True. The show has bigger problem right now than grammatical errors.
boring, flop, the contestants are not even good and don't let me start with the judges. jusme, wrong choice sila sa mga judge nila ngayon. lahat waley lalo na si kath.
There are also brand guidelines and legal considerations, hindi lang grammar. And it can be considered slang...and while it may be grammatically incorrect, it does not mean it is wrong. Neither does it mean there is necessarily something wrong with it.
This is a filipino telling the PHILIPPINES that their grammar is wrong, at bukod tanging PINAS lang ang mali.
Who cares?? Why is everything make it complicated? Plus that show is boring! May nanonood pa ba niyan? Waley ang mga judges except Donnie. Di bagay si Kathryn at Uge mag judges walang dating
I disagree; we should always stick to basic or standard grammar rules. Otherwise, what’s the point of education? Anyone studying or working in media should understand that mass media carries the responsibility to not only entertain but also educate, promote positivity, and uphold good values.
7:54 Whether you disagree or not, walang kwenta yan because we are talking with branding here. It has nothing to do with grammar rules, education, promoting positivity, or upholding good values or kung anumang ka-ekekan mo. It's all about BRANDING. Check mo kung anong ibig sabihin nyan.
Not sure if tama ang sagot ko but I think it has nothing to do with grammar, it has to do with the sound it makes when you add 's to words ending in s. If we follow the rule, it will be Pilipinas's/Pilipinas' got talent. Kapag binasa mo yan /Pi-li-pinas-ziz/ So hindi smooth pakinggan. Hence, they didn't add 's just like in America's and Britain's.
12:33 To answer your question girl, oo.Pilipinas with 's is read as Pilipinas-es even Fashion Pulis' is Polis-es. Marami pa akong gustong ibigay na example but you can check it yourself. Hindi mo ba napag-aralan yan noong elementary? Saang mundo ka galing?
Ganyan ang correct way to read 12:33 sa maniwala ka at sa hindi or kahit saang universe ka pa galing. Hence, they removed the ‘s. Even yung Max’s Restaurant, it’s pronunced as MAK-SES.
12:33 nakakain ka tuloy ng humble pie sa mga FP 😃 now you know, ganyan lang yan share and learn a thing or two para lumawak pa knowledge. If I were you I will skip the saan planeta or mundo intro if you are not sure of your argument .
But it doesn't align na sa branding nila- America's, Canada's, Britain's. Again, it's not about the 's but the sound when you say the title. Gets mo ba yung point 1:33?
For the clout si teh. May pa-“fight me” pa siyang nalalaman. Gusto talaga ng engagement. May tamang lugar sa pagninitpick ng grammar. Sorry to say, nasa maling lugar siya. The argument is totally irrelevant.
Haaayyy, so cringey! Just visit the comment sections of Straits Times, CNA, etc.
Kathryn and Donny walang dating. Ayan flop tuloy
Thanks for the enjoyable grammar insight! It’s unfortunate that this generation seems to create their own words without much regard for correctness. Terms like "sumasuccess," "dasurv," "unkabogable," and others have become more common.
Creating own words is another story and there's nothing wrong about that. Part yan ng language evolution. And wag ka masyadong mag-alala kasi certain group of people lang naman ang gumagamit ng mga ganyang salita so hindi siya serious threat. Gaya mo, if you place high regard to correctness, you wouldn't use those words in written and spoken communication, right?
regardless of the name, it a boring show
ReplyDeleteTama ka nmn. Boring ang show.
Deletetrue and this season is a major flop
DeleteTrue. The show has bigger problem right now than grammatical errors.
DeleteBoring. Even the loveteam test could not save the show
It should be "it's or it is a boring show"... Lol
DeleteWhy bother at this point? That talent show format does not sell anymore. Not even the love team culture can save it.
DeleteToo much noise over nothing.
DeleteThe franchise was approved. Hindi naman stupid yung mga nag-approve they have reasons for it.
boring, flop, the contestants are not even good and don't let me start with the judges. jusme, wrong choice sila sa mga judge nila ngayon. lahat waley lalo na si kath.
Delete“Tama ang buong mundo tapos inly the Philippines got it wrong” aba natural kaya nga Pilipinas eh🤭😂😂😂 parangvtung divirce lang taposnnga feel na feel pang magagaling sila🤣🤣🤣🤣
ReplyDeleteHaha true. Bida bida kasi pilipinas haha
Hahaha

