Cheslie Kryst, who won the Miss USA crown in 2019, is dead after a Sunday morning fall from her high-rise home in New York City ... TMZ has confirmed.
NYPD responded to a 911 call at 7:13 AM to Cheslie's midtown apartment building on 42nd Street. Officers and paramedics responded, but she was pronounced dead on the scene. Police are investigating, but they believe Cheslie -- who lived on the 9th floor -- jumped from high up in the building.
She was last seen on a 29th-floor terrace of the building ... according to the NY Post, which was first to report Cheslie's death.
Just a few hours before she died, Cheslie posted a photo of herself on Instagram with the caption, “May this day bring you rest and peace.”
Kryst took home the top honors at the Miss USA pageant back in 2019 as Miss North Carolina. She was an attorney, and after winning the title, she also worked as a correspondent for Extra.
She used her Miss USA platform to speak out about social and criminal justice reform. She once joined us on "TMZ Live" to discuss that very topic.She reportedly left a note Sunday morning, stating she was leaving all her belongings to her mother. Her family released a statement saying, "Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined."
The family added, "Most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague -- we know her impact will live on."
Cheslie was just 30 years old.

Popularity and expectations demand much from celebrities. With fans seemingly watching every move, a celebrity has no choice but to be mindful of every movement. Once a celebrity errs and someone captures the error, a celebrity has to do damage control. Moreover, celebrities are expected to behave as role models for their fans.
The past decisions of Rising Celebrity (RC) prior to gaining fame are apparently catching up. Before RC found success, Handsome Personality (HP) was in control of her life. HP kept RC in secret as he was smitten. However, they had to keep everything hidden as HP was already committed. The relationship allegedly brought forth a first-born.
Not all secrets can be kept from an Inquisitive Wife (IW). IW found out and opted for the best option. So as not to create scandal, the parties agreed to keep the child away from RC. RC and her child were separated.
Fast forward to a few years later, a happy ending finally happened. The young child was finally reunited with RC, but he is still kept away from the public’s eyes. His privacy is tight and RC is not at all giving any hints on this matter. RC is bent on her firming up her career. Meanwhile, HP has kept a low profile, but whispers are loud that he is still a strong influence in RC’s life.

Where Is Enchong Dee? Authorities Unable to Find Actor at Given Address to Serve the Warrant of Arrest on 1B Cyber Libel Case

In August 2021, DUMPER Representative Claudine Bautista-Lim filed a complaint against actor Enchong Dee for an alleged malicious tweet that was damaging to her character.
“The People of the Philippines vs. Ernest Lorenzo Velasquez Dee a.k.a. Enchong Dee,” was subsequently filed before the RTC of Davao Occidental. As a result, last January 25, 2022, a Warrant of Arrest was issued against Dee in Criminal Case No. 03(2022) for Libel (RPC Art 353) in rel. to 355 of the RPC in further rel. to Sec 4(c) (4) and (6) of RA No 10175.
On January 26, authorities allegedly went to the address on record in Cubao to serve the warrant of arrest against Dee. However, Dee was not there. The said address was that of a boarding house owned by the actor, who was not living there according to neighbors. Authorities are looking for the actor to serve the warrant.
According to the FP source, Congresswoman Bautista-Lim could not be reached for comments.
