Janella Salvador has finally broken her silence on the recent breakup of her onscreen partner, Elmo Magalona, and actress Janine Gutierrez.
In an interview at the sidelines of the 2016 PMPC Star Awards for Music and TV on Sunday, Salvador denied that she has anything to do with the split.
“Yung reaction ko diyan, wala. As long as I know na wala naman akong ginawang masama, I’d rather stay out of it kasi I’m really not involved naman talaga,” she said.
Asked if she feels bad for Magalona and Gutierrez, Salvador said: “Of course, I do. I’m always going to be here for Elmo, siyempre more for Elmo because he’s my friend. If I have to comfort him, I’m going to be here naman.”
Is she open in case Magalona decides to court her now that he’s no longer in a relationship? “Tignan natin. We need time,” she briefly stated.
Salvador said he likes Magalona because “he is very caring as a friend and he will always think of others too.”
Ever since they were paired together in “Born For You,” Magalona and Salvador have been subject to romance rumors. They even attended last Saturday's Star Magic Ball together.
The two have repeatedly downplayed these, but admitted that they do enjoy the close friendship that they have.

Just Because She Could Almost Likely Get What She Yearned For
As the public excitedly anticipated a much-awaited annual event of a network, the behind the scene happenings are proving interesting. Planning for the event for the guests did not happen overnight. They know that the event would be their venue to shine and to be noticed. Even if eyes will be on the major talents of the network, the newbies would have a shot at their 15 seconds of fame while they make their way the red carpet.
Among the most eager to attend the said event are the younger talents of the network, as they would get the chance to mingle with seasoned celebrities. Such interactions are rarely done in settings that have nothing to do with work. One of these talents is Cute Newbie (CN), who seems to be a favorite talent of the network these days. CN, it seems, is never running out of projects, which could be attributed to his pleasant attitude towards his co-workers.
Weeks before the said event, CN decided to invite the Other Half (OH) of his initial loveteam. When CN and OH were starting their career, the management decided to bank of their chemistry and promoted the two as a love team.
However, CN had his eyes on Persistent Talent (PT), whom he considers as his crush. Before, CN would be star-struck at seeing PT, but she would not entertain him, as he was an unknown. By contrast, she had a name and the confidence stemming from the belief that the network is building her to reach the same status as her famous relations.
Meanwhile, Another Newbie (AN) invited OH to be his date to the event. While AN and OH have not been built up as a loveteam, he has other plans. Sometime ago, AN declared that he finds OH attractive and thus, he revealed that OH was very special to him. Despite his intention, OH turned down his invitation, as she had already committed to CN.
Time could be playful, indeed, and the expected pairings for the event did not push through. When PT realized she had no date for the event, she tried to get in touch with CN. Reacting like a typical teen getting noticed by his crush, CN forgot he already had a date in OH. The opportunity to spend an evening with PT was too good to let go. Hence, CN dropped OH and decided to go with PT. Adding to his personal feelings, the grapevine was also abuzz that the management had a hand in this pairing. The new pair could offset the negative image of PT.
When OH found out, she immediately got hold of AN. Unlike CN, AN stood firm on his prior commitment. After he was turned down by OH, AN opted to join the date-less boys. Even if OH had requested him, AN did not succumb to his feelings, as he felt his word to join the boys was far more important. Poor OH, she was so furious, as she ended up going to the event without a date and had to be with starlets of the network. She could not do anything, as PT has powerful backers. Her only consolation was to sound off that PT was a date-stealer.

How Does Obesity Affect Your Organs?
Obesity does not just mean you’re fat, overweight or you can’t fit to any proper clothing. It’s more than that and it means your health is at risk. Being overweight or obese is more than just fat layers in your body. When someone is obese, the body functions are very low which takes a toll on different major organs of the body. Here are the list of organs and how they are affected by excess weight.
1. Heart – When a person is obese or overweight, the arteries are basically blocked because of the plaque build-up making it hard for the blood to flow. This means the heart needs to work harder and pump harder.
2. Colon – Most people who are overweight or obese eat a lot of processed food. Processed meat, sweets and unhealthy things can cause harm to the colon which is responsible for eliminating the toxins.
3. Brain – When a person is obese or overweight, the brain suffers when sending signals. A study found that the cognitive highways of the brain of obese people are diminished, which compromises the sending of signals to the different parts of the brain.
4. Skin- Hormone changes can cause acanthosis nigricans, a thickening and darkening of the skin; swelling and stretching of the skin can cause redness and irritation, known as stasis dermatitis; and poor vein function can lead to ulcers, found most often in ankles as a result of lacking blood flow.
5. Lungs - Poor lung function means blood vessels may not be getting enough oxygen. Similarly, obese people face a far greater risk for obstructive sleep apnea than non-obese people, further limiting the oxygen their bodies take in. Problematic enough during the daytime, a failure to breathe at night could turn fatal in a hurry.
It is not rocket science to find out how excess weight affects the organs in our body. However, being more aware about the effects on our organs might help us in keeping watch on our weight.
