Ending Another Chapter

Parent – child relationship has been one of the most tested of all relationships. A parent's love is unconditional and unquestionable. No sane parents will wish ill of their children. They will always be there to give them the best, sometimes even at their own personal risk.
Some friends of Urbane Guy UG hope that this sentiment gets drilled in his head . Reportedly, UG's very Worried Parents WP are up in arms against his choice of a Girlfriend GF. WP are worried about the repercussion of such a relationship, they believe with full conviction that UG ending up with GF is a big disaster waiting to happen. WP know where they are coming from, their fears are valid.
Reportedly, WP put together an investigation team to spy on GF, and the results left them very devastated. GF is reportedly an incurable party girl who drinks alcohol like water…till the wee hours. To top it all, when UG is out of her sight, GF plays around as well. For one so young, WP believes that GF is not the girl for their son. What's worse – UG seems to be blinded by his love for her. What parents would not raise hell?
Like some privileged parents, WP made sure that UG gets the best education. He has his concrete goal and his future is set. WP believe that one wrong move (UG taking GF seriously) will definitely bring havoc to all their plans and darken his bright future.
Unsurprisingly, the parents have now set limits to UG and given him a fierce ultimatum - that unless he breaks up with her, UG will be sent somewhere far away for good.
“I think when you become a parent, you go from being a star in the movie of your own life to the supporting player in the movie of someone else's.” ― Craig Ferguson

Fiftea, the No.1 Milktea in Taiwan is Now in the Philippines!
Fiftea is now my favorite tea shop when I visited one of their outlets in Makati. My top 3 cravings are Jade Lemon Green Tea which is low in caffeine but a rich and delicious source of antioxidants and phytonutrients, Assam Red Milk Tea which contains high level of caffeine, perfect for the call center workforce and the Oolong Milk Tea which is richest taste among all kinds of teas and are known to prevent obesity and contribute in weight loss.
Fiftea is known for its yellow and blue interiors and a wide selection of milk teas. What makes it different from its competitor is its constant product innovation.
They also have a wide variety of add-ons (toppings) to choose from: Boba pearl (their pearls are consistently chewier than most places), Fiftea pearl, Nata de Coco, Pudding, Grass Jelly, Aloe Vera, and Red Bean.
To date, Fiftea has three company-owned outlets, The Galleon Food Avenue in Paseo de Roxas, Lower Ground Floor of Cityland III in V. A. Rufino corner Esteban, and their flagship store which is inside Rustans Supermarket in Alphaland (in front of Makati Fire Station)
Out of all the places I have tried, Fiftea’s taste is exceptional because no matter what Fiftea I go to ( in Taiwan, China, or here in the country), the quality and the taste remains the same. Also, the ice size is essential. Because the special moon-shaped ice melts so quickly it leaves you with pure cup of tea. Additionally, the price range is very affordable.
As the business grows, Fiftea intends to deliver more distinct and creative selections in its menu with the help of our dedicated baristas.
To set Fiftea apart from all other milk tea brands, we slowly brew the real dried, natural tea leaves. We don’t use any powders or extracts. It is just healthy all the way.

Letter from a Reader: Fan Complains About Overhyped 7107 International Music Fest
Please help, FP!
I would like to air my gripes regarding the overhyped, disappointing, underwhelming and overpriced 7107 International Music Fest. How dare they call it an "international" music fest when the lineup has only about 9 foreign acts out of the original 50? Unbelievable!
I have nothing against local artists, but the lineup is ridiculously disappointing considering that it is supposedly a diverse pool of performers from other countries. The foreign acts are not even THAT big. The only consolation are Red Hot Chili Peppers and Kendrick Lamar. But that doesn't justify something as close to deception.
I am very outraged (along with A LOT of netizens). I bought tickets prior to the announcement of the complete lineup because I trusted the people behind it that the event will live up to the name it carries -- "INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FEST," my a**! It looked like I paid P20,000 to see an Oktoberfest! Good thing I'm a big RHCP fan, so the fact that they are going consoles my very angered soul... and wallet.
Please, FP. Please tell the public of this s**t of an event. The social media manager of 7107 blocks people who tweet negative comments instead of handling the issue head on. Certainly not an ethical way to do business.
Thank you, FP for giving me space on your widely-read blog.

Vic Sotto Reacts to Blogger’s ‘Open Letter’, Gives Ryzza Mae Dizon ‘Bonus’
Source: www.mb.com.ph
Recall that blogger Lourd de Veyra, published on SPOT.ph last Jan. 3, a letter addressed to Vic from a fan’s (de Veyra) perspective on the latter’s 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “My Little Bossings.”
Although it was intended for him, Vic revealed that he wasn’t able to read de Veyra’s letter.
“Mas maganda siguro kung diniretso na niya sa akin,” the “Eat Bulaga” host told PEP in an interview. He added that his girlfriend, Pauleen Luna, got affected after reading the blog post.
“Ako naman, I’m open to all criticisms, lalo na kung constructive,” Vic simply said.
Explaining his stance, he added, “Eto ’yung tinatawag nating demokrasya. Nirerespeto ko ang opinyon ng kung sino man, ganun din ang pagrespeto sa milyun-milyong nanonood, nasiyahan, at natuwa sa aming pelikula.”
In his letter, De Veyra expressed disappointment over the film co-starring Ryzza Mae Dizon, Bimby Aquino Yap, and Kris Aquino. He urged the 59-year-old actor to make films with better storyline that will stand the test of time and will be remembered 20 years from now.
What matters to Vic is that “My Little Bossings” is now part of history having been named the official MMFF topgrosser in last December’s festival, which ended with almost one billion peso-gross.
He is aware of the recent announcement of another MMFF entry that it is now the all-time highest grossing Pinoy film of all time.
Vic said, “Hindi ko na pinapansin ’yun. Ang importante, kung ano ’yung nasa official records ng festival committee ng Metro Manila Film Festival. Numbers lang yun, eh. Ang mahalaga, record-breaking itong festival na ito.”
Ryzza Mae’s big bonus
Vic shared in the same PEP interview that child wonder Ryzza Mae Dizon will be transferring to her new house soon.
He clarified that the young actress’ long awaited dream house isn’t by his help alone.
