Love in showbiz cuts both ways. While reel love can generate revenues and increase the fan base, real love can cause headaches for the network. Most often, relationships are discouraged for matinee idols and actresses. Thus, relationships are hidden and parties involved have to deny such relationships. The reason for the discouragement is the belief that Filipino fans are jealous and do not take too kindly when an actor or actress is committed to someone who is not of his/her screen partner.

Another reason why relationships are looked down upon is that such relations can distract the career of any actor. For example, several actresses had to give way to unexpected motherhood at the expense of their careers, and often, when they came back, they no longer enjoyed the former fame. Meanwhile, actors sometimes lose interest in their career and even turn to vices, such as drinking and using drugs.

Thus, when Complex Actor (CA) and Beautiful Actress (BA) were found out to be in love with each other, their camps decided that revealing their relationship was detrimental to their career. With his passionate acting, CA was being groomed to be the network’s next important drama actor, while BA was being built up as a sexy actress. Unfortunately, CA and BA broke off, with CA not taking the breakup quite well.

After CA eventually bounced back from oblivion, seeing him with BA created a buzz and soon, people were speculating that they might be back together. Immediately, denials were issued and both said they were just friends. However, BA affirmed that CA was special to her and he was trying to win her back. That was their public statement.

Nonetheless, someone discovered that CA had already won BA back, and the two are actually staying together in a condo somewhere in the city. Rumors have it that CA and BA have been living together for a couple of months. Of course, the network where both are affiliated is not happy with the development in the personal lives of CA and BA. The fear that both might impede each other’s career is imminent. For the second time, will career once again prevail over their love or will love win this time?

Good, Bitter, B*tch

Whenever Controversial Actor CA is with his guy friends, you can be assured that topics about girls will always crop up in conversation. Apart from cars and gadgets, names of hot, sexy women take center stage during those regular talks with drinks in between.

Much recently, CA was overheard to have been very thrilled to learn that Enticing Star ES, his ultimate crush, the woman he likes for so long is single again. His desires on women seems unstoppable these days as another girl has been added to his list, Titillating Personality TP who is even hotter than ES as seen on her posting in social media. But CA has to behave on this one ‘though, because TP is taken, obviously.

Reportedly, these talks about CA being so into voluptuous, desirable women have diminished Pretty Star PS’ self-esteem and confidence in a big way. PS, who is a regular presence in CA’s life is bothered by this fact. Initially, she was content by just refining her skin. Now, the simple and conservative PS wants to step up further and is reportedly considering more intense stuff like real serious work-outs in the gym.

PS is allegedly intent on leveling up, as she needs badly need CA. She is also aware that it runs in his genes, the need to be around beautiful women – thus she wants to step up the challenge - and she is hell-bent on this, will not settle to be 2nd fiddle to just anyone coz she knows that among all those girls that CA fancies, she is the biggest star. Woohoo!
