Just About Moving On

Leaving and moving on become easy when one has strong motivation. In local showbiz, when celebrities decide to move to another management or even network, the supposed safest answer is the end of a contract. Other reasons include wanting new opportunities and desiring growth as an artist. Unless a controversy involving the celebrity and his/her management is exposed to the public, transferring talents would just be accepted as in.

Nonetheless, leaving can be a hard decision to make especially if a talent has practically grown up with a particular outfit. Several celebrities started as kids, moved on to adulthood, and stayed on even if they did have yet to achieve stardom. Loyalty mattered to them as well as the presence of the feeling of contentment in their comfort zone.

When Versatile Talent (VT) decided to move out of his network, many of his fans were surprised. After all, if he really wanted to move, that action should have been done earlier or with a controversial reason. VT never ran out of projects and he has even played lead roles. He is a competent actor and performer on stage. Thus, the reasoning that he wants to move on seems too simple.

According to the grapevine, VT made the drastic move because he felt abandoned during a moment of trial in his personal life. When social media lambasted him for an unbecoming act, his network did not do anything. No statement was issued on his behalf even though the accusations remained unproven. His alleged misdeed was not clarified and no one bothered to ask how he was. The moment was quite trying as it could have cost him all the hard work he did for his reputation.

The silence of his management was deafening, but for some observers, the silence could have been a form of damage control. The alleged incident was not at all pursued, but still the management kept quiet. Meanwhile, VT did not say anything and just worked with the projects that were given to him. Unlike some of his contemporaries, VT is not known for answering in social media, which could be the reason why bashers quickly condemned him.

The good think about his moving on is that no negative news followed it. The question is if he would accept the fact that he might not be given the same treatment as he had in his previous network. Nonetheless, his new home was happy in welcoming him and projects are waiting for him.
