They spend most of the year in Dubai, LA, and beyond. Five Belo Babies share what’s on their list when they’re home, and the one stop they never skip.
Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey, Rocio Zobel, Isabelle Daza, Georgina Wilson-Burnand and Liza Soberano spend much of the year outside the Philippines. They know the balikbayan routine by heart: the first meal, the family, the reunions, the photos. We asked them what they make time for when they come home. Every list was different, except for one stop.
Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey: “Only Belo touches my skin”
Pia splits her time between Dubai and Manila, and she saves her skin for home. “I’m very serious when I say that only Belo touches my skin,” she says. “Even when I’m abroad, I don’t visit other beauty clinics. I don’t even get facials elsewhere.” Her Belo Day is booked before she lands, preferably with Dr. Rodnie Valerio at Belo Nexa or Alabang, and it takes up half the day.
So why wait, when she could book a treatment in Dubai or London? “Sometimes they even have the exact same machines. But here’s the thing. Just because a clinic has the same machine doesn’t mean you’re going to get the same treatment. It’s not one size fits all,” she says. “What matters is who’s doing the treatment, how they use the technology, and whether they really understand your skin.” She’s particular about results, too. “I don’t want anything overdone. I want to look like myself. That’s why I stick with Belo. They know my face, they know my history, they know my preferences, and they know when to tell me that I don’t need something.” It shows. On a recent trip to London, she was asked for ID twice. “And I’m 37!” She messaged her doctor right away: “Doc Rodnie, whatever you’ve been doing to me is working because I just got ID’d!” Her verdict? “No wonder Belo is the best aesthetic clinic in the Philippines.”
Rocio Zobel: “I save everything for Belo”
Rocio’s Belo appointments are usually booked before she even lands. “I actually don’t do any of my skin maintenance or treatments anywhere else in the world. I save everything for Belo,” she says. Her go-to combination is Belo AdvaClear, Exosomes and her favorite, the Belo NeuroGlow Facial, done about a week before the parties. “I genuinely think it’s the best way to prepare my skin for the holidays.” Her bond with Belo started with her skin. “A few years ago, I struggled with acne… which left me with quite a bit of scarring on my cheeks. Belo has genuinely helped transform my skin.” That’s why she’s sure of one thing. “When it comes to treating acne, Belo is the best.”
“For me, it’s really all about trust,” she says. “You can find treatments almost anywhere in the world, but finding people who genuinely understand your skin and know exactly how to treat it is a completely different thing.” She was a Belo regular long before any partnership, and that loyalty starts with the people behind the brand, Dr. Vicki Belo and Dr. Hayden Kho. “My relationship with Belo really came from a genuine love and admiration for the brand, but more importantly, for Tita Vicki and Tito Hayden… It came from years of trust, feeling safe and cared for, and genuinely loving the people behind it.” The result? “I know I’m in good hands, and that peace of mind is something I wouldn’t trade.”
Isabelle Daza: Belo, Max’s and a massage
Isabelle keeps it short and sweet. Her must-dos when she’s home: “Going to Belo, eating Max’s fried chicken, walking with friends and getting a massage.” What does she miss most? “The traffic,” she jokes. “My friends and family, of course!” Belo comes first, literally. “The moment I land, I go to Belo.” Her holiday go-tos are Belo Picofix and Exosomes, plus ExoBloom. Why not book somewhere closer to home? “Belo is superior.” And like any true balikbayan, she never comes home without “pasalubong and packages my friends send me to bring home to Manila.”
Georgina Wilson-Burnand: “I’m all about anything that lifts!”
For Georgina, December is “the best kind of chaos,” so she preps early, and Belo has been part of that for years. “I’ve been coming to Belo ever since, so it’s been part of coming home for all these years now. It’s honestly tradition at this point,” she says. “I trust Belo completely… It’s part of the whole homecoming ritual for me.” The holidays start with one booking. “I never come home without booking my Belo lifting and tightening treatments, like the Belo Genesis Lift. It’s how I know the holidays have officially started.” Those go in a few weeks out, then Exosomes and a Renova facial closer to the parties “so my skin is glowing.”
Liza Soberano: Sinigang first, then Belo
Liza is based in LA now, and her first stop is the dinner table. “I really crave authentic Filipino food when I’m in LA. So when I fly home to Manila, I really need my sinigang cravings satisfied.” Most of her trips home are for work, so she gets ready early. “Before it gets hectic, I’ll squeeze in a Belo visit just to get me ready.” Her favorites are the Belo Genesis Lift, the NeuroGlow Facial and AdvaClear. “I was really happy with how much more defined my jawline looked,” she says of the Belo Genesis Lift. After all these years, every visit feels like a little reunion. “Seeing my doctors and facialist feels a little like catching up with old friends.” And like Pia, she values honesty. “They’ll also tell me when I don’t need something, which I love.” Her rule is simple: “I never come home without a Belo appointment.”
Five very different lives, and Belo is on every one of their lists.
Come home to Belo
Notice the pattern? They book before they land, give their skin about a week before the big nights, and let a doctor who knows them make the call. Your visit starts the same way, with a consultation. Your doctor builds a plan around your skin, your goals and the days you have before your flight.
“Every patient has a different schedule this holiday season,” says Dr. Rodnie Valerio, Associate Physician in Belo Medical Group. “Some are flying in for two weeks, some have three parties in one weekend. We look at your skin, your events and how much time you have, then decide together what you need, and what you can skip.”
You’ve spent another year taking care of everyone else. This time, let someone take care of you, right here at home. Don’t wait until you land. Book your Belo appointment before you fly home, and beat the holiday rush.
Call (02) 8819-2356 (+63 2 8819 2356 from abroad), or book a virtual or in-clinic consultation at belomed.com. Belo has clinics in Metro Manila, Pampanga, Cebu and Davao.
