While big name stars are often interesting subjects of juicy scandals, juicier scandals can be found among actors who frequently have roles in the supporting cast of major projects. For keen viewers of soaps, familiar faces would often grace the minor cast, such as their assignments are continuous unlike major stars who have to wait for several months for the next one.

One of these interesting actors is Appealing Hunk (AH), who has been in showbiz for approximately a decade. However, AH has yet to make it big, as his career revolves are playing minor roles in major projects. Given his length of staying power, he has done projects with major networks, but has found a home with Major Station (MS).

In MS, AH charmed his way to the heart of Production Personality (PP), who can be influential once he pulls the strings of his connections. PP was so smitten with MS that he did not mind the crazy past of AH. It was love after all. So, PP spent for the makeover and a few enhancements here and there for AH to improve his looks. PP was generous to people who could help AH land roles in prime projects. In other words, PP took care of the professional and personal needs of AH even if his friends were already telling him that he was merely being used. Again, it was love, so PP suffered.

Prior to PP entering the picture, AH was allegedly involved with a Beauty Queen (BQ), who competed in an international event a few years back. As of now, BQ is a model, but she’s still known for her placing in that competition. BQ did not last long, as she saw that AH was too much into the party scene, booze, and allegedly, even prohibited substances. Then, AH tried his luck with a transwoman, but moved away when the woman was falling for him. Several relationships followed with lesser known celebrities, who were also in his projects. However, these people did not contribute to his career.

When AH met PP, he knew he struck a goldmine. PP was enamored and did not hesitate to spend on AH. PP took him to trips and they embarked on their adventures, but somehow, something was not right. Finally, change came. After they went on a trip together, PP dropped the bomb on AH, and he dumped him. Much to the shock of AH, PP followed what his friends have been telling him. So, now, the crying game is still there, and friends feel that PP might make a comeback and ask AH back. Well, once AH becomes visible in MS again, chances are PP failed to forget him.

Repost: President Duterte Makes Another Joke on Rape, Mentions Ms. Universe

President Rodrigo Duterte made a new joke about rape on Friday, July 14, saying he would congratulate a rapist who could carry out the crime even knowing he would die.

"What I don't like are kids (being raped). You can mess with, maybe Miss Universe. Maybe I will even congratulate you for having the balls to rape somebody when you know you are going to die," Duterte said, implying the rapist would be lynched for the crime.

Duterte made the joke in a speech to Filipino diplomats in Davao City as he defended his bloody war on drugs which has left thousands dead since he took office in 2016.

Duterte's last rape joke was widely criticized, even resulting in the resignation of Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) member Samira Gutoc-Tomawis.

Addressing military troops in Iligan City last May at the height of clashes in Marawi City, Duterte said he has the back of soldiers, even one who would be found guilty of rape while under martial law.

"I'll take your place in prison. If you rape 3 [women], I'll take the blame," said the President, who had sparked outrage during the campaign when he cracked a rape joke about an Australian missionary.

Rape jokes while under martial law is a touchy topic for a region like Mindanao, as there are claims of women there raped by soldiers during the martial rule of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos.

It was also criticized as it came amid reports of human rights abuses in the hands of soldiers under Duterte's own martial law.

Phelim Kine, a deputy director with Human Rights Watch's Asia division, said back then, "Duterte's pro-rape comments only confirm some of the worst fears of human rights activists that the Duterte government will not just turn a blind eye to possible military abuses in Mindanao, but may actively encourage them."

It was the latest in a series of off-color jokes by Duterte who openly boasts of having mistresses and often makes sexual remarks about women.

Speaking in his rambling style, the president also boasted to the diplomats that he faked tuberculosis to escape mandatory military training in college.

But he also reiterated his vow to continue his bloody war on drugs despite accusations that thousands of suspects had been killed by police and vigilantes since he took office.

"Human rights? That is bullshit to me," he said, recalling how he called then-US president Barack Obama "a son of a whore" after Washington criticized the wave of killings.
