Not Aware

When business people want to promote their products or increase their sales, they resort to various tools to stir up the market. Marketing strategies, such as ad placement in traditional and social media as well as contests, are employed to encourage the public to patronize the said products.
As many celebrities have resorted to businesses to increase their income, they, too are familiar with using marketing tools to raise sales. Some even have the courage to use their faces and names on their products. This strategy is risky but adds credibility to the product, and therefore, enhances sales.
When Celebrity Entrepreneur (CE) ventured into a business, she made sure that she would encourage her sellers to market the products. Thus, CE allegedly held a contest to entice sellers to increase the interest and purchase. After some time, A Winner (AW) was chosen. Like the usual winners, AW waited for the promise prize.
CE has a good reputation in the industry, which makes her partnerships trustworthy until this contest was held. AW continued to wait for the reward for the effort placed in the business. The waiting continued and a year passed and AW had no choice but to take drastic action. AW personally contacted CE and told her about the delay in the prize. CE was shocked and had believed that the prize was already given. She then referred AW to the Person in Charge (PC). However, AW said that PC was not replying to messages.
CE reiterated her stand that PC should have already awarded the prize. AW said that the prize would be much needed to compensate for the hard work they have done. Someone apparently did not do a job well. Rather than get angry at the persistence of AW, CE calmly responded and told AW that the solution was on its way. If AW did not go directly to CE, CE would not have known that her reputation as a businessperson was being tarnished. One’s word is important to build a business network, and CE knew the importance of AW in hers.

Solving the Damage
Conflict between adults and children can escalate to the point that neither party wins the argument and disagreement only leads to scars that deepen as time passes. Sometimes, the simplest thing can trigger the pain and hurt.
After a long day shooting for her movie, Pretty Talent (PT) decided to make a stop-over and buy food that she wanted to eat at home. Although she was with her Legal Guardian (LG) during the shooting, they took separate cars to go home. Unfortunately, PT came home later than LG. To her shock, the gate was locked and she knew LG was angry again.
PT decided to go to a friend’s house and spend the night, as she has to continue her shooting the next day. When PT arrived at the set, she did not have any of her things with her. Thus, she did not have clothes, makeup, and other things she needed for the day. The location was quite hot and PT needed basic things to cope with the heat and the day.
Kind-hearted Personality (KP) helped PT and asked her staff to bring the things PT might need for the day. KP even told her Close Relation (CR) to assist PT with her needs. So, PT and CR went shopping and even bought new door knobs, as PT no longer wanted to go home. Previously, whenever LG would have her episode, PT would just go to the home of a Godparent (GP) and return home as soon as LG has cooled down. As the days passed, LG went to social media and PG was embarrassed by the ceaseless rants.
However, time seems to have done both well. These days, PT and LG are working things out and everyone is hoping that the two would be able to reconcile and forget everything that has happened. The showbiz industry is too small to have enemies and PT needs all the positive vibes these days.
“Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?” ― Mary Manin Morrissey

Repost: CNN's Anthony Bourdain Dead at 61

Anthony Bourdain, a gifted storyteller and writer who took CNN viewers around the world, has died. He was 61.
CNN confirmed Bourdain's death on Friday and said the cause of death was suicide.
"It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain," the network said in a statement Friday morning. "His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time."
Bourdain was in France working on an upcoming episode of his award-winning CNN series "Parts Unknown." His close friend Eric Ripert, the French chef, found Bourdain unresponsive in his hotel room Friday morning.
Bourdain was a master of his crafts -- first in the kitchen and then in the media. Through his TV shows and books, he explored the human condition and helped audiences think differently about food, travel and themselves. He advocated for marginalized populations and campaigned for safer working conditions for restaurant staffs.
Along the way, he received practically every award the industry has to offer.
In 2013, Peabody Award judges honored Bourdain and "Parts Unknown" for "expanding our palates and horizons in equal measure."
"He's irreverent, honest, curious, never condescending, never obsequious," the judges said. "People open up to him and, in doing so, often reveal more about their hometowns or homelands than a traditional reporter could hope to document."
The Smithsonian once called him "the original rock star" of the culinary world, "the Elvis of bad boy chefs."
In 1999 he wrote a New Yorker article, "Don't Eat Before Reading This," that became a best-selling book in 2000, "Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly."
The book set him on a path to international stardom.
First he hosted "A Cook's Tour" on the Food Network, then moved to "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations" on the Travel Channel. "No Reservations" was a breakout hit, earning two Emmy Awards and more than a dozen nominations.
In 2013 both Bourdain and CNN took a risk by bringing him to the news network still best known for breaking news and headlines. Bourdain quickly became one of the principal faces of the network and one of the linchpins of the prime time schedule.
Season eleven of "Parts Unknown" premiered on CNN last month.
While accepting the Peabody award in 2013, Bourdain described how he approached his work.
"We ask very simple questions: What makes you happy? What do you eat? What do you like to cook? And everywhere in the world we go and ask these very simple questions," he said, "we tend to get some really astonishing answers."
Bourdain's death happened after fashion designer Kate Spade hanged herself in an apparent suicide at her Manhattan apartment on Tuesday. Spade was found hanged by a scarf she allegedly tied to a doorknob, an NYPD source said.
Suicide is a growing problem in the United States. The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a survey Thursday showing suicide rates increased by 25% across the United States over nearly two decades ending in 2016. Twenty-five states experienced a rise in suicides by more than 30%, the government report finds.
