Low Gimmickry

Not everyone can get into international fashion events easily. One has to have a recognized name, which is synonymous to an established reputation and a well-placed network. Moreover, one needs to know who’s who among the guests so as not to appear like a snob or ignorant of the people in the show or in the after-event parties.
If one thinks that a ticket to get into the show is hard, it’s the location of the seat for a show that really spells out if one is made. Sitting in the front row means one is privileged or has the money to pay for such prized tickets. Benefactors do get to be seated in such prime places. Thus, not just anyone can sit on that row. Well, Seat Grabber (SG) tried to pull a fast one in a prestigious fashion event abroad.
SG probably arrived early to the event and scanned the best view for the show that was going to happen in a few minutes. Then, SG decided to take her seat to have a good vantage point. After a few minutes, Fashion Influencer (FI) came over and seemed to be looking at the seat where SG sat and checked out her pass. Politely, FI told SG that she was in her seat.
As the event is not her territory and if she makes a scene, her local and international reputation would be ruined, SG gave in to FI without much fuss. Then, as she moved seats, SG called out to FI and said that they know each other. The reaction of FI was priceless, as she could not at recall where she met SG. Overheard, SG said she and FI bonded over dinner with a friend. FI smiled back, but she could not really put a name to the face.
When SG moved down, FI called her attention to tell her that A Celebrity (AC) would be seated there officially. SG moved further down. Allegedly, SG did not really have a slot in the prime seat location, as she kept moving to the end part of the row. Then, SG started talking to AC, who seemed to be unaware of what game SG was playing. Soon, FI was glancing to the direction of AC, hoping that she would stop talking to someone who seems to be trying to be part of the select group bestowed with the best seats in the house.

Just Be Game

Whenever male and female talents are paired off by their management, expect their fans to wish they would end up together. Instead of just role playing the boyfriend-girlfriend life, fans would root for the talents to be with each other 24/7. However, the norm is that even if the talents are together in real life, no admission should be done unless the management says so. By publicly declaring that they are committed to each other diminishes the hope of fans to be the one. As long as no one admits to anything, the talents remain desirable.
Nonetheless, the trend seems to be different these days and the norm seems to be the opposite. Several loveteams have broken the practice and have risked their careers, that is, they have admitted to be real. Despite the admission, certain fans will not believe and insist everything is just for show.
Sometime ago, the audience was surprised when Female Celebrity (FC) admitted that she and Male Actor (MA) have officially been together for quite a time. Their loyal followers were elated, as what they have longed for finally came through. For FC, such a relationship would be fitting, as it ends all speculations if MA were indeed true to their loveteam. FC revealed the secret with conviction.
Although the news seemed great publicity, something was amiss. The person most shocked at the revelation was MA, who for several years has been ambivalent on his feelings toward FC despite getting emotional in front of the camera. Allegedly, MA was unhappy with the revelation because the admission was not true at all. While they are together as a loveteam, his heart was with his Non-showbiz Girlfriend (NG). MA brought his concerns to the management, but they could not really do much, as the “secret” was already made public. Besides, the idea was the brainchild of the camp of FC, who thought that admission would be good for their projects. After all, the audience became curious when a Highly Popular (HP) couple finally admitted what their fans long believed. This curiosity translated into money, which is obviously was the camp of FC is banking on.
Hence, MA was advised to just live up to the revelation in front of the camera and fans. The ‘kilig’ factor should be maintained. MA realized that he must obey or else his career would be over. As for NG, she should just continue to be in the shadows and not dare come out. Any item that would ruin the credibility of the revelation of FC would bring an end to the prosperous reputation of her loveteam with MA.
