Repost: Filipino Canadian Erika Casupanan Wins Survivor 41
Erika Casupanan, 32, emerged the strongest and won the Season 41 of CBS’ reality series “Survivor.”
According to an Entertainment Weekly report Wednesday, Erika won after earning a 7-1-0 vote from the jury, resulting in Deshawn Radden and Xander Hasting’s loss.
Apart from being the first Candian to win the title of “Sole Survivor,” she is also the first woman to win in the competition since Sarah Lacina of Season 34.
“I must be a witch [because] I just broke a curse,” Erika wrote on Twitter with the hashtag #Survivor41.
In a previous interview, Erika said it has always been a dream of hers to be part of the competition, and she is proud to represent both Canada and the Filipino women this time around.
“Survivor,” which premiered in 2000, is a reality competition where castaways are challenged to live and fend for themselves while they live in an isolated place outside. It is hosted by Jeff Probst. — LA, GMA News
