Beautification Fail

The challenge these days for celebrities who capitalize on looks and physique is to keep fit and to make sure that they can appear confidently in front of the cameras at any given time. Even if gyms and fitness centers are closed, many celebrities have uploaded videos showing their workout. The other challenge is to monitor the calorie intake given that the pandemic has increased culinary activities.
On top of the above restrictions, Female Talent (FT) has placed pressure on herself to improve her physical attributes to keep her Partner Actor (PA) interested. The goal of FT is to reach a slim figure that seems to have eluded her. She thinks that the slim figure is the fantasy of PA and she has to achieve it. FT resorted to extreme measures, especially in her diet. FT was suffering. Never mind if her tummy aches, as long as she has the looks.
What FT did not anticipate is the effect on her digestive system, which is a common experience for some people who go on drastic diets. The smell of rot filled the air whenever she spoke. No amount of mouthwash could cover up the odor from her mouth, as the source was from within. Predictably, PA did not like what was happening to FT. Together in their room, they did not wear any facemask and PA could smell FT when they cuddle.
In humorous fashion, PA joked about FT’s breath. FT retorted with a shocking reply, which was PA’s going down on her and that area might even smell worse than her mouth. FT was on a roll. She then commented on rumors of PA’s alleged past activities. PA laughed and did not bother to answer back FT to prevent her from talking.
As PA did not want their bedroom trysts to suffer, he requested FT to wear a facemask so she will not engage him in kissing and he will not smell her breath.

As the conversation deepened, SA admitted that she took on the role, even if she knew she would suffer in scenes with FT, because she owed much to the production. Over the years of being in the industry and various acting assignments, FT’s skills have not at all convinced SA. Their project proved SA’s fear. At a certain point, SA wanted her character killed off to avoid having to adjust to the not-so impressive acting skills of FT. SA knew that she can overwhelm FT in their scenes and thus, she had to adjust and endure.
Meanwhile, SA gave accolades to Another Talent (AT), whom she saw shine during their scenes. SA was optimistic that AT can overshadow FT in the acting league soon. SA lamented that FT’s acting skills remained horizontal from the beginning to the end of their project. SA did not see any improvement with FT’s cringey acting skills.
As SA was sharing her views, PI smiled and gave a surprising remark. PI said that the producers were thinking of casting SA in a new project with FT. Filming will start as soon as guidelines are implemented. SA laughed and said that PI was torturing her with the offer. Nonetheless, SA turned down the project, as she wanted to rest from FT’s acting. Besides, she felt FT drained all her acting juices and she needed to recharge.

Creative Celebrity (CC) is among talents who suddenly found themselves between projects. The network shutdown meant CC’s possible projects were set aside until better times. No one can assure when the pandemic will be over and production people are adjusting to the new normal. CC cannot help but worry, as one is only as good as his/her last project.
To set direction, CC requested her management to scout for possible projects with production houses. Her team reached out to and informed a Production Team (PT) of CC’s availability. CC has followers who are loyal and excited for her projects. PT played safe and replied that the bosses will talk about the possibility of CC joining their group.
When CC was brought up in the meeting of PT, the bosses were not too keen. They preferred to have more reliable talents join them than CC, who lacked consistency. A production is still a business investment and these days, investments are too risky. Moreover, Influential Insider (II) did not mince words for his dislike for CC. II has heard of rumors saying that CC has a diva attitude on the set and has a record for coming late. II raised the possibility of CC becoming a liability instead of an asset for PT. Furthermore, II pushed for the development of their pool of talents, who need to establish their careers and stake in the industry.

Whenever a celebrity is confronted with an issue, he/she has two options, namely, to keep quiet and to answer every accusation. In the case of Chill Talent (CT), whenever his name is dragged in controversy, he chooses the path of less resistance and that means following the advice of his team.
One time, CT was asked if he wanted to react to an interview where his name was mentioned several times. The Source (TS) merely wanted CT to give a few words, as many positive statements were made about him. TS was shocked as CT responded with a mouthful.
CT said that he had no time to watch the interview and besides, he no longer wanted to have anything to do with the past. Further, CT admitted that he was deeply hurt and he felt the persons around him ganged up to make him the villain. He was even called names, which CT felt were unfair to him. While he was pictured as the bad man, he later found out that someone was not honest in that relationship.
CT was not yet done. To continue, he no longer wanted to say anything, as he believed he was just being exploited anew to generate interest in other people’s endeavors. After all, good or bad publicity is still publicity. Meanwhile, TS felt CT woke up on the wrong side of the bed, as nothing negative was in the material CT was asked to react to.

Angel Locsin and Neil Arce are among the many couples whose wedding plans have been affected by the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The celebrity couple have decided to reschedule their November 2020 wedding as they continue to observe how the COVID-19 crisis will unfold in the coming months.
"It's going to be moved to early next year," Arce said in an interview with Metro.Style. "But, of course, it depends on the situation with the pandemic."
The film producer said they have considered going for an intimate wedding as pandemic-induced quarantines continue.
But in the end, they chose to wait for things to get better so they can have a bigger celebration.
"We were thinking, 'Should we do it small?' But that's not us eh. We're friends, we have a group of friends. We want everyone to be there. We want everyone to have fun," Arce said of their wedding, which he wants to be "chill and relaxed."
He went on: "And you know, Angel didn't attend their prom. She didn't have a debut. So this is the only big party she's going to have."
Locsin, for her part, admitted that it is Arce who is more hands-on with their wedding preparations.
"Actually mas bridezilla siya," she said in jest. "Ako kasi yes or no lang, okay o hindi. Ganun lang ako. Pero nahanap na niya 'yun lahat. Iye-yes or no ko na lang sa kanya. Ganun siya."
But with the pandemic affecting their plans, the actress said they have to do everything all over again.
"Kailangan naming ulitin 'yung planning. Tapos na dapat siya eh," she said. "Better na safe ang lahat at confident na walang sakit, so I think best decision namin na i-move na lang 'yung wedding."
'STRONGER'
Meanwhile, Locsin and Arce said the challenges brought about by the pandemic have made them stronger not only as individuals, but also as a couple.
The two have been busy with charity work and other relief efforts, managing to "find ways to fix things" despite their differences.
"We saw na we could work together. We work well together. The things that she needs, that she can't do, I can provide. The things that I can't do or I need, she can provide," Arce said.
Locsin added: "Super supportive niya talaga. At ganito 'yun ah, hindi mo na niyayaya. Hindi ka na nagsasabi, siya lang, biglang darating siya, ganun lang. Kasi medyo ma-pride ako sa mga ganung bagay, asking for help, so nakakatuwa na siya lang talaga ang nagkukusa."
As for her fiancee's bashers saying that "her helping is for show," Arce has this message: "What you see is what you get with her. Almost all of her charity works, she doesn't take pictures of. Nothing. Only if there were people who donated that she has to document."
"With her, there are no hidden agendas, nothing like that. It's just really her," he stressed.
It was in June 2019 when Locsin revealed that she is engaged to Arce after dating for more than a year and being friends for nearly a decade.