ReplyDelete*but let's not make life complicated, sorry sira na phone ko nag ha hang kaloka
Wala kabang ibang magawa? Mag garden ka sir, relaxing un promise.
ReplyDeleteA penoy telling a whole nation who invented english that their grammar is wrong :D :D :D Wow... just wow :) :) :)
DeleteInternational franchise yan. Correct or incorrect, approved yan nung main office
ReplyDeleteHe's actually right.
ReplyDeleteWho cares?? Why is everything make it complicated? Plus that show is boring! May nanonood pa ba niyan? Waley ang mga judges except Donnie. Di bagay si Kathryn at Uge mag judges walang dating
ReplyDeleteSino si Donnie?
DeleteIto ba yung DonBelle? Ano ba talaga spelling?
Delete1202, I get it you don’t. Obvious naman sa grammar mo.
DeleteIt's a brand name; it doesn't have to follow standard grammar rules.
ReplyDeleteI disagree; we should always stick to basic or standard grammar rules. Otherwise, what’s the point of education? Anyone studying or working in media should understand that mass media carries the responsibility to not only entertain but also educate, promote positivity, and uphold good values.
Delete7:54 BRAND NAME NGA TEH. Branding. Alam mo ba yun?
Delete7:54 Whether you disagree or not, walang kwenta yan because we are talking with branding here. It has nothing to do with grammar rules, education, promoting positivity, or upholding good values or kung anumang ka-ekekan mo. It's all about BRANDING.

Delete12:33 Yes girl. Kapag binasa mo yung mga salita with 's (apostrophe-s), may extra iz o z. And yes, pulis or police's is read as (poli-siz)
Delete12:33 To answer your question girl, oo.Pilipinas with 's is read as Pilipinas-es even Fashion Pulis' is Polis-es. Marami pa akong gustong ibigay na example but you can check it yourself. Hindi mo ba napag-aralan yan noong elementary? Saang mundo ka galing?
DeleteTinanong ko si chatgpt at same answer kayo. Haha! Awkward daw kasi isulat at basahin kapag Pilipinas’s Got Talent kaya drinop na lang yun ‘s.
DeleteGanyan ang correct way to read 12:33 sa maniwala ka at sa hindi or kahit saang universe ka pa galing. Hence, they removed the ‘s. Even yung Max’s Restaurant, it’s pronunced as MAK-SES.
DeleteYes, may -es/-ses sa dulo. Pero mabilisang stress lang pagbinasa. Like just a millisecond.
DeleteFeeling matalino si 12:33 hahaha. Ayan pahiya ka tuloy.
Delete1233, isa ka pa. Sumama ka kay smiley. Mag-aral kayo.
Delete12:33 James’s is pronounced as (JAYM-ziz). For most singular nouns ending in -s, you still add 's and pronounce an extra -iz sound. Hope this helps!
Delete12:33 nakakain ka tuloy ng humble pie sa mga FP 😃 now you know, ganyan lang yan share and learn a thing or two para lumawak pa knowledge. If I were you I will skip the saan planeta or mundo intro if you are not sure of your argument .
At least dito you stay anon.
Example na pangalan na Chris. Chris’ Got Talent.
ReplyDeleteAs it should be!
Again, it's not about the 's but the sound when you say the title. Gets mo ba yung point 1:33?
Deleteat this point, wala na din may pake kung baguhin pa yung title. it does not change the fact na flop pa din yung show and waley audience impact
ReplyDeletePilipinas's Got Talent talaga pero since S ang ending ng Pilipinas i guess they decided to drop the 's para mas maganda tignan kahit may mali
ReplyDeleteFor the clout si teh. May pa-“fight me” pa siyang nalalaman. Gusto talaga ng engagement. May tamang lugar sa pagninitpick ng grammar. Sorry to say, nasa maling lugar siya.
Host at judges ata talaga nagdadala.
ReplyDeleteKathryn and Donny walang dating.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the enjoyable grammar insight! It’s unfortunate that this generation seems to create their own words without much regard for correctness. Terms like "sumasuccess," "dasurv," "unkabogable," and others have become more common.

Tapos puro we were so entertained ang mga judges. Dapat peg nila yung It's Showtime
DeleteAnuba yan. Pati to pinoproblema
Top Secret daw
DeleteLolito's got a point!
ReplyDeleteOr is it...
Lolito got a point?
This has nothing to do with grammar. It's more on branding plain and simple.
