Update: Enchong Dee was able to post bail tonight. A judge was able to process the necessary papers for the actor to leave detention after office hours.
Fashion PULIS source says actor Enchong Dee voluntarily surrendered to the NBI in QC this afternoon in relation to the warrant of arrest issued against him a few days ago. It will be recalled that Dee is facing a 1B case filed by DUMPER Party List Representative Claudine Bautista-Lim for an alleged malicious tweet.
Dee will be detained as the actor surrendered late in the afternoon. No court could thus process the bail.
Dee is facing Criminal Case No. 03(2022) for Libel (RPC Art 353) in rel. to 355 of the RPC in further rel. to Sec 4(c) (4) and (6) of RA No 10175.

BTS’s Jimin was recently diagnosed with acute appendicitis and COVID-19.
On January 31, Big Hit Music stated that Jimin had experienced sudden abdominal pain and a mild sore throat the day before and had gone to the emergency room, where he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and tested positive for COVID-19. He had surgery early on the morning of January 31 and is currently recuperating while receiving in-patient treatment for COVID-19.
Big Hit Music also clarified that Jimin had had no contact with the other BTS members during the infectious stage of COVID-19.
The full statement reads:
"Hello, this is Big Hit Music.
We would like to provide you with the following information regarding the current health status of BTS member Jimin.
Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on January 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for thorough examination, and also took a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis, and was tested positive for COVID-19. He underwent surgery following physician advice early morning on Monday, January 31.
According to the medical staff, the surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating after his procedure. He will be receiving a few days of in-patient treatment for COVID-19 in conjunction with postoperative care. He is currently experiencing a mild sore throat but is making a speedy recovery, and had no contact with the other members during the infectious stage.
The company places the artists’ health as our top priority, and we will do everything we can to aid Jimin in his speedy recovery. We will also diligently cooperate with the requests and guidelines of the health care authorities.
Thank you."
Earlier this month, RM, Jin, and Suga fully recovered from COVID-19 after their diagnoses in late December.
