Daniel Matsunaga has broken his silence on rumors spreading on social media that his present Polish girlfriend, Karolina Pisarek, looks like his ex-girlfriend Erich Gonzales.
In a recent interview with Philstar.com following an Avon Fashions show, the actor said, “She doesn’t! Totally different!” when asked if he agrees that Karolina reportedly looks like Erich.
After a string of heartbreaks with Filipina girlfriends, Daniel has found happiness with his Polish girlfriend — and he even thinks that she is “the one.”
“She’s also part of showbiz in Poland… She’s very famous. Everywhere we go, people want to take pictures with her. There’s paparazzi everywhere even when we’re just walking the street,” he said of Karolina, a runner-up in the fifth season (2015) of Poland's version of the hit reality TV series "America's Next Top Model.”
Daniel shared that he has also become popular in Poland right now because of his girlfriend.
Karolina, according to him, knows everything about his past relationships, including those with actresses Erich and Heart Evangelista.
He met Karolina when she went to the Philippines for an advertising campaign. He hopes their long-distance relationship will end with Karolina joining him in the Philippines.
With Karolina in his life, the Brazilian-Japanese heartthrob has bravely declared that he is done and over with Filipinas.

Whenever celebrities air gripes on social media, their posts usually set a series of events that could range from various netizen reactions to actions of persons to whom the post seems to be addressed. Sometimes, the effect is favorable, while for most celebrities, their management would remind them to zip it up. Still, some celebrities have not learned the art of keeping things private, especially when their post is career-related.
Many things are often considered by management if a talent deserves to be signed up for projects. Other than skill and looks, management these days consider bankability of talents. One is really only as good as the financial return of his/her projects. Thus, if a talent’s project performed below expectations, such as not rating well or getting as much revenue, the management thinks hard if such talent deserves another project immediately. If a talent has a contract, things would be smooth, but if a talent does not have a contract and works on a per project basis, getting work might not be easy.
When Versatile Talent (VT) went on hiatus, the break meant a no-work-no-pay situation. Thus, VT had to spend her savings and make sure her family continues to enjoy the lifestyle her career as afforded them over the years. Money is not inexhaustible and VT needs to return to work, which is understandable.
VT became impatient and made public her hunch that someone does not want her to have projects. According to the grapevine, such accusation has no basis, as no one is consciously making sure she remains in hiatus. Despite being talented and known, her last projects failed to pull the ratings and revenues. The management had to think over her projects. Remember that every appearance of an actor is an investment that the producer wants to earn from.
When management learned of the edginess of VT that was expressed to everyone, disappointment prevailed. The feeling was that VT was instigating some idea that was not true at all. Instead of feeling pity toward VT, the management did not buy into the angst of VT and might not even reply favorably for the meantime. For the higher-ups, a private talk would have been the resolution to the work problem of VT. One has to deal with such issue on a professional level.

Caught in the Post-Act, Almost

One of the stunning moments a parent could have is realizing that his/her child is already an adult capable of actions that a parent would rather not face. Given the strict adherence to values of a Filipino family, conservatism is still a norm. Thus, when a parent sees that his/her child is not behaving by the rules, shock sets in, followed by anger and then reprimand.
When Non-showbiz Mom (NM) welcomed the male teammates of Her Child (HC) with a once famous Sports Personality (SP), she did not expect the turn of events. As HC is involved in her game, she has received much encouragement from her family for her dedication. Thus, family support is sometimes extended even to teammates from both genders. Visits from HC’s teammates was not really uncommon.
NM let the kids feel at home and she decided to do her usual lineup of activities. After some time, NM proceeded to look for HC. Then, without warning, NM saw HC with a Male Teammate (MT) allegedly coming out of the bathroom together. Unable to make sense of what she saw and to avoid a scandal in her home, NM quietly made her presence felt, which could have startled HC and MT.
Containing mixed feelings of wonder, anger, displeasure, and shock, NM remained calm. HC realizing that her mother might be thinking of something that any mother should not see from her daughter, became embarrassed. Could she even explain what her mother saw and what she could be thinking?
Given the awkward situation, the guests decided to leave and let HC deal with NM concerning the matter. Lucky for HC, her legendary father was not the one who saw her with MT. Otherwise, the scene would have been worse.
