered with several strands of genital hair. PP even left a pair of socks that smelled oh so foul like no other. The staff just couldn’t believe their eyes - and nose - at such revelation.
Certainly, it was not the kind of image that they have of PP. Although he maybe past his prime, PP is still considered a celebrity, hence the staff kind of expected a more pleasant personality of him.
Oh well, stories like this sometimes become understandable if you consider the person's history. Could PP be still living the life he had not too long ago? Your guess might be as good as mine.

Not a Jaded Voyager
HH's new management now inspires him more with great promise. While he comes from a clan of showbiz personalities, HH says he wants to establish and make a mark by himself. After all, he knows he has great potentials early on. Apart from it, he is a professional, humility personified - some dying traits in the industry - and that is taking good looks aside.
Is it for the above reason why girls swoon over him? He had been rumored to be romantically involved with a number of beautiful women, the latest of which is reportedly a Sexy Actress SA who recently broke up with a cute beau with HH being accused as the 3rd party. Yet HH seems to be the least bothered. As far as he knows, girls pursue him more than he does. Yes, the gentleman also knows when to bite if needed.
When HH got a number of projects with a previous network, there were talks that a Top Executive was behind his clinching some good projects back then. Supposedly, it through the immense kindness and generosity of TE who took a special ' liking' of HH and really took care of him. Notwithstanding the benefits he gained, HH went for the quiet set-up with TE.
Once during a drinking session with friends, he was reportedly so tactless and went overboard when he said that it was better going for TE rather than be choosy since he knows that he is not as blessed down there anyway.
Indeed , such humility as its finest. Yet one of HH's exes had only nice words for him. She quipped that HH may not be that gifted but he definitely made up for it with his superior skills. Hey, who cares about size anyway if such a pretty face is a performer far excellance? Do you?
" Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work."

Manny Pacquiao: It's Earned Money, Not DAP or PDAF
WHY ME? Professional boxer and Sarangani Rep Manny Pacquiao cries foul over a Court of Tax Appeal order to freeze his bank accounts. File photo by Rappler
Source: www.rappler.com
Pacquiao said the tax bureau ordered his bank accounts frozen due to a P2.2-billion tax evasion case, leaving him financially paralyzed.
"This is harassment," the former eight-division world champion said in a television interview.
The disclosure came just two days after Pacquiao, 34, resurrected his boxing career with a unanimous points decision over Rios in Macau.
He dedicated his victory to victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan), which claimed thousands of lives in Visayas region this month.
Pacquiao arrived in the Philippines Tuesday, November 26 and immediately addressed the tax issue in a statement released to the media.
In his statement, he hit back calling BIR's accusations "baseless."
"The BIR claims I earned more than what I actually did, without any evidence to back it up. They ignored information given by Top Rank and HBO and insisted I earned more," he said. "My lawyers have given them all the info that they want and they still refuse to believe. I really don't know why I am being singled out."
Pacquiao asked the Court of Tax Appeals to lift the bank freeze, but the court has yet to rule on the petition, according to court papers.
'Not DAP or PDAF'
Pacquiao, who is on his second term as Sarangani representative, compared his situation with the legal scrutiny being faced by public funds.
"Hindi ako makapag-withdraw ni isang singkong sentimo sa sarili ko pong pera. Hindi ko magamit para man lang makatulong. Ang pera kong ginarnish ng BIR ay hindi po nakaw at hindi po PDAF (Priority Development Assistance Fund) o DAP (Disbursement Acceleration Program). Ito po ay galing sa lahat ng suntok, bugbog, pawis at dugo na tiniis ko sa boxing," he added.
(I cannot withdraw even one cent of my own money. I can't even use it to help. My money that was garnished by the BIR was not stolen, it's not PDAF or DAP. It came from all the punches, sweat and blood that I endured in boxing.)
The Supreme Court earlier declared lawmakers' PDAF, the subject of a multibillion scam, as unconstitutional. Meanwhile, the court is presently hearing oral arguments for DAP, the executive's economic booster scheme.
'Only P1M was frozen'
BIR chief Kim Henares confirmed that bank accounts of Pacquiao and his wife were frozen.
However, she denied any harassment, saying only two bank accounts containing a total of P1.1 million were held.
She said she issued a warrant of distraint and levy after Pacquiao failed to pay his liabilities. "We wrote banks and told them if you see his money, tell us how much and garnish that amount," she said in a radio interview.
She said out of 22 banks they wrote, only two reported holding accounts owned by the boxing champ.
"Our presumption is there's no other money that's been garnished except for that P1.1 million. The banks should have reported it to us if they are in fact holding money in custody for the government."
The amount is measly considering the huge winnings Pacquiao takes home from his boxing matches.
Asked where he could be keeping the rest of his money, Henares replied: "Ay hindi ko alam sa kanila. Posibleng na-withdraw na bago na-garnish. O kaya ang pera n'ya ay wala dito, nasa America or nasa ibang bansa." (We don't know with them. It's possible he already withdrew his money before we ordered it garnished. Or maybe his money's not here, it's in the US or some other country.)
Tax case
The freeze order stemmed from a P2.2-billion tax case filed by the tax bureau against Pacquiao.
BIR claimed Pacquiao failed to declare his winnings from his 2008 and 2009 boxing matches in his income tax returns for said years.
But the boxing icon said he already paid taxes on those earnings in the US, which has a treaty with the Philippines that allows citizens of both countries to avoid double taxation.
He said the tax bureau rejected the documents he provided to prove he had already paid the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
"I am not a criminal or a thief. I am not hiding anything. I will face my problems as they come," Pacquiao said.
"I have already paid my taxes in America. Had I not paid the correct taxes they (US authorities) would have come after me and I would not have been able to travel there."
Henares said that taxes paid in the US are creditable here, but she stressed a proper process of filing must be followed.
"Kailangan i-report lahat ng kita mo, tapos ko-kompyutin ang tax sa Pilipinas. Tapos no'n pwede mong ibawas ang binayad mong buwis sa America pero dapat may evidence na nagbayad ka sa IRS." (All earnings must be reported in the Philippines and your taxes will be based on that. After that, taxes you paid in the US will be deducted provided you have evidence that you indeed paid the IRS.)
Henares said Pacquiao failed to submit the proper documents.
She said the bureau gave him two years to respond to their assessment but all he submitted was a letter from his US promoter Top Rank saying he had paid his taxes in the US, according to Henares.
"Anyone can write that. That's not official document," she noted.
President Benigno Aquino's spokesman Herminio Coloma brushed off suggestions Pacquiao was being singled out for political harassment.
"We are a government of laws, not of men," Coloma told reporters.
The government has been running a campaign against high-profile tax evaders, targeting movie stars as well as businessmen who flaunt their wealth through flashy sports cars.
Donations for Yolanda victims
Pacquiao said most of his cash was kept in his Philippine bank accounts. He did not say how much was garnished.
He said the freeze order left him without money to pay his staff, and forced him to borrow "not less than one million pesos" to fulfill pledges to help victims of Typhoon Yolanda.
Pacquiao is now eyeing more lucrative fights in the US as he continues to pursue a political career.
At his peak, he was regarded as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, becoming the only man to win world titles in eight weight divisions.
The former street kid who ran away from home to pursue a boxing career became one of the globe's wealthiest athletes.
But his career nosedived after suffering two losses last year, the second in a humiliating knockout to Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez that prompted questions over whether the ageing warrior should retire.
But even last year, Forbes magazine listed him as the 14th highest-paid athlete globally with an estimated $34 million in earnings.
