Is the Actress Pregnant?

If rumors are to be believed, Actress and Model AM is about to face another major challenge in her life.

Not too long ago, AM was nursing a broken heart, grieving over a Loved One LO. From the start, her relationship with LO had been frowned at by people close to their hearts who believe that both AM and LO just don’t connect – in more ways than one.

It was both pain and joy for the couple to sustain the relationship, especially for AM who had to struggle more. In the beginning, people witnessed how they stood their ground. But more thumping and pounding later, the ground had given up.

Those privy to AM and LO believed that they might have realized the futility of their efforts to prove themselves. They felt that they were not going anywhere. Then one day, the couple just woke up wanting to cut their ties. And so they did.

But hold on - there’s something more than meets the eye. According to the grapevine, AM is pregnant! If this were true, who could be the father?

For their friends who know LO, such was not a welcome one for him. He knew that staying with AM a little longer would do him more harm than good. Uh oh.
Could her pregnancy be the reason why lately, AM is not as fabulous in her choice of outfits?

Don’t ask for more clues that my lips are burning to reveal. Therefore, your guess should be as good as mine.

Wack Wack Golf Club Suspends Mar Roxas for 2 Months Over April 6 'Meltdown'

The board of the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club has voted to suspend for two months Interior Secretary Mar Roxas over the April 6 incident where he was accused of giving Club employees a tongue-lashing over green fees he supposedly did not want to pay.

The board met last Tuesday to deliberate on the report of the club's membership committee, which earlier investigated the matter after it was mentioned in a newspaper column of broadcast journalist Arnold Clavio.

The membership committee’s report is only recommendatory, and under usual practice, the Board either sets it aside, upholds it entirely or affirms it with some modification. In the Roxas case, four of the eight board members present (one was absent) voted to impose the two-month suspension; one voted for a mere reprimand; and three abstained.

The Club is set to issue an official announcement of the decision by Friday, said InterAksyon.com sources.

The decision to suspend Roxas was, according to sources, based largely on precedents "where the circumstances were very similar" and thus the same penalty was imposed.

The incident report received earlier by the club’s membership committee showed that at around noon of April 6, Roxas went to the club registration office and got upset when an employee asked him to pay a P5,100 green fee for a guest he invited for a lesson with golf pro Rey Pagunsan.

Roxas allegedly lost his cool and started shouting at the employees, and berated them with cuss words.

When another employee suggested they call the club’s manager and not the president so someone could explain the rules to Roxas, the DILG chief allegedly shouted back: “T--------------ina!. Walang presi-presidente sa akin!” “Walang bawal bawal sa akin.”

The Club’s president is Philip Ella Juico, the husband of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) Chairman Margie Juico.

While teeing off, the report said, another employee approached Roxas and asked for the green fee receipts, but he allegedly shouted again.

Roxas denied the accusation and said there was a miscommunication on the new policy imposed by the Club. He insisted he never berated nor cussed anyone at the time.

She is Everyone’s Girl

News Gatherer NG is so ever relentless in her pursuit of any guy she finds desirable. NG’s reputation has given her not-so-pleasant labels from the public who are privy to her activities. Among others, she loves to be in the limelight and be the center of attention feeling like a celebrity that she is tasked to interview.

With regards to men, NG is allegedly everywhere - been there, done that - so to speak. If she likes him, then all systems go. Nothing is impossible – just like her latest conquest.

Heard from the grapevine that the young Son of a controversial Couple SC is now the apple of NG’s eyes. One may ask how did NG meet SC? NG’s job is the key. She often interviewed SC when his relationship with his Former Girl FG was still hot. In the process, she got closer and comfortable with SC. They texted each other, even becoming a shoulder to cry on at times, with NG telling SC to call her so they can talk about his love problems.

One night, SC called NG and they went out. FG allegedly learned about it and she was so pissed. To avenge, she dated a deejay thinking SC would get jealous but he did not. One thing led to another, then both called it quits.

Now that SC is free, the opportunity to mingle seemed great for him and NG. Reportedly, the two are now seeing each other often. Could this be the reason why NG is often teased as ‘blooming’ by friends?

One day, SC’s mother was surprised to see NG in his condo unit. But she soon regained her composure and did not bother - realizing that it’s better that way so SC can forget and not get back to FG anymore.

Second Case of Potential Child Sex Abuse Emerges at Prestigious International School

A second case of potential child abuse has emerged at the prestigious Jakarta International School, further fuelling an already heated public debate about sex abuse in Indonesia.

On Wednesday, the parents of a six-year-old student reported an alleged attack or attempted attack in the school toilets to Indonesia’s child protection agency, KPAI, who immediately informed the local media.

KPAI head Erlinda, said medical examinations had been carried out on the alleged new victim, but the results were not yet available.

The new allegation came as the school was already reeling from the rape in February and March of a five-year-old pre-school student by contract cleaners, also in the school toilets.

It was also revealed this week that the American Federal Bureau of Investigations has launched an unrelated investigation into a former teacher at the school, William Vahey, who killed himself in March after photographs emerged of him molesting 90 or more drugged and unconscious adolescent boys since 2008. None of those attacks are alleged to have occurred at JIS, but Vahey taught at the school between 1992 and 2002 while his wife, Jean, was deputy principal.

The news about a school most Indonesians view as an exclusive western enclave have prompted enormous media interest and discussion about the rarely raised issue of child sexual abuse.

JIS head of school Tim Carr said on Thursday that the initial sex assault was an “incredible tragedy” for the family and the school community.

Speaking at a forum on child sex abuse alongside KPAI chief Erlinda in Jakarta on Tuesday, Mr Carr acknowledged that the recent events and media coverage had damaged the school’s reputation, and that the subsequent move by the Ministry of Education to threaten to close the preschool over an unrelated licensing issue was “adding some salt to the wounds”.

He acknowledged that the school had initially been too slow to provide information to the media, but he also criticised journalists who he said had named the abused boy, got facts wrong and displayed an “appalling lack of journalistic integrity”. Reporters had approached young students outside the school gates and “badgered” them into giving interviews, he said, which had “done nothing but compound the trauma”.

Erlinda defended the local media, saying they had “reacted this way because … the school didn’t allow them inside,” to “investigate” the story.

Mr Carr said he hoped that “from here on” the school would have a “very positive and helpful relationship” with KPAI. But he subsequently grew angry that Erlinda was discussing details of the alleged second case at the public forum.

“All of this should be treated with the utmost confidentiality … We should not be learning about this sort of thing in the media straight away. Why did that happen? Who told the media about this? Why did I learn about it that way? This is ridiculous,” he said.

Child psychologist Seto Mulyadi said child sex assault was a large and under-recognised problem which was often “taken lightly” in Indonesia. About 2000 cases of child sex abuse were reported in the last 12 months in Indonesia, but he said it was an “iceberg phenomenon”.

Disclosure: The author has two children attending the Jakarta International School.
