Martyrdom Continues
The affair of Versatile Talent (VT) and almost Deadbeat Partner (DP) was straight out of the stuff dreams are made of. Both were nobodies when they tried their luck in the industry. Then, their constant moments of being together blossomed into a relationship that has borne fruit. Like any relationship, VT and DP encountered bumps and had to face serious decisions. While most people are happy that VT opted to keep her family intact, rather than leave DP, she is still suffering in silence.
When VT and DP announced the coming of another child, not everyone was happy. As VT rejoiced, Another Woman (AW) realized that she would never have DP all to herself. Allegedly, even if DP is married, he found a woman to be his mistress. Worse, VT and AW are almost on the same pregnancy term.
All this time, DP thinks that VT is clueless that he has committed infidelity, and he refuses to divulge his predicament so as not to affect the delicate pregnancy of VT. However, what he does not know is that VT already found out about the trouble and has opted to keep quiet about it. Thus, whenever, DP asks for money from VT, she simply gives it to him with no fuss. She already knows that DP would give it to AW.
Even though it is obvious that DP is taking advantage of VT, she could not confront him. First, she is pregnant, and negative vibes might affect her unborn child. Second, she was allegedly the one who made sure DP would not leave her. Finally, she has a wholesome image that would definitely be tarnished if she were to get involved in a scandal, such as confronting the alleged mistress. Moreover, if AW comes out in the open, then that would definitely affect her family image as well.
At this point in her career, VT could not afford to lose the momentum her career is gaining. With DP hardly having a steady flow of projects, the financial backbone of their family rests on the shoulders of VT. If she loses what she has steadily built, then her children would suffer. Meanwhile, DP knows that he has a goldmine in VT and if he decides to leave her, he would not have a means of earning, and he needs the money to take care of AW and their future child.

Sen. Tito Sotto and National Youth Commission chairperson Aiza Seguerra have patched things up days after a heated exchange over the government's plan to distribute condoms in the country's high schools.
Sotto said it was Seguerra who reached out and apologized over her remarks in a Facebook post.
"Una, nagkaroon ng miscommuniation siguro. Siguro mali ang intindi sa pronouncements na lumabas sa social media so that's what the reaction Aiza gave," Sotto said.
"She texted me. She apologized for her statement and for calling me out and she now understands that [she] should concentrate on the issue, not on the personality," he added.
Sotto said "all is well" between him and Seguerra, who started her showbiz career as a child performer in the noontime show Eat Bulaga.
Eat Bulaga is hosted by Sotto, along with his brother Vic, and comedian-actor-host Joey de Leon.
Last week, Seguerra called out Sotto for his opposition to the condoms distribution. She cited the increased incidence of HIV/AIDS cases and teenage pregnancy among the youth to express support for the government initiative.
Seguerra also dismissed Sotto’s argument that the Department of Health, which planned to distribute condoms in schools, could not impose on the conservative culture of Filipinos.
“We have an epidemic here, a youth epidemic. It is precisely because of this ‘sentiment of a conservative culture’ kaya lalong pataas ng pataas ang HIV,” Seguerra said.
Asked whether he was offended by Seguerra’s remarks, Sotto said then: “Hindi naman. Baka nakalimutan na nya kung saan siya galing siguro."

Not a Pleasing Reaction
Sometime ago, the breakup of a young celebrity couple disappointed many of their fans who had hoped that they would end up with each other. Talented Actor (TA) and the Attractive Celebrity (AC) were slowly building their careers and learning the craft when latter had to take a break from the business. This decision was a painful one because she was just starting to take on serious roles and gain ground in her network’s roster of competitive talents. However, pregnancy was a delicate matter, and AC opted to take care of her body and that of her coming baby. Meanwhile, TA was unsure of the direction where his career was heading. He has a name that was easy to recall, but his breaks were not giving him enough clout in the industry.
Love can leave as fast as it came, and soon age and immaturity got into the picture. In a matter of time, the couple called it quits and went on their separate roads, but with Their Child (TC) as their priority. TC was raised by AC, but TA was given a schedule as to when he could visit TC. Years passed and TC was growing into a fine child.
TA was proud of what he was seeing in his child, and he thought his occasional presence was enough to make him part of the consciousness of TC. He was wrong. In an event, TC recited a prayer that included AC, but left out TA. When TA realized he was missing, he kept quiet and would have let the incident go. However, TC went back to the center again and recited a prayer and this time, TA was mentioned. TA smiled after, but he was so embarrassed because it highlighted that he was not included in the schema of TC, who had to be coached to include his name. Disappointed, TA could not really do much, as TC was under the care of AC. Although both have become mature emotionally and have established careers that would make them feel secure, the circumstances prove that they could never reconcile, as they have found new people to love.
