Moving Away

Every year, this showbiz couple is given a project that would test their reel partnership to delight their fans. The project would show their acting skills and engage the audience in a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Despite seeing the partners in a range of off-beat material, the viewers are happy that the couple are together on screen even for just an hour or so.
However, this year is different. During the planning, the production team asked the couple if they would like to do the annual project together. Female Half (FH) responded in affirmative and said that the plan is fine with her. By contrast, Male Half (MH) said that he would rather not be with FH in a project this time. He allegedly said that he would prefer not to be with FH to avoid stress and controversy that seem to be following them. Pushing the request further, MH said that, if possible, he does not want to be in the same setting as FH. The production team understood and started planning separate projects for FH and MH.
Incidentally, during one occasion, the two almost met outside the studio. The network called for a meeting for a summer special and everyone came, including FH and MH. As soon as the meeting was over, MH stayed a bit longer. He waited until FH had left the building before he took the elevator down to the lobby. He deliberately avoided being seen with FH spontaneously.
The behavior of MH indicates that he is seriously moving away from their partnership, which is the best for their growth as talents. Of course, their fans detest the idea that they will be working away from each other even if separation would mean better career growth. The hope of MH is to regain his identity and that his partnership with FH will soon be relegated to mere memory.

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Patay ang dating road manager ng Kapamilya singer na si Darren Espanto at kaibigan nito sa pananaksak, Lunes ng umaga.
Ayon sa ulat, lumuwas ng Pampanga ang magkaibigang sina Karwin Guevarra at Carmencita Pelayo upang kitain ang kanila ding kaibigan na si Rachel Alabado.
Si Pelayo ang dating road manager ni Espanto.
“May kukunin silang pera. Bali yung bank account nung dalawa doon ipapasok yung pera, ‘yun yung sinabi ng asawa ko,” ayon kay Mark John Hernandez, asawa ni Pelayo.
Sa mismong bahay ni Guevarra sa Barangay Tabun natagpuan ang mga bangkay ng magkaibigan na tadtad ng saksak at may hampas pa sa ulo.
Buhay naman ang kaibigan nilang si Alabado.
“Ang una niyang kwento sa imbestigador, siya raw ay pinalo ng unidentified suspect na-unconscious siya. Nagtulog-tulugan. Pagkagising niya ganun na nangyari. Paniwala ng imbestigador, inconsistent yung ibinigay niyang information. May mga nakitang galos sa kaniyang katawan, sa kaniyang mga kamay, sa kaniyang mga paa, parang self-inflicted,” pahayag ni Police Staff Sergeant, Roldan Tababa.
Ayon sa mga magulang ng mga biktima, matagal nang magkakaibigan ang tatlo. May pagkakautang umano si Alabado sa dalawa, bagay na tinitingnan ng mga pulis bilang anggulo sa pagpatay.
“Tingnan niyo ‘yan, kalakas. Kung may saksak ‘yan makakalakad ng ganyan? ‘Yung anak namin ‘di mo matitingnan talaga,” sabi ng ama ni Pelayo na si Leonardo Sr.
Itinuturing naman ng mga pulis na suspek sa pagpatay si Alabado at inihahanda na ang pagsasampa ng kasong double murder laban sa kaniya.
'NANGINGINIG AKO HANGGANG NGAYON'
Ibinuhos naman ni Espanto sa social media ang kaniyang pagkabigla sa sinapit ng kaniyang "Ate Karen."
"I still couldn’t believe the news of your passing, ate Karen. Nanginginig ako hanggang ngayon kasi 'di ako makapaniwala sa nabalitaan ko. Actually, ayaw ko maniwala sa totoo lang. Sobra kasing masakit. Napakabuti mong tao," sabi ni Espanto sa kaniyang Instagram post.
Sa naturang post ni Espanto, makikita ang masasaya nilang larawan ni Pelayo noong magkasama pa sila.
Para kay Espanto, higit pa bilang road manager ang naging turingan nila.
"You are family to us... You will forever be my “Ate Karen.” I will keep all the memories that we had through the good times and the bad and I will always remember the things you’ve taught me in the past. I love you so much and I’ll keep you close to me heart always," sabi ng binata.

Projecting a Mirage

Fans were shocked and disappointed at the way Harsh Celebrity (HC) reacted to their request for a selfie. HC was rude and unaccommodating even if the fans approached her politely. The alleged incident happened in a public place, where the fans thought it was okay to make the request. Sadly, HC was very different from what they had expected.
As the fans were walking in the mall, they chanced upon HC, who stood out because of her looks. HC could be lined up along with the best-looking actresses in the industry and she would not disappoint. Thus, she was really noticeable and radiant. The fans then bravely approached HC, who was looking over at some stuff. In other words, she was her usual self.
When the fans asked if they could have a photo with her, HC snapped at them. Then, HC said that they were in a mall and she needed privacy. The fans were embarrassed, but nonetheless, relieved, as they finally know for themselves that rumors about HC’s personality are true indeed.
These days, HC seems to be having difficulty in finding the right material for the audience to patronize her projects. While she has tried various avenues to connect with the masses, such as having several social media accounts that make her visible in the Internet, most of her efforts still cannot elevate her from negative perception. With such incident with fans, HC might be giving the impression that everything that is visible about her is just a mirage. The true test of a celebrity is his/her reaction in unguarded moments or when no cameras are around.
