Not Buying Her Eccentric Ways

“Strike while the iron is hot,” goes the cliché. While some showbiz personalities are having a hard time getting endorsements, Haughty Performer (HP) thought that she would be able to get one with her quirks.
Over the years, HP has developed her craft and has made her show her versatility as a drama and comedy performer as well as competent host. With a string of non–mainstream movie hits, HP was able to move away from sidekick roles and gained respect for her talent as well as a horde of fans who patronize her movies.
However, HP’s success got into her head, and her attitude made her lose a very costly endorsement. When the agency approached HP if she could endorse the campaign of a high value client, the representatives were surprised at the attitude of HP. The talent fee was, of course, compatible with the status of HP in the industry.
All the agency wanted was something simple, which was for HP to smile. The agency was stunned when HP said that what they were asking from her was difficult as there are various motivations and types of smile. She cited the need for script or a plan to make sure she smiled properly.
Then, HP said that she would not wear a certain costume, as that would make her a laughing stock. It was just a hat, and still, HP made a big deal out of it. However, the kicker was that HP would wear the hat if there was a corresponding increase in her talent fee.
Finally, the agency decided not to take her as they would not want to deal with so many idiosyncrasies and the possibility of HP demanding more than what they could offer. Instead of a win-win ending, the agency just let HP go. Even if HP attempted to salvage the situation, the agency did not bother anymore.

Grounds for Their Separation

When showbiz personalities have a relationship, very seldom will their fans not have opinions concerning such status. While some fans are vocal about supporting whomever their idol falls in love with, some fans will continue to pine for the former flame. However, when Sheepish Actor (SA) hooked up with Talented Celebrity (TC), only the fans of the latter were supportive of their relationship. What complicated their relationship was the former flame (FF) of SA.
Silently, TC and FF became rivals in their network and in social media. They pretended to be okay, but tensions were felt whenever they were together. People speculated that FF was still not over SA, but FF denied that she was hurting.
As time passed, FF and TC kept cornering good projects and roles. By contrast, SA was no longer as visible on tv, and kibitzers alluded to TC as bad for his career. Nonetheless, their relationship was strong as ever, or so people thought. A few weeks ago, followers of TC noticed that she was no longer posting photos with SA. Thus, the rumors started that they could have broken up.
What could have caused the breakup was similar to what could have caused the separation of SA and FF: SA is a ladies' man. Allegedly, TC found out the truth about the tryst of SA with an older actress (OA) that was quickly denied by their respective camps. During their project, OA was rumored to be fond of SA, but their age gap was often cited as an excuse for such a relationship to happen. When TC confronted SA about it, he denied such allegations.
Since they still have chemistry, a product tapped SA and FF for an endorsement. Although it was supposed to be professional, SA was sending coded sweet messages to FF. Of course, TC caught him. Like a slap on her face, a close relative of SA still prefers FF over TC to the point of arranging and inviting FF over for dinner. Finally, TC called it quits as such events were weighing her down emotionally.
In showbiz, admission of the start and the end of a relationship are often not done publicly unless there was good reason. Often, the males keep quiet and do not reveal anything. In their case, the surprise was sprung when SA admitted it was over. This revelation might have caught TC by surprise, as he did not even try to win her back. Others felt SA was not a gentleman with the revelation, and still, others think it was used to drum up interest in his project.
So, is FF having the last laugh or will she be the shoulder to cry on for TC? We can only speculate, but one thing is sure. Their rivalry will continue as TC and FF will be launching their latest projects within a short span from each other. Will SA be invited to either launch?
