Erich Gonzales won’t be meeting with Xian Gaza, the young businessman and a single dad who rented a billboard along the busy streets of Morayta, Manila to ask her for a coffee date.
In an interview on Sunday, Gonzales shared how she came up with that decision after she learned of Gaza’s effort to catch her attention.
“To be honest, regarding that issue, noong una, just like you guys, na-surprise ako. Natuwa naman ako sa effort. As things unfolded, lumabas 'yung mga expose about him, ako naman kasi personally, lahat naman ng supporters ko naa-appreciate ko lahat ng ginagawa nila, malaking bagay o maliit man 'yan,” she said.
Gonzales, however, began to feel uncomfortable when Gaza started posting long messages on social media.
“Parang naging uncomfortable ako. After talking to my family and my closest friends, I decided not to meet him na lang,” she said.
Insisting she is just a simple girl, Gonzales said those who want to get her attention don’t have to do anything grand.
It has been months since Gonzales broke up with Daniel Matsunaga.
Asked if she is finally ready to be in a relationship again, the actress said: “May mga nagpaparamdam po pero wala muna. Ten years pa. Let’s just focus muna sa sarili, sa mga bagay na importante, sa pamilya.”
Nonetheless, Gonzales made it clear that she is currently very much inspired.
“Right now, madami pong dahilan para maging masaya at maging grateful,” she said.
