In the case of Female Discovery (FD) and Unsure Talent (UT), loving each other was witnessed by the public. As both started their careers as single individuals, matching FD and UT seemed to be a good idea to boost the ratings of and widen the interest in the show where they were both starting out. Her bubbly personality matched his demeanor. Soon, both were teased by their peers and the network played along. They were given projects together and their professional partnership was promoted. The audience loved their partnership and wanted them together forever. As time passed, they admitted they had feelings for each other and they were ready to pursue their future. At this point, kibitzers felt that everything was fast and that FD and UT may have just been pressured.
Nonetheless, to show sincerity, FD and UT committed to each other formally, which was, of course, covered by the network. Thus, privacy was nil because the couple were undoubtedly already public figures. Yet, there was a major reason that added to the pressure to get hitch, and that was their coming baby. Given the conservative image that the station would want the couple to have, both had to marry or else risk the end of their careers.
After the baby was born, both resumed their careers, but FD had more projects because the audience loved her and she was a natural in front of the camera. While UT had his projects, he did not, unfortunately, really stand out among his peers. Still, the network was kind and he was given work. With both secure in work and with their happy family, everything seemed fine.
However, everything was crumbling. Their image was turning out to be a sham. Beneath the happy family image was the alleged ugly head of jealousy. Thus, in a matter of weeks, their relationship ended and a long litany of reasoning was presented to the public. While FD expressed her wanting to fight for her right, UT seemed adamant to break apart their marriage. It was over, period. No longer did UT think of the effect of his decision on his career, as he allegedly only wanted to get out. He was tired, and sadly, he did not want to be with FD anymore. According to the grapevine, the jealousy issue was merely a form of justification for the feeling of not wanting to pursue a forever with FD anymore. Instead of being unhappy, UT opted out. Now, time will tell if FD would be able to let go.
