Just Trying To Explain
Several factors have been assumed to explain why stardom has eluded VT. First, some say that the choice of her earlier projects has affected the perception of the audience. At the beginning, VT was immediately given demanding roles that did not match her talent. Thus, VT failed in this department and was harshly criticized by the audience. Second, VT has not been as direct when responding to questions on her personal life, which actually makes good copy and a point of interest for writers and the viewers, respectively. As time passed, VT has always denied issues associated with her, especially love matters, which the press did not like.
Finally, VT seems to be jaded when it comes to changing her attitude a bit. Kibitzers deemed VT is short of skills in public relations, which could explain why she is not as much liked other talents. Moreover, VT has been noted to come up with responses that are sometimes not related to questions asked.
One time, a group of reporters was talking along the corridor of a major network. Looking ordinary, the group seemed like ordinary people in the studio. Given that they were in the studio meant that they have connections and thus, would be known by people in the network. As the reporters continued to chitchat, VT passed by and ignored them.
After a few meters, someone informed VT that the group talking along the corridor comprised of press people. Thus, VT stopped walking and turned back. Obviously, she was going back to the group. When the group noticed VT was approaching, they pretended that they were not expecting anything. True enough, VT stopped by and before anyone could say anything, she started to explain. No one was asking and yet VT started to explain why she just walked by. Citing her fatigue resulting from too much work, VT tried to justify her action. The group allowed VT to talk, but they were already thinking that VT was just there for shallow pleasantries. After all, VT could have realized that she could once again be the subject of columns pertaining to her snobbish attitude had she not bothered to see the group. When VT left, the press looked at each other, as they knew why VT came to see them.

If tourism officials have their way, President Rodrigo Duterte will be one of the judges at the Miss Universe pageant in the Philippines in January.
"Apparently, it is a rule for the Miss Universe Organization not to have a judge from the host country but I think if it's the President, I think they will make an exception to the rule," Tourism Undersecretary Kat de Castro said in a Palace news briefing on Friday, December 9.
Based on the roster of judges in previous pageants, the rule had been relaxed. In the 2015 Miss Universe held in Las Vegas, 3 of the telecast judges are American citizens: Emmitt Smith, Niecy Nash, and Perez Hilton.
De Castro, among the tourism officials who pushed for the popular pageant to be held in the Philippines, said the Miss Universe Organization will likely "welcome" Duterte's participation in the event.
Asked if DOT has formally asked Duterte to be a judge, De Castro said the President's inner circle knows such a request is in the works.
"I think his men are aware that we would like him to be part of, to judge it, or just even to watch it, but he has not yet given us a concrete answer altogether," said De Castro.
The tourism official said she might personally ask Duterte during a possible meeting in Malacañang this month.
Duterte is no stranger to judging beauty pageants. In his two decades as Davao City mayor, he was a regular judge at the Mutya ng Dabaw pageants. In fact, he met his common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña, through this pageant. She was a contestant while he was a judge.
'Gimmick' with Steve Harvey
Despite Duterte's unflattering opinion of Miss Universe pageant host Steve Harvey, the American comedian is still expected to host the event next month.
De Castro insisted that Duterte was only joking when he said he didn't want Harvey as pageant host.
"I told him, 'It really needs to be Steve Harvey,' and he said, 'No, I'm very much welcome to have him here in the Philippines,'" related De Castro.
In fact, a gimmick is being planned for Duterte and Harvey to break the ice.
"Kami ni Secretary Martin Andanar, mayroon kaming gagawing pakulo between the President and Steve Harvey so medyo abangan 'nyo po 'yan (Secretary Martin Andanar and I are coming up with a gimmick between the President and Steve Harvey so wait for it)," she teased.
Duterte had also expressed his views on other aspects of the pageant.
Organizers had to move the swimwear events to Cebu from Davao City, the original venue, because of the local government's prohibition on swimsuit portions in pageants held in the city. Duterte initiated the rule when he was city mayor.
"When we told the President about it he, said, 'Yes, just do it in Cebu because in Davao, I will not relax the rules,'" said De Castro. – Rappler.com

Engaging Massage Turns To Blackmail

While his alleged bisexuality seems to have been swept under the rug, such rumors refuse to die down despite the time that has passed. Over the years, SC has been linked to so many women, both in and out of showbiz. Nonetheless, SC’s sexuality has been cast aside, and the younger generation might find it hard to believe that he was even involved in such choice. SC hardly shows overt signs of being on the gay side on camera and during his public appearances. Nonetheless, SC has allegedly been spotted joining LGBT marches abroad, but no pictures nor other proofs have surfaced.
One time, SC felt the urge and decided to avail of the extra services of A Masseur (AM). After feeling the soft touches of his attendant, SC was turned on and requested AM if he would be willing to extend his services further. AM agreed, as the money was good anyway. Besides, SC was a celebrity. Naturally, everything was kept confidential.
As his passion increased, SC was on AM a bit too hard. SC was top and AM had no choice but to play bottom. The night passed with much pleasure on the side of SC, but AM had a different experience. Given the stocky structure of SC, his heavy body exerted strong force that ripped AM, which resulted in his bleeding from behind. Feeling responsible, SC took AM to a hospital.
After the incident, SC thought it was over, as he took care of the expenses of AM. He was wrong. Soon after, SC started receiving messages asking for money. A typical blackmail story, AM threatened to tell all if SC would not grant his demands. SC, for the meantime, has no choice, but to carefully consider his next moves. Although AM might be seen as a gold-digger in case he reveals everything, SC is protecting his reputation as well. A known family man and dignified celebrity, such story might have repercussions to his private life and career. Besides, such a scandal will have a chain reaction, as celebrities close to him will definitely be dragged into the controversy.
