Powerful Personality (PP) only had the best intentions for Handsome Actor (HA), but the end of their discussion was disappointing, but PP was not surprised at all. One day, HA dropped by the office of PP to ask about plans for his career. HA shared his feelings that he might slowly fade away, as new and younger talents are coming in and he has not had a series in a great number of months. While he has films and other projects, having constant exposure in a stable station could bring him a different sense of fulfillment.
Although he has a major project with the management, nothing is sure yet until the cameras start rolling. The said project will depend on his co-stars as well. Thus, HA was in limbo. Then, PP broached the idea of his working with Female Returnee (FR). PP was not even done with her piece when HA said, ‘No!’ PP kept quiet and listened to HA.
Accordingly, HA said he finds FR too negative and he does not want to get into her negative element. He is happy at the moment, but working with FR might pull him into a sad state, as he is unsure of her disposition and his heart has not forgotten the hurt. Things might have been ironed out in public, but HA is not interested in anything that has to do with FR. PP could only understand the sentiments of HA.
A few days later, FR was caught by the press and asked if she would want to work with HA in the future. Without mincing words, FR said, ‘No!’ and said that she does not want to have anything to do with someone who can manage to make himself the victim and turn sentiments in his favor.
No love lost. HA and FR hate each other. PP can kiss away whatever project her team was thinking for bringing HA and FR together. Hoping fans will never get their way any time soon.

Ginebra San Miguel introduced lovely Kapuso actress/TV host Sanya Lopez as the world’s leading gin brand’s 2020 Calendar Girl. The festive media launch held last October 24 at the Novotel in Quezon City revealed Sanya Lopez as “The Island Girl”.

The Ginebra San Miguel Calendar Girl promotion started in 1988. Since then, the special merchandise has become a sought-after item among consumers year after year.
“For 2020 we chose Sanya Lopez as our brand ambassador because she embodies what Ginebra San Miguel represents — courage, resiliency, optimism, and never-say-die spirit. Sanya is truly ‘ganado sa buhay’ as she worked her way up to become one of the most recognizable faces in the entertainment industry today,” says Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI) marketing manager Ronald Molina.
GSMI officials General Manager Emmanuel Macalalag, National Sales and Marketing Manager Allan Mercado and Marketing Manager Ronald Molina formally welcomed Sanya Lopez in a grand toast during the launch featuring her own Ginebra San Miguel cocktail called “Sanya’s Island Mix”, a concoction of pineapple, buko juice and gin.
GSMI has released four calendar layouts representing its array of products including flagship brand Ginebra San Miguel, GSM Blue, Primera Light Brandy and VisMin’s no. 1 Chinese wine Vino Kulafu.

Since being discovered in 2012 by the late German “Kuya Germs” Moreno, GMA star builder, Sanya Lopez has treaded the path to being a serious actress taking on roles that showed off her acting prowess including her portrayal of Hara Danaya in the TV remake of “Encantadia” and in her recently-concluded series “Dahil sa Pag-ibig”. She will soon be seen opposite Superstar Nora Aunor in the film “Isa Pang Bahaghari” directed by Joel Lamangan.
“I consider the challenges and struggles that I went through in life as motivation to never give up in pursuing my dreams. It is my family that inspires me to be ‘ganado sa buhay’,” relates Sanya Lopez. “For me, when you say ‘Island Girl’, you see a woman who is strong and independent,” she adds.
As Ginebra San Miguel’s “Island Girl”, Sanya Lopez will be joining the “Ginuman Fest” tour, the gin brand’s annual series of music festivals that brings together gin lovers around the country as One Ginebra Nation.
To prepare for her Ginebra San Miguel calendar girl shoot, Sanya Lopez went on a no carbs diet. “I only ate fish and chicken. I also did a lot of cardio workout, mostly running, Muay Thai and boxing,” she shares.
She was, likewise, thrilled to be photographed by one of the country’s most talented young photographers BJ Pascual.

The surge in the popularity of the Internet has resulted in social media personalities that have more followers than traditional media celebrities. The popularity meter is based on the number of followers or subscribers, and the more the merrier, of course. Thus, people take advantage of the opportunity to be popular, which translates to revenue for the lucky ones.
However, amassing the followers and maintaining loyalty are not easy to accomplish. Most social media celebrities have discovered their edge or that quality that sets them apart from other online personalities. From that point onwards, an ordinary person’s life can change overnight.
When a Non-showbiz Personality (NP) started building a reputation on the Internet, popularity spread by word of mouth and in response to a certain need of followers. Soon, the social media posts, especially, videos, acquired many likes and testimonies attesting the influence of NP.
Thinking that she is surrounded by fame, NP started making demands at events she joined even though she was just a participant and not a major guest. In one such mall event up north, NP wanted security staff for her. The organizers raised an eyebrow at the VIP attitude of NP. NP said that she needed security to protect her from her anticipation of being mobbed by a crowd. Well, the organizers did not buy into the demand of NP and remained unresponsive. Shouldering additional cost for a specific security detail for NP was out of the question.
On the day of the event, NP showed up, but no security came to guard her. After some time, people started going in and interacting with the participants. As for NP, very few came over to see what she had to offer and the crowd she expected to flock around her was probably part of her imagination. The attitude of NP is no longer surprising, as her idiosyncrasies are slowly leaking in the Internet.
