The Presumptuous Performer

Presumptuous Performer (PP) overheard the plans for the presentation of a new take on a song of Seasoned Celebrity (SC). The plan was to make Busy Performer (BP) sing the new version. BP and her management approved the idea and were waiting for the final details.

However, PP did not want the opportunity to slip and she went to A Head (AH) in charge of the project. PP told AH she was willing to be the second choice in case BP would not be available. AH replied that Young Singer (YS) was already the second choice, as the new version would fit her image. PP begged AH to try her version and he said he will.

While waiting for the response of BP, PP presented her demo recording. The deadline was nearing and BP sent word that her schedule could no longer fit the plan. YS was told to sing the new version. AH and the team found the version of YS better sounding than that of PP.

The decision was yet to be revealed, but PP already made her moves behind the scenes. She talked to YS and told her to let her have the song. She even said that she had asked permission from SC, who gave her blessing. YS was cornered and PP got her way via her dramatics.

On performance day, SC was surprised that PP was singing the song. SC anticipated YS to be the one performing. The question that was worth pondering was if PP lied and used SC to convince YS.

As soon as Observant Talent (OT) became uncomfortable at seeing Co-Actor (CA) and Self-assured Colleague (SC) together, she sniffed something was brewing. Days passed and OT witnessed the closeness developing between CA and SC. OT could no longer stand it, and she informed CA’s Unaware Partner (UP) about the mystery happening while she was away.

OT tried to separate work and play by reminding SC that CA was in a relationship, but she could not do much. According to the grapevine, even if SC knew CA and UP were together but in a shaky relationship, she still made the move. Instead of advising CA to fix his relationship, SC set her eyes on CA. Thus, their budding closeness affected work, as CA was always tired the following day after spending time with SC until the wee hours of the morning.

The relationship crumbled as CA and UP drifted away from each other, which paved the way for SC to achieve her goal with CA. SC was enamored by CA’s intimacy skills, as he is said to be more gifted than her past loves. Meanwhile, UP allegedly realized that the two were made for each other, as both are user-friendly to achieve their personal desires and career advancement.

Intense Longing

Shocked Staff (SS) was alarmed at the scene when the door opened. Male Talent’s (MT) hands were all over the breasts of Female Co-worker (FC). SS and MT go way back and SS knows MT’s escapades and other extra-relationships well. However, the incident was something that could not be tolerated.

MT is currently in a relationship and FC is committed as well. To save face, MT talked to SS and said that FC has a crush on him. FC often followed him, even to the comfort room. He told her to stop. However, FC was insistent on being with him and thus, wanted what happened in the room. SS reminded MT that they will be in trouble if the production team found out. Their partners might even hear about him and FC getting too cozy and intimate. MT asked SS to keep quiet and not mention the incident.

SS approached FC and gave her the same warning, which she acknowledged. SS subsequently talked to Influential Personality (IP). IP reprimanded MT and told him to control his urges. IP cautioned MT that FC can be obsessive. MT said that was fine with him.

A few days later, SS could no longer open the room of MT, as the door was locked from the inside. SS had to sleep along the hallway. Come morning, SS saw FC in the room. SS realized the reminders were futile.

To save cost and time, the production staff opted for lock-in taping. From the crew to the involved celebrities, everyone had to endure missing their family, or so they thought. One night, Lead Talent (LT) was seen leaving the compound. The Production Manager (PM) reprimanded the guard, who said that LT had clearance from Higher Up (HU) and was just going to the parked car of Troubled Boyfriend (TB). PM kept quiet when HU was mentioned.

The next night, LT was seen escaping by A Staff (AS). AS then told PM, who said LT was permitted by HU. However, AS was talkative and raised the point that LT might be compromising the health of the production. Besides, the rule must be applied to all. Furthermore, technology was available if LT and TB needed to talk unless they were doing something else in the car. Subsequently, the word spread among the production.

The tension was high and the displeasure among staff and actors reached HU. The guard was called and he said that LT had HU’s blessing. HU denied the claim. HU then talked to LT, who said that TB was undergoing a moment and she needed to be with him. LT was told to undergo a swab test, which turned out negative. She was reminded to stop sneaking out as the shoot would be done soon.

Later, AS found out that LT was not reprimanded. AS was instructed to keep quiet, as LT’s test came out negative anyway. If the story reached the press, social media would be zeroing in on LT and the show. While the staff was disappointed, LT remained stoic and unapologetic for using HU’s name and endangering everyone with her escapades.

Knows Her Well

The meeting was finally set. Estranged Personality (EP) wanted to impress their visitors. EP had not seen Awaited Visitor (AV) and Considerate Partner (CP) for more than a year. The get-together was most awaited and to make the day special, EP availed of the services of a caterer. EP even spent for the swab tests of the staff to ensure a safe gathering.

On the day itself, CP told AV he was not feeling well. AV checked CP’s temperature to make sure he was not making an excuse, as the meeting was important to her. Unfortunately, health matters prevailed. AV informed EP that they would not be able to make it. EP went ballistic and questioned CP’s sincerity. AV defended CP, insisted he had fever, and raised her concern for everyone’s safety.

EP did not buy the story and told AV that she had spent a sum on the feast. Further, EP said that AV should have called ahead of time. AV replied they could just partake of the food. EP responded that they are not used to catered food and repeated that she paid so much.

AV realized where EP was going and said she will cover the cost. EP snapped back and said AV should indeed pay the caterer. Thus, EP instructed that half of the food be brought to AV and the payment be collected fully.
