The Company of the Good and the Bad

Before his break up with his former girlfriend, the colleagues of Singer Host SH were already privy to everything that was happening between SH and Pretty Starlet PS' affair. The two had been constantly together – and loving it – looong before SH's then girlfriend came to find out the extent of his betrayal.

In one of the segments of their show, PS was teamed up with a Naughty Co-star NC. Reportedly, SH was feeling uncomfortable (or jealous?) of PS and NC's scenes together, especially since their scenes called for them to stay very close together - as if kissing. Feeling awkward and uneasy on his seat, SH reportedly couldn’t look at them straight. That obvious reaction allegedly was a giveaway according to one observer.

Backstage, SH and PS would be clingy like leeches to each other, especially inside the dressing rooms. Initially, they were allegedly mindful of the people present, but as the months wore on, the spectacle of them together no longer bothered their colleagues – to the utter relief of SH and PS.

Soon after, as the "new couple" became more comfortable with their colleagues' seeming tolerance of their affair, the two reportedly became bolder doing PDA's anywhere, even in the presence of some strangers there. Even during their out of town shows, the illicit affair between SH and PS was undeniable, as the couple allegedly had no qualms displaying their feelings in public. Some of the show's followers and fans present could only cringe.

To most of their show's followers, just looking at SH and PS seems bad news enough. They are hoping that the negativity being brought in by the couple would not affect the rating of the show which is now showing promise.

Indeed, those tears of SH told it all – they were just euphemism for his major show, a show of betrayal like no other.

Bid Adieu to Her Endorsement

In a consumer-driven country like the Philippines, companies strive hard to achieve product recall - one basic marketing goal of any enterprise. And one of the best, if not priciest marketing tools is to hire a celebrity endorser to promote and boost product sales. A celebrity endorser identifies with the product for easier recall. For it to work, he or she must not only be popular but must be someone with untarnished image and credibility.

Imagine how a product would impact to the market if the endorser hired to promote it is loaded with negative issues and controversies. Which is why celebrity endorsers take very good care of their image like their life depended on it. They are well aware that the image they project is key to clinch deals for the very lucrative product endorsements.

Apart from the multi-million peso talent fees, the thrill of seeing one's face appearing on television commercials, billboard and print advertising campaigns, etc, are every celebrity's dream of a lifetime. Getting hired to be an endorser means a celebrity has arrived in a big way, a manifestation of his major status in the industry.

After being in demand for years, a Celebrity Endorser CE is set to lose a big endorsement soon, one that pays her handsomely for many years now. To most observers, CE's looming misfortune is a foregone conclusion, so to speak.

In one of their business meetings, a top executive of a Big Firm BF reportedly told his business colleague that there is a big possibility that CE will lose her endorsement with BF. According to the grapevine, BF is no longer interested in renewing CE's contract after she got herself involved in an incident. It was reported that Another Celebrity AC will now step up to become BF's only endorser.

At this juncture, her followers hope that CE realizes that humility will always be a virtue, especially for her who believes that she is indispensable.
