Dennis Uy’s Udenna Foundation and MyongJi Hospital in Fight Against Covid-19 Donate Diagnostic Kits

Yeong Gi Kim, official representative of MyongJi Medical Foundation and CanerRop in the Philippines, with Tessa Artadi, Udenna Corporation Head Marketing and Communications, at Udenna's headquarters in Bonifacio Global City.

Early this week, the private sector once again showed its contribution to helping the fight against Covid-19. On March 13, Udenna Foundation, which is headed by Chairperson Dennis Uy, together with MyongJi Hospital in South Korea, donated 1,000 Covid-19 diagnostic kits to the Department of Health.

MyongJi Hospital is among the first to have a significant part in diagnosing and treating the first patients of Covid-19 in Seoul. The hospital used test kits developed by its subsidiary, Biomedical company- CancerRop. In two hours, the kit can generate diagnoses with almost 99.99% accuracy. Early detection is key to treating Covid-19 patients, as they can be given the appropriate treatment and placed in isolation.

MyongJi Hospital pledges to exchange knowledge with DOH concerning treatment protocols for all levels of Covid-19 patients. Udenna Foundation, meanwhile, will continue its cooperation with DOH in reaching people and providing information about preventing the spread of Covid-19 and mitigating worry.

Freedom is a privilege that most people will not take for granted. Moving about and minding one’s business are activities that are valued and anyone who tramples on such freedom will be met with resistance. Thus, when former Cloistered Personality (CP) realized that she can find her own path, her friends noticed the big change. CP was radiant and her happiness came from within.

Before finding the real feeling of happiness, CP continued to undergo experiences that should have ended the moment she reached the age of maturity. However, Influential Woman (IW) made sure CP’s movements were monitored and controlled even way past that age. IW made her presence felt wherever CP was and even with her male friends, IW kept a close eye.

One day, CP realized she had enough and wanted to change her life with Young Man (YM). IW ruined that moment and became hysterical at CP and YM at an event. Allegedly, IW pointed her fingers at YM’s family and accused him of only wanting CP’s money and influence. YM’s family was shocked at the words spewed by IW and the expletives heightened the tension. The atmosphere made A Matriarch (AM) want to get even with IW, but was stopped by Female Member (FM). FM told AM to extend her understanding for IW.

Later, Powerful Executive (PE) told IW to stop thinking that YM was just after CP’s money. YM’s family was financially well-off and money was never an attraction for YM. PE said that CP was in love with YM and YM had the same feelings. In other words, the two were much in love. The force of love was too powerful to be broken. IW realized she had been defeated, left, and ostracized CP and YM.

Now that CP is finally free, she and YM are starting a life together. With minimal things in her possession, CP was assured that YM and PE would provide for her needs. YM set up a temporary home, while PE advanced her pay for future projects. This time, PE ensured that all earnings of CP would end up in her own account. With her newly found freedom, CP is enjoying activities that people take for a routine, such as shopping and buying groceries. Although she feels uncomfortable, as people would flock toward her, CP is cherishing such moments. For her, her new path is a road away from her comfort zone and toward learning. A few mistakes here and there and realizations as well, CP is very willing to live a normal life and run her own home.
