Meanwhile, Jane J. Basas has assumed the post of president and CEO of Cignal TV, concurrently with her role as the president and CEO of Mediaquest, the holding company of TV5 and Cignal TV.
“We would like to thank Robert for his many years of dedicated service and for steering TV5 and Cignal to its current position of strength,” Basas said.
“We welcome Guido as TV5’s new chief executive. With his proven track record of leadership through service and action, we are confident that he will take TV5 to the next level,” Basas added.
“I look forward to this new challenge, and I am grateful for this opportunity to serve,” Zaballero said. “Marami kaming bagong pakulo dito sa Singko. Siguradong matutuwa lahat ng mga Kapatid natin.”
Zaballero joined the Mediaquest Group as Cignal TV’s Vice President and Head of Marketing in 2013. Over the past decade, he was instrumental in establishing Cignal TV’s present market leadership, growing its subscriber base from 500,000 to 4.3 million as of today.

Song Joong Ki is starting a new family!
On January 30, the actor took to his official fan cafe to share the news with fans.
His letter reads as follows:
"Hello. This is Joong Ki.
Today, I am greeting you because I want to share a promise that is more happy and valuable to me than anything.
I have promised to continue life together with Katy Louise Saunders, who has been by my side supporting me and who I have spent valuable time with while cherishing each other.
She has a kind heart, and she has lived her life passionately. She is a sensible and amazing person to the point that I revere her.
Thanks to her, I am becoming a better person.
We naturally dreamed of creating a happy family together. We have put in much effort to keep each other’s promises, and we are sincerely thankful as a new life has come to us.
And today, based on our deep trust and love for each other, we are on our way back from registering our marriage to begin life as a married couple.
As we are now, the two of us will walk our days ahead beautifully while facing the same direction.
I sincerely thank all the fans who always cherish me no matter what.
Especially following the wishes and support of Ki Aile (Song Joong Ki’s fan club) who provide the greatest strength to me throughout my acting career, I will work to fly higher as an actor and individual with the wings of greater responsibility and passion.
I hope everyone will be happy and healthy until the day I can greet you in person."
Song Joong Ki confirmed that he is in a relationship back in December of last year.

Significant changes are happening in the industry. It seems that gone are the days of tight exclusivity among talents. Previously, a talent of a network was prohibited from guesting in another channel or if a talent needs to, he/she has to ask a lot of permissions. The emergence of digital platforms has contributed to this shift as well.
The public benefits from seeing celebrities on online platforms. Those celebrities talk about their lives, sometimes in line with plugging a project or opening their hearts in response to controversy. Similarly, the talent movement is already embraced by fans. They do have to find new projects if their current management cannot offer them as much.
However, despite various movements of talents and the seeming openness to embrace talents coming from once-deemed as rival stations, a Network Personality (NP) is allegedly exercising influence in blocking Vibrant Figure (VF). NP and VF used to work together but times have changed. They have chosen diverse paths. Although they are not vocal against each other, the grapevine is talking about how VF could not even guest on NP's network. VF has been mum over the rumor despite fingers pointing at NP. The question is still why NP is being accused as the culprit even if NP is not part of management. Perhaps, their friendship then was not true after all.
